Forget tacos, celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Steak!

Great for a special occasion. The steaks are always melt in your mouth good. Be sure to ask for the (sourdough) bread.
Great experience. Excellent food!
Great service. Loved the wine room. Thank you for making my Anniversary so special.
Not recommended on the weekend as the restaurant is in a business hotel, so it was very quiet on the Friday night we visited. I had the scallops, which were dry and salty. My son was pleased with his burger. Our server was attentive and took an interest in our visit to Salt Lake City for three days of skiing at Snowbird.
Very good service, good food and value for an upscale establishment. One con was the inability to use a visa gift card for payment, paid with debit and still have the gift card.....
Went to Shula’s with my parents who came to visit from out of state. Also had our 2 year old daughter with us. There were other kids as well so it didn’t feel as awkward as I initially thought it would. Our server/hostess was amazing! Food was great. Will be coming back soon!
Maybe the Valentine's crowd was too much for them to handle?
$140 before tip for dinner with my date, and I've had better at Outback!
The waiter was nice, but the service was poor and inattentive. The appetizer was decent, the salad was pedestrian and could have been from a pre-made salad kit. The mashed potatoes were good, but the grilled asparagus was kind of sad. The steaks were the major disappointment. My date ordered the Filet and it was severely overcooked and dry with almost no pink. My New York was just ok and without much flavor at all. It you want to spend some money on a steak dinner, go to Fleming's or Ruth's Chris. I've been to both on multiple occasions and they are on an entirely different level than this place.
Wanted to like it, but not the quality expected for the price.
We decided to try Shula's after I was given a gift card. Otherwise it's not likely we would have ever made the decision to go there, but I'm glad we did. It's a great place to go for dinner based on our experience. I enjoy a good New York steak, but they are so hard to find, they are so often not as tender as I like. The server told me I wouldn't be disappointed and he was right - it was excellent. The baked potato was hot and fresh, the snow peas were good also, as was the glass of wine I ordered. My wife enjoyed her burger and my son loved the filet. The service was excellent too. I was dubious going in but we are already talking about going back. I highly recommend it based on our initial experience.
The evening was great, the food was wonderful and our server was friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was that the temperature in the restaurant was cold
Service was fantastic. Great location with easy freeway access.
Great place! Steak was cooked perfect! Yummy food, great service and very relaxed quiet atmosphere.
It was amazing in every way. We loved it and highly recommend.
Food was great and service was exceptional. Waiter greeted us by name, which was a nice touch.
Not super impressed-Shula's is supposed to be top notch. I've seen specials on it and we actually ate at one at the Miami airport. I didn't know they had one in West Valley City so we decided to try it. The steaks were not seasoned well at all. They actually cooked my wife's steak wrong and we had to send it back-and we never send food back. It took another 25 minutes to get it back. The waiter was good and they did comp us a free dessert. I don't think I will go back-a good steakhouse I would rather go to Ruth's Chris
Restaurant is located in a hotel and food tasted like bad room service - dry chicken that was supposed to be brined and undercooked Brussel sprouts that were supposed to be crispy. From an ambiance perspective, the write up mentions large flat screen TV experience but this was only two moderate size TV's over the bar - one of which wasn't even turned to sports and took 3 asks before someone took time to change it to a playoff game.
Birthday celebration. Loved it
Excellent steaks, cooked perfectly. Enjoyed a good business dinner here. Definitely a man's restaurant as it was full of men and NCAA championship basketball teams. The menu had offerings for everyone and the food was very good.
Good and ambiance is awesome! Very slow food service though. Love this place but it is so slow and can put you behind schedule for business meetings.
Steak was AMAZING! A little bit on the pricy side, but everything else was wOrth doing again. We will be back.
Have eaten at other Shula's. This one was ok. A little sub par compared to other locations.
We went at a busy time and even though we had a reservation we had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated however, the server was nice, the food was delicious, and the style and feel of the place is very comfortable. We enjoyed it.
Was there for Valentine's day last year. Wait was long even with a reservation, but worth it. It was a good menu, service was great. Much better than expected for the middle of West Valley.
Well I went on Valentine's Day so it was packed. I had a reservation though so that was good. Our waiter was terrible but the manager made up for it. That's why I gave the three stars for service. Took 2 hours and 15 minutes for the meal. 20 minutes to get our drink order, another hour to get our appetizer, then another hour ish before we were done with the main course. Like I said the manager, Raymond, made up for it. He checked on us more than our server did and because everything took so long he knocked 50% off the bill and gave us some desserts for the road.
We went for Valentine's Day, understood it was going to be busy. Food was excellent service was horrible. Took 30+ minutes for drinks, well over an hour after drinks arrived for food. Our waiter only delivered our drinks and bill, other wait staff delivered our salads, meals and desserts. I really enjoyed our food but I really doubt I will be going back.
Expected better food and superior customer service for $94. Waited 30 mins for a beverage, had to cut my steak with a butter knife, waited another 25 mins for the check. I wish I could get refunded.
I won't be coming here again. We went for Valentines Day. Although the food was good, the service was terrible. We ordered entrees at 7:00, the food didn't come out until 8:30. I'm pretty tolerable if the waiter would have cared even a little, but he didn't. He would disappear for long periods of time. When we finally asked him to check on our order, he said 'As you can see we have a full house tonight.' Umm, ok. Maybe an apology? We constantly had to ask him for more drinks, as he never checked on us. The table next to us finally got up and walked out after being ignored for 30 minutes.
We love to come to Shula's early on special occasions because it has a great quiet atmosphere and wonderful food. The Valentines filet mignon steaks we had .. were perfect. I also like football, but its not in your face as a sports bar for those that just tolerate the sport ..like my wife .. Thanks again for a wonderful night!
My most recent visit to Shula's was very disappointing. I ordered Salmon and it was dry. The Brussels Sprouts were also dry and chewy. The mashed potatoes were cold.
The service was great. But overall disappointed in the food.
The 8 Oz filet was horrible. It cut and ate more like a pot roast even though it was cooked to medium rare.
We were seated upon arrival to our table that was set as Reserved. Service was over the top, food was very good.
The steaks are always excellent and rhe staff is a lot of fun!
Great atmosphere, great food! Overall good time! Really enjoyed ourselves ;-)
The steak was very good, but the service was not good at all it sucked, the hostess, waited on us more than are waiter, he was busy in the wine room, I understand a big party, but because of the slow, terrible service, we will not be going back, good luck coach
Overbooked when we were there. Good food but steaks are overpriced.
Always a great place to eat The food is great the service is good is a great place to take customers and always good with a large group .
We were there and it took 2 hours to get our food I've been there 4 times service has been great until this experience we will not be recommending Shula's 2 anymore friends
The server and other staff were very professional and excellent. The food was not very good at any price. My wife could not even cut through her steak with a heavy duty steak knife. There was gristle through out the steak. The server was very apologetic and offered to cook another steak. By the time the other steak had arrived, I had finished my food and we had been waiting for some time for her to get her food. It was not a very memorable evening. Another restaurant person stopped by and asked us about our experience. He said that they had changed their meat purveyor and had been having problems with the quality of their product and again apologized for our dinner experience.
Great service, good size NY Strip but lacked flavor. Bone in ribeye very small for the price. Overall not worth the prices.
Steak was great but not nearly as fantastic as Ruth's Chris. Sides were just okay (slightly undercooked asparagus and luke-warm smashed potatoes). We had a gift card otherwise we'd rather spend the money at Ruth's Chris.
