Shula's 347 Grill - The Westin Lake Mary Ratings and Reviews
The food was excellent. But I'm sorry to say that the reason we went was for the 48oz porterhouse that we were told was not available at a 347 location. And also we could not get spinach for a side even though it was on the menu for other entries. Also it was very cold in the location and when we mentioned it to our server he said that was set by the hotel and could not do anything about it. This was a disappointment because we expected so much and the food was really great. It's just that the negatives were a big distraction giving that they seemed very fixable by staring on the web that certain locations did not have the full menu and allowing more choices for sides.
Wife ordered "Signature Entrees" N.Y. Strip. It was half meat and half gristle. Shared with server she said "sorry, I can take it back and see if they can find a tender one." Really? Very disappointing for a Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, this is the one you will always remember when someone mentions Shula's. As we were leaving we noticed a McDonald's on the corner. Humm!
Went for Christmas day. All went great, the only complaint is that the brussel sprout were like eating wood. They weren't soft enough and over browned. Employees very cordial and personable. The place is designed to where the regular dining is subject to a rather loud happy-hour crowd, the acoustics are terrible. The interior design was a bit stark, no warmth, it was more industrial than needs be to attract a social atmosphere.
However, worth the experience and would return for the service alone. The steaks were done to what level of cooking was ordered (rare (no pun) now-a-days)
Hotel was blah, no personality at all.
One Thanksgiving dinner looked like a Cracker Barrel dinner, tasty enough, but not for $30. Wife had undercooked Brussels sprouts wrapped in bacon but bacon fat was all over the taste of the sweet potatoes on plate. Sent back and was returned at end of meal. High ceilings, cafe, feel but stark décor, hard seats, noisy, no view, will not go back. We sat in booth into which hostess seated a screaming child! really? Three female employees chatted around the hostess station; staff appeared to know little about fine dining.
It was good food but it would have been better if u got a little more for your money the quality was there but not the quantity like maybe rolls or bread offered and salad combinations along with main course we got mushroom ravioli and that was it no bread no salad don't get me wrong quality was great but for the price 5 ravioli no bread no salad just that for a bit pricey need to do more quantity. It was great that it was open on thanksgiving but it would have been better if more was offered for the price more homey feeling.
My husband and I went to Shula's 347 for his birthday Sunday night. We were blown away by the quality of service (Kaitlyn was amazing and knowledgeable), atmosphere (it was quiet even though there were many others dinning) and food (BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp app wow). Our server even brought us a birthday desert with a card signed by the staff, a cherry on top to a perfect night. HIGHLY recommend. A 5 star restaurant without spending what you would imagine for a 5 star experience.
Well..we ordered the $38 Malbec on the wine menu, and it was excellent!! Except for the fact it was $58 on our bill🤔. The ribeye was good, not amazing. Loved the Osso Bucco! It was very tasty & you don't see that on a menu very often 👍. Also on our bill, was an added $5 for a "mystery" side. Upon mentioning this to the server, she took our bill away and brought it back MINUS the $25 mistake...she didn't apologize or explain why we were wrongly overcharged. Oh well, at least it was rectified.
Picked this place to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary.. disappointed to say the least. Made reservations and upon entering the establishment we stood at the hostess stand waiting for someone to arrive/greet us. once we were seated we were swarmed by mosquitos. The entire evening we spent slapping our faces, swatting at the mosquito swarm. Couldn't wait to leave. The server was attentive and at one point swatted a mosquito off of my forehead. Not impressed and don't like the extra "protein" of mosquitos while paying a moderate price for salad.
The meal was great! Our server was wonderful, attending to our every need. I thought the "special of the day" was pricey. Usually the special is comparable to the average low-high entree. This far exceeded that.
It was a very nice touch to send out a complimentary dessert for my fiance and the card was very special - signed by your staff. Thank you.
