Shula's 347 Grill - Hotel Duval Tallahassee Ratings and Reviews
The food was fantastic, service wasn't bad but for the $ amount you spend, service could have been a little better. We were there for our 9th anniversary and I felt that they could have at least comp'd the dessert. We felt that they could have made it a little more personal especially since they knew and asked why we were there that night. Dinner for 2 was over $220.00
Food and service was 5 star. My only small complaint was that the link in the reservation email for directions was incorrect, so we showed up late. However they still kept our reservation and the staff were amazing! Thank you. When we are in Tallahassee again we will stop and eat there again.
Shula's did a great job hosting my son's 21st birthday dinner; our waiter was fantastic, engaging, and did a super job keeping us on our toes with sports trivia (something my two sons challenged him to over and over). Food was excellent (as always), and cocktails were prepared to perfection. I did find my steak a tad overcooked, but that could have been because I stated that I wanted it "medium rare-ish" and it came out more on the medium side - I did not bring that to our waiter's attention as I made the error in ordering and the steak was still very good.
If you want a really really good dining experience (and that's what it's all about right?), try Shula's - great food, super staff, and memories are lasting.
Love this restaurant, it is one of my favorites in town. I was disappointed that on the night I visited they did not have the pork chop and had to get something else. But in general if you go, and if they have it, I would recommend the pork chop! Service was "eh" and not up to the level I've come to expect. Atmosphere is always chill and cozy and perfect for a nice relaxing dinner.
We came here for my fiance's birthday dinner. It was just us two. The dinner was absolutely delicious! If you get the chance, get the lobster bisque! So yummy! We finished out the meal with a complimentary small key lime tart topped with a birthday candle. The drinks are amazing, too. We love trying out different places, but we will definitely come back here for more date nights.
The food and ambiance were great. This was our first time (for my wife's birthday) and we had a BOGO coupon. We let our host know we had a coupon which she was happy to take up front. However, it was only when we got the bill we saw a 20% gratuity. And she just matter-of-factly uttered that the gratuity was due to the coupon. You know, if you're gonna give something free just give it, with no backdoor strings attached. Or at least disclose that up front. A little distasteful!
It was an excellent evening, catching up with some business colleagues I had not dined with in a few years. Roy was the perfect waiter, and the food was what I expect at Shula's - very good.
I do wish there was a baked sweet potato option, rather than regular baked potato and sweet potato fries.
