Excellent service, atmosphere, and food. The patio with the fountain was a delight to sit next to. Will definitely come back again.
Great food. Spotty service. BUT definitely worth the drive.
Service was very poor 30minutes for a drink 45 until a menu
A/c made the place where we sat damn cold.
Took at least 20 minutes to get a second drink. 20minutes for the third drink Think we had at least three different servers
Not a pleasant evening
We had not been to Sidney in years. My biggest complaint was that the food was not hot. We ordered the calamari appetizer, and I would have said it was barely room temperature which, for a dish like that, made it totally unenjoyable for me. My husband ate it (he can eat anything cold.) Having said that, my entree (the salmon with gnocchi, horseradish/mustard/dill sauce) was EXCELLENT. Not hot, but hot enough to eat and enjoy. $10 desserts (for the size you get) is a little too pricey for me. The room was pretty open and therefore a bit loud, but not so loud that I couldn’t hear the people at our table. One of my friends ordered something that was no longer available, and the waitress came to tell him without a menu in hand so he could choose something else. She had to go get him a menu. That and we had to track our waitress down to get more water part way through the meal is why I dinged the service.
If they served the food hot and the server paid a little closer attention, it would be more worth the money to go there.
Food and wine were outstanding. Service was a little slow. Well worth the trip to East Berlin.
The food was delicious, the old home very interesting. If you eat early , noise level is better. Presentation of food very eye appealing. A little pricey but considering they have an actual chef , it is worth it, a wonderful place to go for a special dinner out.
A great find!
Never disappoints. Always my favorite pick for special occasions. The wine list, staff, presentation and good are always exceptional. Plus, the historic atmosphere is perfect for an intimate or group setting.
Excellent meal for three; well prepared, nice presentation and made with good ingredients. Good service and low noise. Very pleasant. We visited Sidney when they first opened; nice to come back so many years later and find a similar quality.
The chef makes wonderful pate, and that is the reason we go there. He also makes wonderful soups. Our idea of a delicious light dinner there is the pate and soup. We shared the pavlova for dessert. We talked about how delicious the food was and how we can't wait to go back nearly nonstop on the half-hour drive home. We have had other more traditional dinner entrees there, and they are also delicious. It's definitely worth the drive.
Very nice place in a small town. Quality food prepared just right. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.
Always excellent food and the service has improved immensely since I first started going there
Sirloin was poor quality
Excellent food and service. Treats from the Chef were outstanding!
As always everything was wonderful!! My favorite place to eat.
Sydney is our go-to place for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. They are consistently one of the best restaurants in the area!
Lovely space. Quiet. Nice spot for a special evening out. Food was uniquely presented, very flavorful& enjoyable. Server was more formal & more present than I appreciate but that’s a matter of taste. Would recommend it. May go back to experience tha patio sometime.
A great menu, with a few new items. Both the salmon and skate dishes included homemade gnocchi potatoes which were wonderful.
Very noisy. Wish we had been in smaller room where bar noise was not so bad. Too bad no doors between bar and dining area.
Food was beautifully presented. Fiance’s steak was over cooked. Other food was wonderful!
The food was very good as was the service. I would definitely recommend to a friend and go again myself.
The food was a little disappointing. The service was great. It was not very busy for s Friday night, and that was an indication that it was not very popular with the locals. The prime rib was fatty and grainy. The chicken was very good and recommended.
Another great meal. It was our second time there and it was just as delicious as the first. This is a great restaurant and one of our new favorites.
Food was great and our server truly knew the menu and was very friendly. Would return.
Good food nice atmosphere, easy to find, friendly staff
Wonderful place. Charming, old building with an old floor. Very good food. Expensive by local standards, but inexpensive by New York City standards. The chef is creative. The steak and the pork loin we're good, but I loved the food gras appetizer the best. Sydney's is one of the best restaurants in the area. I highly recommend it.
It was our first time there and it definitely lived up to the reviews. An amazing restaurant in East Berlin.
Everything was wonderful: service, atmosphere and food. The pate was delicious, and the chef makes great so ups.
Was deeply disappointed with the meal. Had asked to substitute the nochi with blue crab instead of lentils which I can’t have. Wanted the sea bass. Waitress was accommodating. Got food and nochi was not appealing at all. Asked to have something else. I was given 4 small floweretts of brocholli . Totally not worth the money paid. We spent 186.00 total and was extremely dissapointed.
Hope you all can strive to do better
Food was excellent as was the service. Looking forward to our next visit!
Four of us celebrated our mutual birthdays at a special meal at Sidney. It was delightful. The food was delicious and beautiful. The service was attentive and helpful but never overbearing. We had a memorable, lovely time. Worth going back to again and again.
We've had a number of excellent meals at Sidney, so I know they're capable of great things. Saturday night's dinner wasn't quite up to par with our previous experiences. We were seated alone in a cold dining room (why we were segregated wasn't clear, since there were empty tables in the livelier other room). Our server was ok, but rather impersonal. The food was fine, but the sea bass was somewhat over cooked and served on a bed of barely lukewarm cauliflower puree. On the other hand, the prime rib (according to my table mates) was excellent. We'll go back to Sidney -- again, because we know it can be great - but Saturday seemed to be a bit of an off night.
A great find! Food was excellent and my wife claims the dessert was one of the best she's ever had!
Sidney is my favorite restaurant. Everyone there is wonderful. Especially like it when we can sit outside on the patio. It is a real treat to dine there.
The mushroom soup was amazing and the meal was very nice. Our server always showed up just at the right time and the experience was delightful. Thank you!
Exquisite food... delightful and creative drinks! Just enjoyed the whole dinning experience!
The atmosphere at this restaurant was very cozy and nice. We ordered the calamari appetizer, and the flavor was a bit overwhelming for our liking. I did overhear another table comment on how much they enjoyed it, so I’m sure it depends on your own preference and taste. My husband ordered a chicken dish that was very good. My dish, which was a braised short rib special, was just ok. The service was good. Although, it did take a very long time to receive our dessert. We weren’t in a hurry and didn’t mention it, but the staff apologized regardless. I’d be willing to give this restaurant another try.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals, server and the ambience. Sidney is a gem of Adams County! We will dine there again!
Another great meal! Specialty drinks were outstanding, dessert was yummy. Have never had a bad meal here!
I was very happy to see that Sidney had put heavy drapes in their main dining room. It reduced the noise level significantly. It allowed the people at each table to carry on a comfortable conversation.
The food and service were always good. I was glad to see that they had corrected the one item which had tended to reduce their ratings for ambiance.
