Maybe the Valentine's crowd was too much for them to handle?

$140 before tip for dinner with my date, and I've had better at Outback!

The waiter was nice, but the service was poor and inattentive. The appetizer was decent, the salad was pedestrian and could have been from a pre-made salad kit. The mashed potatoes were good, but the grilled asparagus was kind of sad. The steaks were the major disappointment. My date ordered the Filet and it was severely overcooked and dry with almost no pink. My New York was just ok and without much flavor at all. It you want to spend some money on a steak dinner, go to Fleming's or Ruth's Chris. I've been to both on multiple occasions and they are on an entirely different level than this place.

Wanted to like it, but not the quality expected for the price.

We decided to try Shula's after I was given a gift card. Otherwise it's not likely we would have ever made the decision to go there, but I'm glad we did. It's a great place to go for dinner based on our experience. I enjoy a good New York steak, but they are so hard to find, they are so often not as tender as I like. The server told me I wouldn't be disappointed and he was right - it was excellent. The baked potato was hot and fresh, the snow peas were good also, as was the glass of wine I ordered. My wife enjoyed her burger and my son loved the filet. The service was excellent too. I was dubious going in but we are already talking about going back. I highly recommend it based on our initial experience.

The evening was great, the food was wonderful and our server was friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was that the temperature in the restaurant was cold

Not super impressed-Shula's is supposed to be top notch. I've seen specials on it and we actually ate at one at the Miami airport. I didn't know they had one in West Valley City so we decided to try it. The steaks were not seasoned well at all. They actually cooked my wife's steak wrong and we had to send it back-and we never send food back. It took another 25 minutes to get it back. The waiter was good and they did comp us a free dessert. I don't think I will go back-a good steakhouse I would rather go to Ruth's Chris

Restaurant is located in a hotel and food tasted like bad room service - dry chicken that was supposed to be brined and undercooked Brussel sprouts that were supposed to be crispy. From an ambiance perspective, the write up mentions large flat screen TV experience but this was only two moderate size TV's over the bar - one of which wasn't even turned to sports and took 3 asks before someone took time to change it to a playoff game.

Excellent steaks, cooked perfectly. Enjoyed a good business dinner here. Definitely a man's restaurant as it was full of men and NCAA championship basketball teams. The menu had offerings for everyone and the food was very good.

Good and ambiance is awesome! Very slow food service though. Love this place but it is so slow and can put you behind schedule for business meetings.

We went at a busy time and even though we had a reservation we had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated however, the server was nice, the food was delicious, and the style and feel of the place is very comfortable. We enjoyed it.

Was there for Valentine's day last year. Wait was long even with a reservation, but worth it. It was a good menu, service was great. Much better than expected for the middle of West Valley.

Well I went on Valentine's Day so it was packed. I had a reservation though so that was good. Our waiter was terrible but the manager made up for it. That's why I gave the three stars for service. Took 2 hours and 15 minutes for the meal. 20 minutes to get our drink order, another hour to get our appetizer, then another hour ish before we were done with the main course. Like I said the manager, Raymond, made up for it. He checked on us more than our server did and because everything took so long he knocked 50% off the bill and gave us some desserts for the road.

We went for Valentine's Day, understood it was going to be busy. Food was excellent service was horrible. Took 30+ minutes for drinks, well over an hour after drinks arrived for food. Our waiter only delivered our drinks and bill, other wait staff delivered our salads, meals and desserts. I really enjoyed our food but I really doubt I will be going back.

Expected better food and superior customer service for $94. Waited 30 mins for a beverage, had to cut my steak with a butter knife, waited another 25 mins for the check. I wish I could get refunded.
