Sicilian Pasta Kitchen (South) Ratings and Reviews
The hostesses sat us down right away. Waitress was quick to get to our table. She forgot to mention the half and half pasta combo but no big issue. I ordered a starter soup which was excellent. Everything tasted very fresh. Food was also prepared very quickly! Had my main course before my soup was done! My girlfriend ordered chicken Alfredo with spinach which looked amazing. I had veal tortellini with a cream sauce. Odd combo I know but very good. There’s also gluten free options. The whole experience was very nice and the food is cheap! Would recommend to any and everyone
My friend had the mussels and said they were fantastic. Her meal was okay as well.
I had the arancini to start and they looked wonderful but the rice was mushy and in my opinion inedible. I had the special for the evening which was the two pasta dishes. Can’t recall the names but one was tortellini with some sauce and the other was a wiggly pasta of some sort and I asked for just a cream sauce. They were both just okay. I would not order either again.
Our server was good. Attentive enough and knowledgeable.
The restaurant is nicely decorated and the seating is comfortable. Unfortunately, at the end of our meal we were sprayed with whatever they clean the tables with from a server cleaning the table above us. The entire side of my face and our entire table was sprayed. We were really not impressed. The server said sorry but if I was her I would have let the manager know what happened so he/she could drop by and make sure everything was okay.
I might try it again if my friend gets a craving for mussels again but being that it was a pricey meal for mediocre taste, I won’t be rushing back.
The server took forever to take our drink order, when she finally brought our drinks she dropped our bottle of water on me. They brought out our meals while we we're still eating the appetizer. I ordered the ravioli fungi, not a mushroom to be found nor did it taste like mushrooms or truffle as indicated on the menu, there was also a ton mostly raw chunks of onion and the ravioli were swimming in oil. The dish was almost inedible.. they offered me sautéed mushrooms to add to then charged me for them!!! I unfortunately will not be going back nor will I be bringing the group of 12 in two weeks as planned.
The manager called me and rectified the situation, appreciate the effort.
Our lunch meals were very tasty and reasonably priced. It is nice to have free parking. Clinton was pleasant and attentive to our needs. We were happy that you willingly gave each of our party separate bills. Perhaps at the beginning of our lunch it could be mentioned that there would be a 17% large party tip added to our bills. Many of us added a tip without reading the fine print. Overall a pleasant experience and we will return. We meet as a group once month.
Our family has been going to Sicilian Pasta Kitchen for as long as I remember probley 30 years. The food is always good, the staff is always pleasant our waiter Jason was exceptional and have never left this restaurant with anything other than my guests and I having a great time. They service a fantastic mothers day brunch which we enjoy yearly and their mussels dish is an amazing treat to be remembered and talked about long after enjoying.
Our server was super accommodating (and quite a charmer, I might add). The food was also delicious. My only complaint was that the runners who brought out the food were actually quite rude when trying to figure out which dishes were each guest's as they did not seem patient with the situation and looked as though they couldn't be bothered to even be present that night. Otherwise I love SPK and would come back.
Our server was unable to answer questions about the menu (ingredients of dishes /drinks and couldn't give us price of specials). One meal had to be returned because of undisclosed cheese as garnish. One side dish was never ordered by our server. Everyone was pleased with quality of food but too many other problems. Birthday girl was given dessert which was nice. Over all...probably would not recommend.
I do not read reviews. I have been going to Sicilian Pasta Kitchen (South) for many years on the face-to-face recommendation of one of my husband's employees who had lived in the neighbourhood. Once we dined there the first time we were hooked and have visited a dozen times as a couple, a dozen times with friends, and a handful of times with family for my birthday.
We will continue to visit this wonderful restaurant
Very disappointed compared to our last visit. The wait after we ordered was ridiculously long (people were seated, ordered and ate all after we ordered and before we received our dinner). The food from the salad to all of our pasta dishes was bland and boring. Will not be returning anytime soon.
We've been meaning to go here forever - and I regret not coming earlier. The atmosphere is casual but comfortable. Our server was attentive but not over bearing. The food was exceptional - we enjoyed the Funghi soup and brushetta to start - both were excellent. Our pasta was cooked perfectly and the portions are significant. We wanted to enjoy dessert so boxed up half for another meal. The Blackout Torte lives up to its description and was a decadent treat. The value was great and we will definitley be returning and bringing frienss and family.
