Shula's 2 Steak and Sports @ The Doubletree by Hilton (Independence)

Took my wife there for New Years Eve. Everything and everyone was great. We love this place!

Enjoyed our NYE visit to Shula’s 2 Steak and Sports. Steak was very tender and tasty. Large salad portions. Loaded baked potato was fantastic. The wine was very expensive but that’s obviously optional. Very good service. They kept tables socially distant so we felt very comfortable to dine there. Would recommend.

Service was slow, food needed to be sent back but was corrected. Took longer than what I perceived as necessary.

We never actually got to dine as someone called us 20 minutes before our reservation to cancel on us. No apology, the young lady just said that a server and bartender never showed and they were closing. When I said we were less than 10 minutes away (we live 40 minutes away) she stated “ I’m not sure what you want me to do, I can’t do this by myself.” Needless to say, we will probably never go back.

Fantastic and met our expectations, felt very COVID safe with a quiet delicious meal!!

Great food! Great service! Very uncomfortably quiet. Could have used some music. Pretty much had the entire dining room to our selfs. People, come out of your houses and support these restaurants, if not, they’re not gonna be there when this thing is over!

Definitely a hidden gem...the filet was excellent, I ordered a salad with a veggie burger on top which was great! The ambiance was warm and cozy, the fireplace was perfect for the cold night. Our server was really sweet and on top of things. Looking forward to returning soon!

Great place for a steak and peaceful dinner

Less than expected. Not sure if my expectation was set too high but the food was ok being a Friday in Lent we ordered fish the filet was good however the mixed vegetables and potatoes were only warm fish and chips were not worth the price. Staff was attentive at least. Probably won't be back.

We have been going to Shulas2 to celebrate our Birthdays for the last Six Years. This would be our final dinner there. Food and service was mediocre

they made an excuse about the food and service as they had large groups in the party rooms.

One of the worst experience ever. They were not prepared at all for a Friday Evening on Valentine’s Day. All food was cold, with extremely slow service.

it was Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was not full when we arrived. They were running out of dishes, we received clear salad plates for the appetizer and our water came in wine glasses. We never received bread. All the food came out cold, not warm at all. Our baked potato did not have butter. My steak was undercooked, it was very rare.

That was just some of the things at our table. We sat and watched 4 other tables have the worst dining experience of their lives as well. They just were not prepared to have any business at all. One table called the manager over and he made excuses rather than offering to fix the issue. It was extremely unprofessional. They sent their food back and it did not come back out before we left and that was at least 30 minutes.

The server was trying but they gave her too many tables for her to even succeed.

If things were done correctly, this would have probably been a decent meal. The restaurant is just so poorly ran that the night was a disaster.

I would go back and get a burger but would never spend money on a nice dinner there again.

Valentines Day

We were greeted by the manager and seated promptly. Dinner was delicious. Our server was excellent!

Good overall experience.

This is the fifth year in a row my wife has taken me here for my Birthday.
It is my favorite place to eat for my Birthday.
The food and service have always been outstanding.
Will be back again next year and several other times during the year.

Service was great but food was so so. I had the filet medallions with veggies and I think the meat was old and the veggies tasted burnt from the grill

Needs some updates to restaurant and the bar, but always a decent meal for a decent price

Sports themed place. Quiet when we went but sure it gets noisier during a major sporting event. Menu not extensive but something for everyone. Inside the Doubletree hotel so expect hotel drink prices when it’s not happy hour.

Excellent steak as always along with great service.

The food was horrible. The restaurant was empty and dark. Not the “old” Shula’s! It has gone down in quality, especially for the price!

Susan the waitress was fantastic. The food was great. Had a wonderful night out with my wife. She already wants to go back!

Waitress was nice. Very slow to get food. Waited over an hour for 2 steaks.

Very disappointing we got the home run app sampler and it was suppose to have crispy ravioli and they substituted potato skins for them instead without telling us... asked for ranch gave us blue cheese for our wings

I ordered the time square strip and the main reason I got it was it came with mushrooms and I got no mushrooms... ordered it medium and it was purple in the middle still when I got it... sent it back and then it was medium in one spot but the rest was pretty well done.... the asparagus was burnt on the grill and the steak tasted very burnt probably because the grill was dirty when they cooked it. My smashed potatoes were not hot either

My wife got the pasta and it was pretty underwhelming also it was pretty watered down and

the hostess was more interested playing on her phone then taking care of customers. The service was not much better than the food. The $38.00 steak was waaaaaaay over priced, it should have been more like an $8.00 steak. It was a bit tough & not much flavor. Definately will not return here!

I had the fish of the day sandwich - grilled grouper and it was absolutely delicious! Service was great and I will definitely return.

When one orders a $38 steak I would expect a steakhouse to cook it properly. Medium rare is not a challenging, time-consuming order and I say that as someone who has spent time in the service industry. My last 2 experiences with Shula's 2 have been sub par. I already gave away from other coupons and will not be returning again.
