Shula's 347 Grill - Coral Gables Ratings and Reviews
We went to Shulas on New Year's Eve. I really don't like giving negative reviews to restaurants, but there aren't any redeeming qualities about this place. It is very expensive for what you get. In fact, I would say the price/value relationship is poor! The food was absolutely terrible and the wine is higher priced that any other restaurant in the South Miami area. I think that $22 for a glass is very high. Hillstone and Town both have much better brands and charge less for approximately the same amount.
My dinner was inedible. All I asked for was simple grilled salmon and vegetables. I got a dish that was absolutely awful. We have been there in the past and will not go back again.
My husband and sons took me to Shula’s 347 for my birthday. We went early, so we missed the crowd. The restaurant was quiet and the food was absolutely phenomenal. We requested David as our waiter, as he waited on us in the past and is fantastic. The steaks are top quality you will never have s bad meal at this restaurant.
My family and are regulars at Shulas. We always get fantastic service - except this time. Our waiter, Jaime, was unfortunately not very good. He forgot my drink order from the bar. Our water glasses were consistently empty for 5 or 10 minutes. My daughter’s mango sorbet dessert took 15 minutes to arrive. He was not very friendly. Food was great as usual.
Nice table, good food but very loud when you want to discuss anything, you must talk rather loud. I hear they have happy hour at the bar. That's a perk. Food was good, as everyone enjoyed their meal. Do they give a discount for valet parking? Who knows.... so add an additional 7.00 dollars and of course a 2 dollar tip.
Our visit, for a birthday celebration, was unfortunately similar to our recent visits to this restaurant. One of the steaks ordered by our party was badly overcooked and by the time a replacement was brought out, around 40 minutes later, everyone else was done with their meal. Then, even with the manager insisting that he bring us dessert, the server who had been reminded of the birthday celebration by both our party and the hostess placed dessert on the table and walked away. The location and quality of the restaurant have brought us back dozens of times. However, now that the location is the only draw, we'll be searching for alternatives.
