The food and service was spectacular. A++++
Our waiter, Jeff, was excellent. And the food was delicious. I did find it overly loud, however.
We have been to this Shula's many times, but it had been two years since our last visit. We were shocked at how the quality of food had gone down. From the salad to the dessert, it was not the restaurant we loved. The steaks were tough, the potatoes au gratin were a joke, the asparagus tough and undercooked. The meal was a disappointment, and certainly not worth the price of a fine dining steakhouse. The only bright spot of dinner was a server, Amina. She was delightful. When we return to Wildhorse Pass Hotel next year, we will not spend the money to eat at Shula's.
Being in a casino venue the atmosphere was less the intimate / quiet for a nice dinner. Our waitress when requesting our order couldn't remember the special. After our meal was served our waitress not once checked back with us until we were done eating. Being a highly rated high end steak house throughout the nation our experience was less then we anticipated. We anticipated the food, service, and atmosphere to align with Ruth Chris or Morton's and unfortunately it did not.
Great food and great service. Chef Eric is the best!
Maybe visited on an off-night. Normally Shula’s is other-worldly in service and food quality. This night was slightly above average. The restaurant was surprisingly warm, almost uncomfortable. The service was fair. Nothing to rave about. But still, even on an average experience, still better than most. We’ll be back.
Everything was superb. We enjoyed the lobster, filet, loaded potato and the poached asparagus. Service was awesome. Thank you for a great experience.
It's not the same anymore food quality has gone down.
The food was cooked to perfection. The steak was an excellent cut of beef and extremely flavorful. The servers were very attentive and interactive. We had a great time so thank you Shula staff.
Ala cart for everything seems a bit over the top when for example you order a $50.00 steak and that is all you get unless you order alacart
Food here is not the same quality as it used to be.
Our server, Jeff, did an outstanding job. Food was very good, but disappointed with some of the menu changes.
Went for lunch Sunday, March 16th. Only 2 servers for the whole restaurant, 1 of which was also doubling as the bartender. No table busboys, the manager and greeter had to do that as well as help with serving food and drinks. The people who were there working were working hard and all the patrons seemed pretty patient and understanding. We truly felt terrible for them, they were obviously severely understaffed. This isn't the first time we've witnessed poor service there, my review in June 2019 would verify that. Due to the lack of attention due to this we were neglected, understandably not intentionally, but nonetheless for the prices you pay here the service should be 1st rate. In fact, they should lean towards being overstaffed in order to ensure the type of service one would expect at Shula's. I would say this will be our last time dining here unless major improvements are made in regards to the service. The food was good, but for less than half the price we would have had a better experience at Texas Roadhouse or Black Angus.
Unfortunately the Menu has changed quite a lot. My wife and I did not think that the food was as good as it was in the past years that we have been coming here.
We discussed the experience quite a bit over the weekend and have decided to look elsewhere for a date night restaurant.
If we are going to pay almost $200 for dinner and drinks we want to feel that the experience as worth it.
We both feel that Shula's fell very short this time.
While the service was VERY good, we feel the food choice, taste and cost are not a match for us anymore.
Valentine’s Day dinner
It took a half an hour to get the menus then another 15 minutes before we could order. The food was prepared perfectly. The take home desert had a strawberry with mold on it.
Took a lot of time to get water and order. Menu for lunch is small and does not include steak. Steak was only offered at request and did not include anything. After ordering a salad and a 6oz steak. We waited another 40mins while others, who came after us, were being served. After an hour we leave without eating. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.
One table left before ordering due to extremely slow service at 1:30 with restaurant almost empty. Very slow service and not responsive
Great atmosphere very clean. The food was outstanding cooked to perfection. The service was to die for thank you for the great experience.
My wife and I come here once a year to celebrate our birthdays and wedding anniversary, and it is always made a wonderful experience by the staff at Shula’s. This evening was no exception. The restaurant was as always very clean, the staff very attentive and friendly, the food better each time we come. Would always recommend Shula’s to anyone.
Excellent food and service. Price as expected for upscale restaurant
Had a great time. Food was delicious. Service really good.
Excellent service, as always. Josh was our server-made us feel as though we were his only customers; very attentive, impeccable timing of each course. The filet and salmon were cooked to perfection. The shrimp cocktail was amazing. Sad to see the prime rib is no longer on the menu, however-it was my personal favorite. Only disappointment was in the carrot cake-dry, tasted “frozen”. The cream cheese frosting was bland, tasteless. No hint of carrot! But we’ll be back next year for our anniversary!
Beautiful restaurant. Food was amazing especially the Oscar Halibut.
Drinks were priced fair for the quality of cocktail that was ordered- lemon martinis were perfect.
Server was very polite, patient and very knowledgeable with menu and even suggested the halibut which I of course, ordered and loved it.
Will be back again.
Another perfect steak dinner at Shula's ... great wine list ... good martinis ... always perfect bread ... and the best steaks ... a NY and a filet. Wonderful.
A wonderful experience for our 49th anniversary! Good service and food.
Service was terrible. Found out after that the tip was already included for a party of two. Ordered salmon pan seared medium and it came out well done. Took so long but I didn’t even want to send it back. The entire experience was terrible
My steak was over cooked from what I ordered then the steak was under cooked on 2nd try.
