Shula's 347 Grill - The Westin Lake Mary Ratings and Reviews
Went to Shula's 347 for my 55th birthday with my wife. Our server Rachel took excellent care of us and left us wanting for nothing. We have been here a number of times and each has been a great dining experience. If you are in search of high end dining in a casual atmosphere then Shula's 347 is it.
I brought My mother, my father to Shulas for Mother's Day, ambiance was great, we were greeted and seated rapidly. Server was polite. And my mother was wished, multiple time which was all great. Flow of the meal was well timed, appetizers were delish, then came the entrees. My father ordered the prime rib medium and it can out undercooked (rare) and if it were boiled no sear marks along the outside. Which we returned. The management came quickly to fix the problem. And was friendly. The most important meal thought my mothers 14 oz nystrip also ordered medium also came out rare, was sent back and upon return was medium rare with an even sear across like the threw it in the fryer for 20 sec so not to burn on the charbroiler, I've cooked and worked in restaurants for 15 years. The manager apologized and took off my mothers meal which was appreciate. And the rest of the meal and desert was great just kinda ruined the meal by not being able to receive a 45$ per person meal cook correct.
We've eaten at Shula's 347 Grill a number of times in the past. We've always been pleased and this time was no exception. We enjoyed a multi-course Mother's Day special menu. My wife enjoyed some new dishes that she's always found interesting, but had never tasted. For an appetizer, she gave 'chicken & waffles' a try (something she always felt would be too heavy and lacking in taste) -- but if it was on the Shula's menu, she thought it might just hit the spot. Not only was it very tasty -- it was huge. For an appitizer, it knocked her off her feet. I had an outstanding bread bowl of gumbo (large in flavor). Entrees were equally impressive, as were the choices of desserts from the numerous offerings on the dessert bar. The complimentary Mother's Day mamosa was nice added touch. The wait staff was outstanding, and our server was delightful. She helped sell what Shula's 347 is attempting to provide, in addition to outstanding food and ambiance: great customer service.
Shula's was overpriced and nothing special. My steak was tough although the flavor was good. A ribeye should melt in your mouth ...at least they do when I prepare them at home. The crab cake was really good buy way overpriced at $15 for two tiny crab cakes!
Excellent service and the food was very well prepared. We had the NY Strip and a Filet, both prepared to our liking. The only item that was not great were the mushrooms, the taste was like the gas that it was cooked in, won't be getting those again.
But beyond that even desert was presented beautiful and it was great! Glad to have a restaurant nearby that is top notch!
My sister and I had an out of town guest that we wanted to take to a special dinner. The waiter was great and the service was good. However, the steaks were overcooked and we had to send 2 of the 3 steaks back (I should have sent mine back also as it was overcooked and dry but I just ate it instead). The manager was very accommodating and apologetic and comped us desserts. However, for the prices of the entrees and drinks, we expected a pleasant, no problem evening. Having to complain about the food ruins an enjoyable dinner.
The Mahi special, my filet, and desserts were excellent in terms of quality and taste. The only issue was with the grilled mushrooms. You could taste the flavor of the gas used to cook them. We did not complain because they had taken a dessert off the bill for our anniversary along with a champagne toast. We do enjoy the food and is why we keep coming back. We just wish there was a better time to dine in relative quiet that was within the typical dinner times.
We have been to Shulas many times and love it there. The food is very good but not outragously priced. The service is excellent and the wine list is very good.
Especially liked the fact that they all wrote on a card for my Mother-in-laws birthday that we were celebrate.
THANKS AGAIN SHULAS TEAM!
We were excited, of course, to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. It was important to have a fine meal somewhere special. But we are not the type of people to go for extreme opulence.
Shula's, at lunch, is simply perfect. It is quite elegant and the food is FANTASTIC. But there is just enough 'atmosphere'.
The staff is simply stupendous; we felt as though there was no one else in the place and we were very important to server.
Shula's 347 in Lake Mary is always a good go to restaurant and we've been back several times, however this time was a special birthday celebration and we were hoping for something more from the service. We made it clear that we did not want to rush and we were assured that we'd be well taken care of. Unfortunately something was lost in the translation and it seemed as though the server wanted to do a speed dinner. Main course shows up before the appetizers were finished, then we were pressed to order desert before we were finished with the main course. Hope this was just a bad night for the server but..............
Shula's 347 is a remarkable place to dine. I have eaten there a few times when in Lake Mary for business. The service is impeccable, the food quality and preparation are second to none. I had the New York strip with grilled asparagus and a potato. The steak was cooked to perfection and the asparagus was crisp and delicious. For dessert I had their famous carrot cake which was chilled and delicious. An absolutely perfect meal. And the next day I received a call from Shula's to be sure that I had enjoyed my experience. Top notch. I can't wait until my next trip so that I can enjoy it all over again.
Took my family there for son's birthday. Service was good. Had a problem with quality of cowboy cut ribeye steak. Advised server and he promptly involved Manager Rebecca who agreed and promptly apologized and replaced steak. We could not have been more pleased with the manner in which it was handled. I would be proud for Rebecca to represent my service organization as she represented Shulas Grill to the highest of management quality and customer satisfaction. We have been to this Shulas Grill quite a few times and will continue to return.
I have been to Shula's 347 grill several times and I can unequivocally say I have never had one bad bite. The service and hospitality are outstanding. Finally even though there is a big name restaurant next door I would never even think of going there. Can't wait till my next visit.
This was my 2nd time here and, as expected, the food and service was perfect. The wait staff is attentive without bugging me too often and I like that. The food was fantastic and served quickly. What ruined our Valentine's Day dinner though was a group of obnoxiously loud diners that belonged at a corner rib shack instead of a place like Shula's.
We have dined at Shula's 357 Grill many times and have never had a bad experience. The Sweet Chili Chicken and BBQ Bacon wrapped Shrimp are our favorite appetizers and did not disappoint on this occasion. The kitchen did make a slight mistake with our entrees, although the dishes that appeared in their place were excellent, and we would have been perfectly happy with them. Shula's. however, had a different idea, and recooked both meals which we took home in to-go bags and enjoyed the following day. Our server (Lorilyn) was excellent, and as always, the restaurant followed up the next day with a phone call to make sure we were completely satisfied. Which we most definitely were.
Have dined at Shula's 347 - Lake Mary three times, each time it has progressively gotten worse. I'm sorry to say, this visit was my last. Steak was okay, undercooked and not blackened, as I asked. Baked potato was luke-warm, at best. Asparagus was overcooked and cold. Side Caesar was what you would expect from any chain restaurant, i.e. no creativity (presentation), no differentiation. Crab cakes, so I was told by my wife, were very good. Service was good. Our server worked hard and was friendly.
Overall, the food is not worth the price. I could have ordered a better steak dinner in any large-chain restaurant for 40% less. Very disappointed. Someone called the day after to 'follow-up' on my experience, but I said 'fine' and ended the conversation. Their lack of enthusiasm on the phone told me my honest critique would be meaningless for both of us. Shula's 347 (Lake Mary) has the potential to be a great restaurant, but it's not.
From the greeting to the goodbye Shula's 347 makes one feel welcome and valued even after many visits. Boasting a well-trained staff, superior quality ingredients and execution of the final product what else could one ask for? Our server was Cam on this visit. Excellent service!
My wife and I have never been disappointed and plan to visit for many years to come.
