Shula's Steak House - Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino Ratings and Reviews
The 3 stars is due to the restaurant not having clear communication over the phone when we called with specific questions. They made up for it when we got there! Food and Service was excellent, I would highly recommend for a special occasion. Pricing was similar to Ruth Chris Steak House, I would pick Shula’s hands down over other Steak and Seafood restaurants.
1. Table was not ready and we had to wait 20 mins
2. Requested booth but they stated none available. However, 3 booths were empty all night
3. Service poor
4. Servers got drinks/wine order wrong twice
5. Servers forgot to bring dessert but still charged us
6. Manager never came to check on us
Expect much better at those prices
Manager should be made aware; embarrassing and shameful
This was a most disappointing dining experience I have had for at least the last 2 years
Our reservations was for 6:30 PM .
We were a party of 4
2 of us ordered the prime rib ( rare) which we were informed the kitchen had 1 rib and it was no longer rare or maybe not even med rare So we had to change our order
After ordering our salad, entre, sides and wine all at the same time
Our meals were served but the sides served were not correct
After starting eating our meals we had to ask when our wine was coming
Our coffee was served luke warm with our desert
We all have enjoyed dinner at Shula's many times before but this experience was a good reason not to come back
We all have noticed a much poorer customer service consideration at Wild Horse Pass casino starting in 2017
We will be finding other venue's for our entertainment dollars
This was our second time dining at Shula's. Both have been excellent. The steak is amazing but that should be expected. The sides are delicious as well. Fish was cooked to perfection. The wait staff is top notch and every thing you would expect from an upscale steakhouse.
We celebrated my parents 59th Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everyone commented and wished my parents a Happy Anniversary. They brought them a piece of cake to share.
Overall..it was a great place...the food was fantastic....and the service was wonderful. Will definitely go back again.
Our experience was terrible! We made reservations early in the evening and quite a bit in advance, regardless of all the open seating, we were sat in a main aisle with heavy traffic, it was noisy and distracting, not relaxing at all. Then, while my husband was eating his meal, he almost choked on a long, long black hair. They offered to replace the expensive porter house we ordered, but who could eat after that. They never offered to remove it from our bill, which for me should have been the least they could do. I wrote a letter to the company and have gotten no response. I feel this is a huge lack of customer service. This was supposed to be a great holiday dinner and was a complete let down. This restaurant is very expensive, I expect more.
Our waiter was awful, didn’t pay any attention to us, didn’t ask if we wanted a drink, refill waters etc. we were there at 5pm and they were already out of prime rib suppedly. How can that be when they opened at 5 pm? The only time he was nice after us waiting forever for the bill was to get a to
Up I guess
Great restaurant. If you are looking for a step above for your steak house and seafood, Shula’s is a great step up. A little pricey, but for a special occasion or a great date night without the kids it is a great place. The staff are great and the food is amazing.
i only have 1 complaint. previously looking at the menu prior to arriving, I was really craving the Crispy Brussels Sprouts as 1 of my sides and was told they ran out, which was confusing due them opening at 5:00 and we dined at 5:30. Other than that everything was wonderful and can only assume the Brussels Sprouts were great also.
Service was exceptional. We both had prime rib and while the servings were huge, the meat was not as tender as we had anticipated. Otherwise, the meal was great and my wife was presented with a complimentary slice of scrumptious chocolate cake for her birthday!
Our only real complaint was the unbearable noise level. Come on, management, remove some of the redundant football pictures (which cover the walls) and install some sound deadening panels. Your customers will be grateful and much more likely to return!
Birthday dinner. Have always enjoyed Shula's but not this time. Seated quickly. Drinks arrived quickly. Appetizers were Oysters on the half shell and French Onion soup. Both were excellent. We ordered 16oz Prime Rib and shared a baked potato. Food came out quickly and looked good. Had to ask for a second plate so we could split the potato. Prime Rib was tough and I couldn't eat mine. Waited but server never came back to ask if food OK. A manager came by and asked how was the evening. We complained about the Prime Rib and the lack of attention by the server. Also told him we never were shown the tray of entrees that we could have picked from which is standard for Shula's. Manager left and rounded up the for us. Asked for something else, 6oz Filet. It was fine but the evening had already been ruined.
Great food, steaks were excellent and cooked as ordered and all items were well prepared. Service was very good at beginning of meal and during the meal. Unfortunately the server did not come back to ask us if we wanted dessert until a long time after we were done. By then we had given up on dessert and just wanted the check. Other than this one hiccup in the service I would definitely recommend the restaurant. On a side note their Lemon Drop drinks were awesome.
I am a steak guy in quest of the very best I beef I can find. Shula's is a very solid steakhouse entry. Excellent quality, very toothsome KC steak. Slightly past the medium rare I ordered but not too far over the mark. Service is on the razor's edge of being a little too much but really a quite nice waitperson. Table ordered sides of baked potato and Brussels sprouts were serviceable. (Personal view--Potato choice is a bit pedestrian but no complaints about prep.) One of the best features: too many places have good wines that are not ready to drink; Shula's has done a very good job of offering a fair number of good wines that are actually ready to drink. They aren't cheap (and there's no reason they should be). We had an excellent 2006 high-end California red blend. Good show!
