Shula's Steak House - Miami Lakes Ratings and Reviews
I could rave about all the great qualities this restaurant offers and I mean I was truly impressed with the service, the courtesies extended to my party, the ambiance, the friendliness of the personnel, the locale and many others; Even so, what topped it all was the incredible quality of the steaks and the food in general. I just do not think anybody else can match it.
With its Southern Plantation State feel, Shula's is very exclusive, intimate, posh and cordial. The layout is very open, with tables far apart from each other. The traditional clean cut atmosphere is exquisite. Servers are very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the various menus. The drinks are exceptional and generous. The beef is one of, if not the best, in Miami. The lobster bisque is to die for. While the Crab Cakes are delicious and perfectly seasoned. Both our NY Strip and Lamb Chops were cooked to perfection, succulent, and just delicious. Would definetly come back to try other dishes.
I've never enjoyed a restaurant more than I did last Saturday! It was quiet, relaxing, the food was EXCELLENT, and let's not even discuss service; SUPERB is still an understatement. Edgar (THE BEST waiter in the WORLD)made our evening so amazing! Please at least once, try their lambchops, the hash browns, their creamed spinach and their chocolate souffle - they are all to die for!
Shula's Steak House is a gem and has been established a long time. The quality is as good as it gets. I would not consider the prices modest, rather it is a place for a special occasion. But that, it is. The meail while so simple is the best quality beef and the sides and desserts are remarkable. The service could not be better in an elegant surrounding. It is a classic. I highly recommend it. We will be back the next special event.
My husband and I dined at Shula's Steak House - Miami Lakes for the first time this week. We have eaten at other Shula's locations so I was expecting the same service and quality of food that we've had before. We were certainly not disappointed. The food was excellent and the view of the golf course was beautiful. Our servers were very friendly and were very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great steak.
I love the relaxed feel of dining in the bar area. It's a great place for small groups or an intimate dinner with your honey. The salad wedge, filet mignon and double baked potato were all very good. Although the steak was a bit under cooked it was quickly remedied. Very good wine and overall bar selection make this a great neighborhood restaurant for good conversation and good food with friends and family. The bar manager, Delvis, is awesome!
Good food but extremely expensive. Lobster mash potatoes had no lobster in it, only the lobster bisque soup sauce poured over it. A little strong and redundant when we each had a lobster bisque soup before the meal. Not mentioned by the server before hand. Dessert also disappointing. But the steak was amazing.
We dined at Shula's to celebrate our and our friends' anniversaries. The food was delecious and the service outstanding. My husband ordered the 12 oz. filet mignon and it was the best that he's ever had. I ordered crab cakes, which were good, but I would definitely order a filet the next time. Our one complaint - we were seated in the bar area and it was very noisy (and this was a Wednesday night - not a weekend night). Hard for the four of us to have a conversation. This was our first time there, so we did not know to ask to be seated away from the bar. When we go back, we will ask to be seated in the dining room as far away from the bar as possible.
It was Valentine's day. The harp player was the best part of the dinner. I had the S. Michelle Syrah wine it was amazing but over priced. $15 a glass when the same bottle is $10 at Total Wine. The BBQ shrimp was amazing!!! Bacon wrapped, stuffed with basil and very fresh. I think I rather go for sea food than steak. The shrimp made my heart smile. My steak was not good. I had to add salt. My fiance also order a steak and it was not seasoned well. It was cooked at the right temperature but the flavor was not there.
Honestly, for the same price I would have gone to Capital Grille. For all the hype I expected amazing food and was let down.
Shula's was everything one would expect from the winningest coach of all time. Everything was done with excellence.
They actually got our order mixed up somehow, and brought me the wrong steak, but it was resolved only three minutes later, and my porterhouse was the best I've ever had anywhere.
They also gave me my birthday entree FREE...but you have to sign up as a member before hand to get this, and show them the email they send you.
We were also delighted that, before dinner, we had a drink at the bar. Her wine and my bourbon came to a TOTAL of $13! Where does that happen at a first class restaurant?
Overall... Thumbs up!
We went to the one on Miami Lakes Drive. The two very experienced "home cooks", a century of cooking said it was not as nice as the restaurant we went to the night before. The crab cakes had too much cracker meal, it was initially too cold, the servers were not as professional as the other restaurant. So yes we were shocked. We were celebrating my doctoral graduation.((drk(ltcK))
We were celebrating his Bday and rec'd this coupon thru the email. Since we live in Broward we could choose Shulas in Ft Laud or the one in Miami Lakes. What a great choice! From the reception to the staff everything was great. Attention to detail and the food/dessert, WOW! Excellent! We will return and recommend to all. Congrats and have a Happy New year. As they say u get what u paid for and it was worth times 2!
