Celebrate Mom at Shula's!
Sunday, May 13, 2018
El lugar es muy agradable y el servicio también pero la comida dejó mucho que desear.
Marissa was our server and excellent! Very personable and not too intrusive. It was Easter brunch so not sure if they always have brunch but it was delicious! Also the managers came by the table and I always think that is a nice touch. Only drawback was they included one glass of Mamosa but charge for bloody Mary's or more mimosas. for that price it should have been included Otherwise plentiful and delicious
This was my first breakfast, which unfortunately , I did not find to be very special. Dinner has always been first rate, so my expectations were for a great breakfast. Sadly no. HIGHLY recommend for dinner, but skip breakfast.
Amazing service! The best filet I've had in a while. Cooked my medium rare perfectly! I was so surprised!
Shula's is an excellent restaurant. The food is really good and the service is always impeccable. The full dining experience is great but they also have a wonderful happy hour with food and drinks at very affordable prices. They are one of my "go to" places to eat and drink.
Always a great place to eat. Stakes are GREAT, Crab Cake appetizer is assume! It is both mine and my wife's favorite spot when we go out to dinner!
Steaks were very good , the pork osso buco was tasty but swimming in a layer of fat , poor presentation . Food prices were a tad high but liquor prices were very high .
This place will be a regular for me and my Bride! love this place
I absolutely love this place. The food is always delicious and service is top notch. I would definitely recommend!
Large parties just standing around talking in the main dining room should be asked to please go into their private dining room more quickly.
The place is way too loud for a romantic dinner. If you like it noisy where you have difficulty carrying on a conversation this is the place. But so is the Waffle House, Cracker Barrel and a lot of other places.
Steak was cooked perfect.
We dined at Shula's on a Saturday for lunch, and to be honest my first problem was with Open Table, which claimed no reservations were available between noon and 2:00, so we took an 11:30 slot. When I arrived, they seemed very unprepared. The outside door was locked, and the hostess while nice, had to be told we needed a waiter after sitting about 10 minutes. Sam (our waiter) was nice, but seemed overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was virtually empty. The bar area remained unmanned, until Brigitte, the manager showed up to pour one beer.
We eventually placed our orders, and proceeded to wait 45 minutes for the food, even though we appeared to be the only patrons.
The food finally arrived, and was good. The meat was cooked to order, and the food seemed fresh.
Brigitte showed up to apologize, and took two meals off the check. She seemed quite flustered during our time there, and told us Sam was normally a breakfast waiter trying to work up to lunch. Both of them were nice enough, but neither had the training to be working an empty restaurant.
We have been to this place on several occasions, and the service was always good. This time it was truly bad, and I don't think we will be back. Way to many other well run stores nearby to waste time with what appeared to be amateurs running the place.
Just telling it like it was. An hour and a half for lunch is unacceptable.
Excellent food, excellent service, great value considering amount of food and quality. First time but will be back again
Shulas is a good place to go for special occasions or happy hour. Their steaks are consistently good. Service is very good as well.
We went for brunch and it was great. The Bloody Mary bar was good and the service was outstanding. The food was really good too. It was not too crowded, but had a steady crowd. Nice spot for a local to have brunch with or without children.
My date and I both really enjoyed it. We both had the Filet Mignon and it was like butter. Unlike some other steak houses, two sides are included in the price of the steak making Shula's more reasonablely priced for the same high-quality steaks. The dinning area is nice and the booth seats are comfortable. The staff is friendly and quick. We got there early so there was no noise but even as the place filled up, it remained fairly quiet. They take reservations and I recommend you make one if you don't plan on getting there early. By the time we left, the place was full - that was a Saturday night so it may be different other nights. They also have a bar area if you're just looking for appitizers and drinks. We heard the offer a good Sunday buffet that's about $12 per person but you have to call the morning of because some Sundays they don't do it. Overall we really enjoyed it. For two people, no alcoholic drinks and no desserts, our check with tip came to $97 - but then we both ordered one of the most expensive items on the menu. They have less expensive options available.
Wonderful dinner. Filets were amazing. Tender- juicy - wow! The salmon was very tasty too.
