The steaks and seafood were excellent and a good value. I think the alcoholic beverages were a little overpriced.
The service was horrible. They took for ever to get us our food and it wasn’t even busy. They got our order wrong and the waitress kept telling us the manager was going to come but never did. The bill was wrong and it took forever to get it figured out. Finally, the manager came and acted like he didn’t know what was going on. They did Comp us on 2 drinks and the steak they couldn’t get right. However, that was the least of the problems. Just horrible service and the food was pretty bad as well. How is this place still in business?!

Took an hour before we received bread at our table. Then 30 minutes after that to get our food. Our reservations were for 8:30 we got our desert around 10:30 and it was burnt an inedible. Do not get the lava cake. Better yet just don’t go.
Parking was horrible. I was told by the valet that they could not take my vehicle because they had to many vehicle and that I should use self park. When I arrived a self park...the gate was locked because it was full. I ended up parking in another parking facility and instead of paying $15, I was out of $28.
They need a better system....there was so much congestion as you had hotel guess trying to park as well as patrons for the restaurant. I will never go there again.
Our order was taken in no time, but the waiter never bother coming back until check time. I asked two different servers for steak sauce to no avail until the host finally got it for me. I ordered a sauce on my steak but didn't get it, so I needed the steak sauce.
Busy Valentine's night - nothing special stuck out about the meal. In a crowded market for steak houses needs to deliver something different
We went there for V-day. Reservation was for 7:15pm. Took about 15 minutes to be seated. Restaurant did not appear to be too busy. There was only 2 serves in the area I sat in. Our server was very soft voiced and could barely hear him in a relatively quiet environment. Bread came to the table, but no plates. It took about 15 minutes for me to ask another worker for 2 plates. Bread was cold by the time I was able to eat it and could not spread the cold butter. Soup arrived and it was luke warm. Food arrived as we were tasting the soup. Ordered steak, but was given no knife. I waiting a few minutes, but no one delivered a knife to cut our steaks. I had to use the butter knife that was left over from the bread. Server came to see how things were when we were done and had given up. I didn't bother complaining because I didn't want to ruin the night any more. Paid and left. No one smiled or said thank you or goodbye. First and most likely last time there.
Service wasn’t the best. Seams like a lot of new trainees Lobster tail was luke warm as well as the butter. Asparagus were just cold. Disappointing valentine dinner !!
Always a great experience at Shula's! Our server was entertaining and provided the best customer service! The food as usual was outstanding! Can't wait to come back for more!
We Had Milan as a server and he was Excellent as always. The food was excellent as always also.
Great food, exceptional service!
Very good tasting food except for the pudding that came with my prime rib. Was expecting something kind of sweet. It was not. Main thing I did not like about Shula's was that everything was a'lacart. But, it is a Chicago restaurant.
Excellent burger and steak sandwich for lunch! Will come back again soon.
We did not like the waiter. No matter where he is from: Iran, Iraq, North Pole, just say something. He made us feel uneasy. Food was 👍 great.
Service was terrible. Server was very very bad, busser kept banging and crashing dishes right against my back while I was eating, host was the only decent service. Wife had mixed grill it was excellent I had prime rib taste was good but was very tuff. No desert was offered again bad service.
I was very embarrassed, I’ve been dinning at Shula’s at Christmas time over 10 years. This year I invited guest & it took over an hour to get the food. When the food came out it was cold but we were so hungry we did not say anything. My guest immediately had their food wrapped without touching the meal.
Overall the dinning service experience has changed. Even the host was not as pleasant as years past.
We were greeted by a friendly hostess right away. Dining room is nicely appointed. Temperature was comfortable as well. I started with lobster bisque which was quite good. The bread however was a little too yeasty. The meal went downhill from there though. I ordered a combo filet mignon and crab cakes. It took a really long time which I wouldn’t have minded so much if the food would have been hot, but it was barely room temperature. I sent the crab cakes back since they were bland and dry and had them replaced with sea scallops. That at least came out hot. The service was slow and unfortunately our server was not very attentive. She was nice but she never even came to check how our meal was after we were served. My husbands ribeye was just ok. So $200 later I was very underwhelmed. The portion of my meal was really small .... had it been delicious that would have been fine but I was very disappointed. I won’t be returning. Was a poor value at best

Enjoyed the service and quality of the food at Shula's Restaurant. My wife had the scallops which were delicious and cooked the way she enjoys. My filet was cooked to perfection and just melted in y mouth. Would definitely eat there again in the future during a downtown Chicago visit.
The finest service and steak restaurant with consistency. We have dined at this and other Shula's restaurant in Itasca IL and Disney World Florida and we are never disappointed. The Chicago Shula's has quality employees who are attentive, timely and dedicated to their patrons comfort. Rob was our waiter and his supporting servers did an outstanding job. The Filet and New York Strip steaks were about the finest that one could anticipate. The portions are generous and delicious. We will return to this restaurant soon.

Very disappointed what happened to service and quality?
Among a group of 12 we had excellent and timely service. We ordered the hot/cold sea food appetizers which were a big hit. We had dinners of a mostly 8 & 12 oz fillets all excellent and fish which the lady said was very good. A couple of the guys had the porter house who did say that they were not as flavorful as they expected. The sides were very good as well. Over all a very good experience and will return once again in the future with guests.
Just like the man who owns the chain, always top notch. Hotel staff was great as well.
Average food and service. Not up to typical high end steakhouse expectation.
Over cooked the food. But they took the cost off of the bill.

Food was excellent but the service staffing appeared inadequate leading to unnecessary delays, not in keeping with the exorbitant prices. Would be nice to get smaller sides to prevent waste.
I tried to book this reservation on open table from my phone while staying at the Sheraton Grand Chicago, but had difficulty. Was finally able to do so through Shula's website which had the open table link, but did not get points for the dinner. Even though we had dinner at Shula's on Wednesday October 2nd 2019 at 7 pm as scheduled, the reservation is still showing on my phone's open table app as an upcoming reservation. Hoping to get rewarded with points for it & resolve this issue. Thanks
Great location, Nice room, Could have a conversation without raising your voice. Only negative was that the steak was not cook even close to the correct temp and had to be sent back. All in all a nice dinner.
Food and service were great and atmosphere was nice. Prices were what is expected for a nice steak place in a big city
Best steak I have had in a while. It was not very busy when we were there. We had a quiet table in the corner. Service was excellent. Would go again if we are in town.
