This place is SOLID. It is definitely place that you can always count on exceptional food , service and ambiance. Went there for my birthday dinner
si bon is always wonderful. so great having a truly european bistro we can just drop into (with reservations!) for comforting, beautifully-prepared fare. generous portions, lovely variety of wines by the glass or bottle, and charming, efficient service. our most recent visit, the service people were surprised by a full house this early in the winter season, and even the manager had to pitch in serving wine and helping with tables. these well-trained folks function as a team, to their guests' benefit. always a good time, guarantee. (mussels with frites and a veal liver special are standouts, but don't shy from the escargot-topped savory belgian waffle... it's swoon-worthy!)
Always. Friendly staff (victor). 6 guests. All had different orders, each very good
We enjoy Si Bon and have visited many many times. It is usually busy because the food is great! The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. Phillipe does a great job as the chef!
My party of 6 had an excellent experience at Si Bon, just as expected basted on past experiences.
We like very much the the atmosphere, casual ,clean and delicious food without the wasteful large portions we find in most restaurants ...👍cold cucumber soup 😋...
Enjoyed meeting friends and good food.
Best brunch in town and great service!
Excellent food especially the mussels.
Si Bon is always wonderful - the food, staff, atmosphere, everything. Love it!
Quick service, tasty food. Extensive menu
What a fantastic find. The food and service exceeded our expectations. We can’t rave enough about the variety and flavors we experienced. Truly a gem in valley. Also a great value with more generous portions than most other restaurants we have tried on this trip
The patio is lovely, but the NOISE from the trucks in the parking lot was super annoying
Great food, attentive staff, pleasant outdoor dining
Excellent food, great variety, great quality; and great service.
We always go for the lobster mac and cheese--it never disappoints! The patio is my favorite setting, very comfortable and quiet, ideal for conversation.
Always a great experience at Si Bon.
Normally love everything about Si Bon. Today wasn’t as grand, but probably just an off day. Most of our group enjoyed their meal. Several dishes were cool. Waitress could have been more attentive.
Again, will consider this a bad day and try again, most often absolutely love this place!!
Best for the money in the desert.
We had awesome experience! The food, drinks, service, and ambience were excellent. Our guest loved it too!
We were completely satisfied with the whole experience. Thanks. We will be back soon!
Every time I visit Si Bon it is an experience. The food is always fantastic and the ambiance is perfect on a desert evening.
All good. Really appreciated our table location. Perfect for a wheelchair patron: accessible but out of traffic lanes. Our matte d made a good selection. Thank you!
Hidden away in a small shopping area, this restaurant was a real find. The service, food and overall ambience were excellent and we will certainly be returning on our next visit to the area. If you get the chance you should try the Weiner Schnitzel which is the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world
Was there with a friend. Had a very nice lunch. Live the lobster salad.
My only criticism was the server was very rushed and made some mistakes on order
Excellent as always. Great menu at reasonable prices.
Waffles were excellent, as were the potatoes in all forms, home fry/French fry. The fried chicken and waffles suffered from dry chicken. The blueberry pancakes were very good, very fresh blueberries. But the star of this show was actually the side order of bacon. No joke, probably some of the best bacon I’ve ever had.
We’ve enjoyed breakfast and lunch here several
times and always are very pleased. Yesterday, for approximately what you’d spend for a McDonalds value meal breakfast, we enjoyed a breakfast sampler for $10. Eggs, waffle, sausage, potatoes, coffee, fresh squeezed OJ - for $10!! People are always friendly, prompt, and they take pride in their work. It’s in the Top 10 of favorites in the Desert.
Wonderful food and service; we've never had anything under par at Si Bon. There are nightly specials, and a Prix Fixe meal with slightly smaller portions.
And the most amazing chilled cucumber soup! We order it nearly every time we're there. And pommes frites that are perfectly cooked every time. After all, the Belgians invented them, not the French. The owner/chef is Belgian, so his sauces have a continental flair. The menu has something for everyone, as we took a vegetarian friend there last week, and she had many good choices--not all salads, either.
The patio is lovely for year-round dining, and we take all of our out-of-town guests there. Ignore the strip-mall location, this is a fantastic restaurant (with plenty of parking)!
Food is always excellent at Si Bon. Love it!!
The Sea Bass was excellent as was the service. We sat on the patio which was lovely.
Gracious and efficient service from Beth. The Brussels Sprout soup was terrific. A very nice half papaya and chicken salad finished out the meal. Our go to lunch/brunch spot.
Wonderful atmosphere food is excellent beautiful service.
Great food. Good prices. Great value. Great service. Will go back when in town.
Service was prompt but for the bill. Both salads were very good and loved sitting on the patio. Fifth visit and always a nice time.
BEWARE. The corporate owners run their credit card charges through an entity with a Florida address, and if you're traveling (or even locals, as we are) the automatic fraud alert at your bank may be triggered for a transaction which may appear outside of your normal spending patterns and the charge declined. This happened to us, and without warning. A call to the bank straightened it out, but it was inconvenient, if not annoying (and potentially embarrassing. The server handled it well, and being quite accustomed to this sort of thing (I extensively travel, most of it international), what caught me off guard was that there was no notice, anywhere, that this might occur.
Generally, when a restaurant bills from out of area (or even under a different name), it is mentioned somewhere (e.g., on the menu, on the charge slip, or elsewhere). This is common, and it would have solved a temporary mystery. What is NOT common is when I wish to discuss this with a manager or someone else in authority, is that rather than feeling as though my sentiments were valued or appreciated, instead my ideas are rebuffed or otherwise handled dismissively. Feeling frustrated and not being able to properly communicate, I finally said, "Okay, then please treat this as a complaint," at which time I was told, "That's the way it is, and there is nothing we can do," which, of course, is nonsense. The manager on duty might consider honing his listening, empathy, and customer service skills.
We commute year-round to the Coachella Valley, and we never cook. A glance at my "local" reviews on Open Table demonstrates that we are avid fans of dining out, especially in this region, where the norm is to embrace guests with really good food & service. In my opinion, with all of the competition for hospitality in the region, this experience at Si Bon (which we've previously visited more than once) does not merit our return. Part of it is their bizarre charges, but most of it was the manager on duty.
3 out of 4 had the salmon special and 1 had the sole special. All were very good and everyone agreed they would definitely go back again.
Food wonderful. Patio seating lovely. We were seated fast, and the food delicious. Be back!
The Halibut special was superb and the service was great, as usual.
always an excellent meal at Si Bon. Service is fiendly and efficient. A frequent fining spot.
