So-So experience. It used to be more lively a place.
We went for nye the only complaint was we were charged an additional $25 per person for the midnight event however the party favors were not New Year’s Eve related and were simply party favors that liquor companies give for distributions. They all said Johnny walker label on them and were not festive. This part of the evening was a waste of time.
The restaurant provides excellent food and service. Great bar too!
Awesome!!!! Great Food. Best steaks ever. Great service as always.
Went with a party of six. We had previously set-up a reservation. Did not need to wait for seating nor was there any delay in service. Staff was outstandingly professional. Providing entrees in a timely manner as well as the main meal. Our group was very satisfied with the meals; After having been shown the various cuts of meats, we each ordered our preferred choice. Ate the whole Porterhouse 48oz which was delicious. For dessert had the Carrot Cake which was one of the best I've ever tasted. Definitely recommend this fine establishment.
Ambience is very nostalgic. Takes one back to a time when the Dolphins knew how to win games, under a proven coach.
I have been coming to Shula's for over 20 years and the food, service, and ambience are always outstanding.
Lost a lot of the grandeur that used to be its calling card
The service was very good, the food is always excellent and the ambience is on the mark. Come before dinner for a drink. Delvis the bartender is wonderful. Cowboy steak best around! Just as good as Prime 112 in my book.
Food was good. service wasn't great. kitchen was slow. we felt forgotten. waiter was no where to be found. still a great meal.
The meat is great. Unfortunately, the chicken was not worth even $5.00. No vegeterian option for those that don't eat meat.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delicious. Was very pleased and will recommend
Terrific meal and ambiance to celebrate a friend’s birthday!
A favorite "special occasion" spot that never disappoints. My family has chosen Shula's for our family celebrations for many, many years. Everything about Shula's is better than other steakhouses in So. Fl.
We were looking for a good steak close to home and remembered Shula's. Had a wonderful anniversary dinner, with great food and great service. I highly recommend Shula's steakhouse. We will be back.
Several tables with big groups, maybe conventioneers? Very loud
I was overdressed. Waiter seemed nervous I expected a little more upscale but was disappointed. Next time...Smith &Wollensky
I wish our waiter wanted to wait on us. The food was out of this world!!! Waited a very very long time to get our second drink and had to ask the bus boy to help us get one. When I tried to complement the food to the waiter, he brushed me off and went to the next table.
I would go again because the food is incredible! Don't skip dessert and get the Apple cobbler... i just dont want that waiter
Water person was inadequate & sloppy. Side waiter did not ask if wanted to take anything home & wrapped up the dishes
The quality of the food is decant the steaks are excellent! I can get better service at Chillis or even Denny's. I have to admit I am shocked this 5 star dinning has such poor waiters and managers. We got to our table and immediately the assistant waiter filled our water glasses. We are on the start to a nice evening. The main waitress takes our order and disappears. No really, she actually disappears, we never saw her again the entire evening. I had to get my own refills of water and soda by walking to the bar, since she never showed up after she took our order. The food arrived by another waiter. Again, our waitress or manager never checked up on us to see how we are doing or if the food was to our liking (A standard practice at fine dining restaurants). You would think another water or a manager would even realize a customer keeps walking to the bar to get drink refills. NOPE!
The waitress arrived from the kitchen with our check and dropped it off without saying a thing. I turned to her and said "Welcome Back, It's nice to see you again." She turned to me and said "have a nice night."
HERE IS THE ISSUE: This restaurant automatically includes an 18% gratuity on the check. THERE IS NO INCENTIVE TO GET GOOD SERVICE! A restaurant like Shula's should always have good service, it is supposed to be a fine dining. ($52 for one steak, $12 for a side) we expect good service! But, think about it, the gratuity is already guaranteed. Why bother actually providing good service? It's not like they own Shula's, what do they care if you come back or not. I also blame the manager, since he allows this type of service to happen right under his nose. If he doesn't realize what's happening, he is negligent. Either way management needs to change.
Shula's needs to rethink the automatic added gratuity idea and either replace or retrain ALL the wait staff at the Miami Lakes Shula's and get new management! This place is a mess!
We go to Shula's quite often, and the experience is always great! I always ask for Dahlia to be our server, and I am never disappointed. She makes it a priority to remember her customers. She knows exactly what I like and remains attentive and pleasant throughout the entire dinner. I am sure many patrons continue to come back to Shula's not only because of the delicious food but because of the extraordinary service.