This is my second visit to this location hosting a client lunch for 6. Everyone enjoyed their rather substantial portions. Our server was very attentive re-filling our beverages before hitting bottom. A predictably good experience. I will be back next time in the area.
The server and bartender were great and fun to talk to. Food was really good, definitely will come back.
Best burgers, anywhere, hands down. Great service. A fave place to return. Always enjoy dinner there.
I waited for over an hour for my food when it finally arived my steak was way over cooked and veggies were cold . Over all a very disappointing night .
MUCH TOO NOISY! SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT SEPARATING THE NOISY LOUD BAR FROM THE RESTAURANT SECTION! SERVICE WAS GREAT !!!!!!
Drove 40 minutes just to try this Shula's 34x7. From the Pa area in Daytona for vacation. Sadly our location has been closed. The wait staff was excellent, attentive and conversational. It's an interesting thing this location attached to the Westin hotel but the shared bathroom was clean, nice and well attended.
Great tasting food. Presentation pleasing to the eye. Impeccable service.
Very attentive staff! They make you feel special and go the extra mile for special occasions.
I've had lunch here many times. This is a great place for business lunches or lunch with friends. Great menu, the food is always good and so is the service. Great salads and a variety of options for main courses from light fare to heavier meals. Haven't had dinner here yet, but I would guess it's great based on the lunches I've had.
Shula's knows steaks! Our filets were perfect. A nice surprise was a wide variety of vegetable choices. Grilled asparagus was perfect and served with a side of holandaise sauce. Fresh corn with bacon was another good choice. The restaurant was busy when we arrived so service was slower than usual. The special birthday dessert was a perfect ending to a delicious meal.
This Shula's is located in the Westin Hotel where we always stay. The bar is located within the restaurant and separated only by a wine storage wall. When there is an activity or event taking place at the hotel, the bar is so noisy that you cannot even hear the person you are having dinner with.
This is our favorite restaurant in Sanford / Lake Mary area. The food is fantastic and the service is relaxed, professional, and perfect.
Great dining, my wife and I had a great experience.
Great restaurant- mimosa bar is awesome and chocolate chip brownie dessert is amazing!
They closed at 11:00pm and they promptly told the patrons at the bar and myself, they were closed. Felt rushed the entire night and will not go again. Been there before and the food was great, but something has obviously changed with he service.
Our evening at Shula's made for a great birthday dinner celebration. Our waiter was friendly and the service was great. We followed our waiter's menu suggestions and we were not disappointed. Our meal was delicious. We look forward to our next visit.
Maybe New Years Day was the problem, but the service, ambiance and food were at best fair,
not what you would expect for a Shula's 347.
Enjoyed dining with my wife for a special out of town meal. In for the Citrus Bowl and wanted a special treet before our victory over Louisville. GO TIGERS!
My food was barely warm - aspargus, risoto. Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly, but barely warm when it arrived at the table.
Logan was a superb waiter...
The food was excellent. But I'm sorry to say that the reason we went was for the 48oz porterhouse that we were told was not available at a 347 location. And also we could not get spinach for a side even though it was on the menu for other entries. Also it was very cold in the location and when we mentioned it to our server he said that was set by the hotel and could not do anything about it. This was a disappointment because we expected so much and the food was really great. It's just that the negatives were a big distraction giving that they seemed very fixable by staring on the web that certain locations did not have the full menu and allowing more choices for sides.
Wife ordered "Signature Entrees" N.Y. Strip. It was half meat and half gristle. Shared with server she said "sorry, I can take it back and see if they can find a tender one." Really? Very disappointing for a Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, this is the one you will always remember when someone mentions Shula's. As we were leaving we noticed a McDonald's on the corner. Humm!
Went for Christmas day. All went great, the only complaint is that the brussel sprout were like eating wood. They weren't soft enough and over browned. Employees very cordial and personable. The place is designed to where the regular dining is subject to a rather loud happy-hour crowd, the acoustics are terrible. The interior design was a bit stark, no warmth, it was more industrial than needs be to attract a social atmosphere.
However, worth the experience and would return for the service alone. The steaks were done to what level of cooking was ordered (rare (no pun) now-a-days)
Hotel was blah, no personality at all.