We just moved to Arizona from Miami and have a tradition of going to Shula’s 347 in South Miami for my partner’s birthday every year. I was elated to find a Shula’s close by in Chandler to surprise him with for this year’s celebration. We were not disappointed! The menu was a bit different of course, but there were some interesting new things for us to try and the steaks were just as good as we were used to. We had a wonderful meal and will definitely be back next year and every year after this!
The food was good and our server was good. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Our server had too many tables ....period! He had 5-6 tables all seated at the same time. He always smiled and never complained or had excuses. We had a nice time but did not get the service one would expect for paying the money. Not our servers fault We enjoyed our time and dinner.
Great food and service, we had reservations for lunch but wasn’t necessary. The menu had a nice variety. We enjoyed our birthday treat.
We were 5 minutes late for our reservation. Therefore, they apparently decided to punish us by making us wait another 5 minutes for our table, even though there were plenty of available tables.
I ordered a 14 oz ribeye, medium rare. It came out medium to medium well. Not close to medium rare. The manager offered to cook me another, but I declined because my dinner companion already had hers. I did not want to wait another 15 minutes for mine. Instead, he offered me a free dessert, which I accepted.
I had asked for a glass of wine to be delivered with my steak. I had to ask for it again, after speaking to the manager about my steak.
My dinner companion was celebrating a birthday, so they gave her a bowl of vanilla ice cream for dessert. The waiter didn’t ask me about dessert until she was almost half way done with hers. When I did order it, I mentioned that the manager was comping it, due to my steak. The waiter then tried to make an excuse for why it was overcooked. I wasn’t interested in hearing it.
If this was a coffee shop or an inexpensive steak house, I could accept these issues. However, our bill for 2 was almost $200 (well over that, after tip). I expect better for that price.
BTW, my water glass was empty for the last 15 minutes there, while eating dessert.
There are many good steakhouses in this area. I don’t plan to come back to Shula’s again.
Had mixed feelings after reading the many reviews, but decided to try it for lunch as a basis of whether we would return for a full out dinner. The server though pleasant appeared to be either new or nervous and kept taking one menu and the wine list away while we were deciding. Following our selection of wine she poured a tasting for my wife and once she determined our choice was OK, proceeded to pour a tasting for me as well (odd) from which she spilled a minor amount on the table. That could be overlooked as those silly demi-carafes that the wine arrives in, do not pour well to begin with. Unfortunately she did not clean up the spillage until 15 minutes later when our first course arrived. We started with the calamari which in this restaurant comes in strips, which we had not seen before. Having said that they were very hot. cooked perfectly and very tender and the accompanying sauces were very nice. My wife had the 1/2 sandwich and Tomato Bisque soup. The sandwich was supposed to be grilled (it looked like a quick flip in a toaster) and the soup was luke warm so not the best, but tasty. I ordered the steak sandwich which comes laden with various sauces and jams and asked that they be put on the side. Alas that must have fallen on deaf ears as they cam on the sandwich itself. I must say that the meat was done perfectly and was very tender and even with the myriad of flavors going on with the sauces, it would have been delicious with just the meat and melted cheese. I would certainly have that again at lunch. All in all the $75 cost was not outrageous but as you can see the total experience was not that of a 5 star restaurant. I doubt that we will return for dinner knowing that the service can be better and the food prepped the same temperature for all guests at our table. We were satisfied but not blown away, in an establishment that purports to be on the level of Ruth's Chris, The Keg, DC Steakhouse, Durant's, etc. with a perceived best of the best name tag.
We were celebrating our engagement. Our server Marco was awesome. He even sang us a song to celebrate.
We had Marco as our waiter and he was absolutely the best ever.
I had the ribeye and lobster, the steak was just okay, lobster was really good.
My wife had the Roasted Half Chicken, she said would not order again.
My friend had the sames as me and liked it, his wife ordered Halibut Oscar and enjoyed it.
This is the loudest high-end restaurant I have ever dined in! It was packed with large parties of boisterous people, making conversation in possible without yelling. The atmosphere felt like a very classy sports bar, minus the large screen TVs playing "the game". The food portions are extremely small and the flavor/presentation doesn't justify the price.
I have been to this restaurant several times in the past and have always considered their steaks to be some of the best in the industry. However it is clear that many changes have occurred at the restaurant since my last visit. They no longer have tablecloths, they don't do a presentation of their steaks, and they have seriously downgraded their birthday dessert. I had a 14 oz. ribeye that was cut very thin (used to be a thick cut); quite frankly the steaks I grill from the local grocery store are better quality and taste than the $55 steak I had at Shula's! Even the server apologized for the cut of the steak, and suggested next time that I get the bone-in ribeye. There might not be a next time.
Fantastic service and the food is incredible
Their "Signature" Macaroni and Cheese with lobster added was terrible! It was VERY DRY AND TASTELESS and for 10 dollars above the regular mac and cheese you get 1 to 2 ounces of dry, overcooked lobster.
Also, the Halibut Oscar was served undercooked 2 times. It was sent back after the first one and the second one came back still undercooked. We gave up after that.
On the bright side the lobster bisque, the New York strip and the French bread were good.
I have been going here since they opened and the food quality in general as well as the service have steadily down hill ove the last 3 years. That I most likely won't go back.
Steaks seasoned and cooked to perfection. They sauté spinach in olive oil with garlic, which is the ONLY way it should be served. And the sourdough bread is the best. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very efficient. Love this restaurant.
