Great as always
We have also had a great experience at Shula's , the food was great but they dropped our steak on the floor by accident, we understand that can happen, we just felt that being we could not eat with our wives that they maybe shula's would have discounted the steaks or not charged for them , they did give us dessert. but we were very late for a concert we were going to and that is what made it frustrating
Appetizers were really good. Steak was not served medium rare, was not very flavorful, and the twice baked potatoes were dry and crumbly.
We like Shula's a lot, go there 5 to 6 times a year. This is first time that my rib eye steak was actually tough, hard to cut and chew. Usually they are tender and very flavorful, not this time.
Delicious food in an intimate setting. Lost our waitress when we needed her a few times, but overall a very nice evening out.
Service was not good at all. A real lack of attention and missing orders. Food was good but difficult to enjoy in such a loud atmosphere. We expected fine dining and it certainly did not deliver. Disappointed as this was celebration on a milestone birthday for my husband.
While the food was ok, not great, the service was very poor. It took us over two and a half hours to get in and out due to slow service. It was not due to Shula’s being busy either. Servers were dismissive and disinterested in doing a good job.
We have dined at Shulas numerous times at this location. Generally, food is good and service is excellent. We had the seafood trio for appetizer, never fails to satisfy. For entrée, the crab cakes were huge and there were 2 pieces which helped salvage the dinner for two because the halibut (seasonal and daily special) was hard and tasteless. Since we were time bound for another activity later on, we didn't return it. We were asked how dinner was to which we responded that the crab cake was delicious and the halibut was hard....clearly apparent since neither of us took more than a bite of it. The reduced star comes really from the response or non-response of the server, who just smiled, removed some empty dishes and left. Hmm.....
Another anniversary dinner at Shula's. Fantastic food as always. Service staff is impeccable and friendly.
I went there expecting to have a great dinner & ended up very disappointed. I have had a better streak from outback or Applebee’s. I’m sorry, but I will not return there or recommend it to anyone I know.
Service was great, as it usually is. Husband’s wedge salad was good as was my lobster bisque. I ordered the prime rib, which was a bit over cooked and very chewy. I’ve had prime rib here before and it was chewy then too, but I figured it was a fluke so decided to try it again. Will not be trying it a third time. Husband’s filet was cooked properly and tender.
The service is excellent. Typical steakhouse food. Good steaks and salads.
Great food and atmosphere got very noisy as we were finishing dinner as a large group showed up. The group took over the room and was there for a social function. Food was great scallops are excellent. Great service
We usually go to Ruth’s Chris or City Hall for prime steak. We gave Shula’s a try because it’s close to home and we needed a last minute reservation. Big mistake! The thing we liked the most was the bread, the butter and the guy who brought the bread out. Everything else was meh at most.
It was my birthday and it was perfect. The food was amazing and the waiter sang happy birthday in Italian. What else could one ask for?!!
Open venue there is not suitable for large parties that get intoxicated and loud. Had a hard time hearing the waiter and date.
Best bet for upscale Steakhouse dinner, attentive service and great food.
The steak was so tender; the Halibut excellent (even had enough for a second servicing when I got it home). Thank you!! :)
It was my Birthday we have been several times best lobster in town...until tonight. When we told the manager how awful it was he agreed that the quality was terrible but has yet to offer anything. They did take our number.....not sure what good that does. Shula’s entire presentation is about quality if you know the quality is terrible why would you serve it???? Never going back!
Food and service fantastic. Pricey.. but good.. A little noisy this last visit. Probably a sign of the times..If I brought kids taking that loud noise, I would be chastised...
We made a reservation, and upon arrival was told it’d be a few minutes for a table. Both the host and a server adamantly tried to get us to sit at the bar instead. The host said if we still wanted a table it’d be a few minutes. 15 minutes after our reservation time, we were walked back, past 4 already clean and set tables. The server mentioned bread, which didn’t come out until after our appetizer had dropped. It was obvious they were more concerned with closing up shop then service. Food was okay, not spectacular or memorable. Disappointing we got a sitter for this to be our date night.
First time at Shula's. Sadly, our entire party was disappointed. Service was not good, especially for the prices being charged. ($45 for salmon!?) Our head server was either very uninformed of the items on the menu, or having a bad day. The entrees were average at best, but again, high-end pricing. And, the noise level is terrible. We were all hoping for a "special dining experience", but did not find it here.
