About Shula's Steak House - Naples
The theme for Shula's Steak House is a virtual museum of the 1972 Miami Dolphins' 17-0 perfect season, the NFL's only unbeaten team. The décor includes pictures and game balls from the '72 season. The menus are hand painted on NFL footballs then personally hand signed by Coach Shula himself.
The restaurant's reputation has been built on serving the "biggest and the best", which includes Premium Black Angus Beef. The menu features generous portions, including a signature 48-ounce porterhouse steak.

Shula's Steak House - Naples Ratings and Reviews
Our server was almost rude, JJ did not make us feel welcomed nor was she warm to us throughout our meal. She was definitely more eager to please the table immediately to our left(they ordered drinks, wine, apps etc.) it took her forever to come get our food order (after we failed to order a beginning drink order-only one drink). The female manager was much more attentive than our own waitress. Perhaps if she smiled at all patrons her service could have been much more appreciated. Food was superb, service was very bad.
Restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived yet the service was slow. Food took a very long time to come out, over an hour for tiny cuts of steak. A couple arrived after us, received their food and left all before our party of 4 received our food. I understand that it is an upscale steakhouse but for the amount of time we waited and lack of service, it was not worth the money. The food was fine but we were not blow away.
Crab cake was not fresh at all, I have had much better before at Shula's, what happened? The filet was really tasty. The truffle fries, $10 is way over priced for steak fries with a little drizzle on them, most of them were left behind. The waiter really pushed the carrot cake for dessert and I wished I had looked at the ingredients before I ordered it. Don't like flake coconut on anything.. who does that? Overall the wine at the bar was the best experience, ambiance and value.
Food was good. Filet and a ribeye. Service was less than optimal this time....last 2 out of 4 times actually. Disappointed that they felt an automatic 20% tip was required on the whole check when my wife ordered the $65 special that included 2 shrimp app, ribeye and a lavacake....guess I missed the fine print on that one. I do not mind paying for good food and good service. Some places are getting a bit presumptuous...season has started :)
Very quiet and romantic, lovely experience. My only complaint is that the menu does not include a square meal. Entrees do not come with sides. It is unhealthy to eat ONLY meat for dinner. Every meal should include at least one vegetable for nutritional purposes. Therefore, every entrée should include AT LEAST one side. Nobody orders steak without at least one side dish. It seems unethical, immoral, and greedy. I believe there should be at least one square meal on the menu. I don't know how the owner sleeps at night knowing that he just charged me $52 for an entrée that lacks adequate nutrition. Aside from that, we LOVED the food and the atmosphere.
My wife and I travel to Naples Fl. twice a year. Both trips we book a dinner at Shula's. The food and service are the reasons we dine here. The exception has been the level of service once you announce a birthday coupon. Since the waiter receives a guaranteed 20% tip, I have noticed that service drastically diminishes. It happened a year ago and I chalked to just an off night. Unfortunately it happened again on this past dining experience. The waiter had to be asked twice for a glass of wine. Asked for lemon for my water, never received, waiter hastily removed bread basket from table. Waiter never asked us for coffee choices.
Obviously, in the future , I will not reveal that I have a coupon till the end. Management should change the automatic tipping system. Tipping is an earned service. Percentage should vary with level of service.
Went there with friends after a meeting. The place was almost empty. Service was OK. Food was OK. Just OK. My medium steak was overcooked, which was mentioned to the waiter, who acknowledged but did nothing. Very expensive for what we had. Service was automatically added in spite that our party did not meet the minimum amount of people to justify it.
First and last time we will go to this place.
We had a reservation for 6 people at 6:45
We arrived at 6:35 and checked in
The hostess said. “Your reservation is 6:45, we will seat you then.
We stood for 10 minuets in the lobby because there were very few seats at the bar and they were full.
Our table was ready but we had to wait, standing instead of being seated and enjoying a glass of wine
Will not go back😡
We looked for Schula's to provide us with a special meal but it did not live up to those expectations. The food was very average. The calamari appetizer was excellent, however, for our entrees we had steaks and they were not up to the standard of our local Longhorn or Outback restaurants - but 3 times the price. We felt constantly rushed with the server being a little off hand and not willing to spend time with us. It felt very much like we were in a process and being pushed along. The entrees came within 2 minutes of our appetizers being cleared away, adding to the feeling of being railroaded through the restaurant to get the next covers in. Conversely, after we had finished our entrees, the dirty dishes were left on our table for about 15 minutes meaning that we didn't get to finish our wine and have post-meal conversations in a pleasant environment. Not somewhere we will be returning to as there are places to get a far better experience for far less money.
