Showcase Restaurant & Bar

Unfortunately Covid 19 has imposed limits on the restaurant which has impacted on the menu and the ambience. But pre Covid 19 we thought the food was excellent and the restaurant was buzzing

Open Table accepted my reservation, but when we arrived the restaurant was not open.

Was my wife and I’s wedding anniversary. Our waitress gave us complimentary glasses of sparking wine. It was a very nice gesture!!

There are must nicer dining experiences for the same price in downtown Vancouver.

Food is great!! But V day menu is pricey, worth the money at least

Had a fabulous dinner with my man, in close distance from the event we were in town for.

Myself and a group of friends went here for dinner on a Friday night and while the ambiance had us feeling like we were in some small town airport lounge, the food and service definitely exceeded the presumed expectation that the bland aesthetics had set. The menu suggest family sharing style and the portions were generous and everyone left feeling very satisfied. The salmon and steak were the predominant entrees ordered and were both flavorful and cooked to perfection!

Great food, and wonderful waitress! It is a hidden gem, highly recommended

Our server was EXCEPTIONAL. I am sorry, I don't remember his name, but he treated us like precious visitors. Bravo!

Good food that was fresh. service was excellent. The restaurant is to the side of the hotel lobby and can seem a little on the canteen side. But considering it’s in the hotel I looked past that. Alcohol was a little expensive but it is Vancouver. Overall quality rather than quantity but I would not hesitate to return.

I don't normally go for restaurants in hotels (unless I'm forced and I hadn't realized this was such a restaurant) but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. The service was great. It's too open a space though. Would like to see more of a divider from the hotel lobby (which was very cold) and the washroom was quite far away.

The food and the selections available are excellent. Everything was well prepared and presented. The service was attentive but not intrusive. A great experience.

The Christmas special was pretty alright. Ribeye tasted like I make at home, the appetizers were good as well but nothing over the top. Enjoyed the beet salad. The Caesar could use some work.

The Christmas dinner was absolutely wonderful and the shared plating was perfect for the family. Definitely recommend for fine dining without an overkill price tag.

There was a great variety of food available to choose from and all of it a high standard and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. We had a lovely Christmas brunch.

Xmas eve fixed price menu. Several courses of beautifully prepared tasty dishes. Server was friendly and helpful. Seating was comfortable. We would do this again in a heartbeat.

Had a nice lunch with a friend - we both agreed that the food was lacking salt - that said, I'm writing to give future diners a heads-up - the Westcoast Seafood Chowder is a cream soup, not a thick chowder. I waded through a large bowl of warm (not hot) cream with a few bits of seafood and two tiny pieces of potato. Tasty (once I added salt), but not quite what I expected. Also, as an side, chefs need to really give a second thought to putting shells in a cream soup - it's just a mess getting them out.

Waiter was incredibly rude. When one meal was brought out not as requested, waiter blamed the customer for not being clear (she was perfectly clear) and when he brought the meal back (still not right, but closer) he literally threw it in front of her and said "here". Then did not come back a single time to see how our food was.

My meal was also incorrect, but he blamed the kitchen for that and had it replaced very promptly.

Went on Sunday at 11am for brunch buffet, should’ve looked a bit into it as it ended at 11! This is definitely my own fault for not pre checking just assumed a breakfast/brunch would go till 12-1. Had the avocado toast and the pulled Pork Benny with my partner and it was unreal ! Great food and service when we went, almost thankful that we missed the buffet as these meals were really great.

The meals for 6 of 7 guests were outstanding. A steak (ordered as rare) came back medium-well to well done.

And although the restaurant was not at all busy, our server seemed more interested in conversing, flirting or otherwise engaging with the four individuals at a table next door rather than taking our initial orders and getting the evening underway.

The food and service at Showcase is consistently good. What is not good is the music - this is a place for business people to have lunch. Nobody wants to have loud thumping bass making it impossible to hear your table mates. It seems something has changed as I noticed this issue and reported it to the manager. I went back yesterday and it was the same. I won't be back.

Service was good but Hot food was cold.

As per usual, the food and service were good. But someone seriously needs to look at the choice of music as this time it was different than before. Who would think that music with a heavy bass beat would be suitable for an establishment that caters to lunch for business people? I'll probably go back again, but if the environment doesn't improve, I'll find a different location.

Got a very quiet area fir our business meeting. Excellent service

My server was Chris T and the service was the worst that I have ever experienced at Showcase!!! He would disappear for long stretches and not take my order, or refill beverages or even bring the bill for payment. It was so bad that another patron commented about it without my prompting them.

Overall, a good choice for a hotel restaurant. Unique and tasty food preparation, especially some of the appetizers. Unfortunately some of the mains we're not quite as good (undercooked risotto, dry salmon). Would recommend appetizers: gnocchi, kale+quinoa, and eggplant dip.

Overall this is an excellent restaurant with convenient location and friendly staff. The food is tasty and fresh and the drink menu is quite diverse

The food and the service were phenomenal

Everything was great, the server was friendly and knowledgeable. One thing to improve is the speed for serving meals. I think we waited more than half hour for our dinner to come on.

Amazing food! Excellent service. Really fun atmosphere. Highly recommend. Don’t miss eating dinner and having dessert.