Was recommend by a friend, they weren't wrong! Brain, Frank and Manny were excellent in there services. And our steaks were from Nebraska, where our family has had a cattle ranch in western Nebraska since the 1890's. Enjoy the daycore having played college football back in the day. An my girlfriend enjoyed the experience too!!
Very disappointing overall. When we were seated, we were asked if we would like a wine list, and we said yes. We never received it, but when we opened the menu we found that there were several good wines listed there. We waited a while for our waiter to appear, but when we asked a question about the difference between the two tenderloin trios listed on the menu, he didn't know the answer, and told us that 'Jen' would come by with the steak cart and explain all of the different steaks available. That never happened. After another long wait, we must have started to look agitated, because a man who didn't seem to be a waiter asked if he could help us and we asked him about the two tenderloin trios. He said one of them was no longer offered, and the other sounded to us like too much food, so one of us ordered the lamb and the other ordered a 6 oz. tenderloin steak. We also ordered mushrooms, a Caesar salad, and a bottle of Duckhorn Merlot that we had found on the menu. He didn't ask what kind of steak sauce we wanted, but rather than come back to ask they gave us bernaise sauce; not our first choice but it was good. When we got the bill, the charge for the wine was $89 rather than the $55 shown on the menu. When we asked about this, our waiter went to check, and the man who took our order came back and said we ordered the Duckhorn Merlot that was on the wine list, not the Duckhorn 'Decoy' Merlot that was on the menu. We asked how we could possibly have done that since we never saw a wine list, and he argued with us, saying 'the word decoy was never spoken' and 'the wine bottle was properly presented to you.' (He was not the one who presented it.) He went and got the manager and after the manager discussed it with the many waitstaff involved, he revised the bill. This all took a good long time. The food was fine, not great, and the steak seemed rather expensive given the lack of any included sides. We would not go back.
Nice place to eat
Food was fabulous, service was good. Fantastic bartender!
Very underwhelming. I had the Cowboy ribeye andd when I first cut in to it it looked fine but as I continued eating it I noticed it was fairly dry inside. I ordered Medium rare and this was medium. We ordered a $115 bottle of wine that the steward opened and never returned until we had finished it.
Excellent service and excellent food. Would recommend, and always do, Shula's restaurant to family and friends all of the time.
The food and service was superb!
Shula's always serves great food and offers very good service. We are always seated right away and the wait staff is very attentive. The selections are fresh and we don't wait for a special occasion to dine at Shula's.
I love the food at shulas. I tell my friends and family also
Always good, but not quite as good this time as usual. Entries were a bit overcooked and sides were not quite up to par. Must have had the B team in the kitchen tonight. Service was good.
10 year wedding anniversary-have been there every year to celebrate. Wife always order prime rib-rare; I vary my choice between filet ordered 6 shrimp instead of usual 4. The two extra shrimp per appetizer added a whopping $10 each! Wow! Wedge salad and onion soup as well as bread were all wonderful. My salmon was tasteful. Overall, quite disappointed in the $47 prime rib and $8-&12 potatoes. Service was impeccable as always.
This was the worse experience we have ever received at Shula's. The food took a while to come out due to a larger party before us. When the food came out the filet mignon was cold. We advised the waiter seems like he took the steak back and zapped it in the microwave. He brought it back and it was over cooked. We had asked for a medium cooking, the steak came back well done. The asparagus had gotten cold. Just not an overall good experience. We were there celebrating an anniversary, needless to say it was a disaster. My fiancée said we will not come back to Shula's again. We will celebrate other occasions at Ruth Chris. The type of service we got we would expect at an Outback Steakhouse, not at a fine establishment such as Shula's. We weren't going to complain, my fiancée was prepared to pay the entire bill, but they did comp him the steak. The manager never came over to apologize to us for our experience. So the overall rating for this dinner experience was poor.
the meal on feb 16 was good overall the halibut was a little overcooked and dry, service is always goods are most meals. We will continue to eat at your restaurant.
We had a reservation for dinner and we were seated within 5 minutes we had outstanding service and the dinners were cooked perfectly we had no complaints and will surely be back. Worth the price.
I have been to your restaurant two times. The first time was a wonderful experience... so enjoyable that I made a reservation to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my husband. I was so excited about returning. Unfortunately my second dining experience was less than fair. We had two waiters, however barely saw either of them. Food was not good... almost like it was what was left over from the special valentine menu. If my valentine visit had been my first dining experience, I definitely would have not returned. I was disappointed.
Always good, but a little disappointment on the Pris fixe meal. Best there is to order a steak
