Shoreline is a restaurant located on a docked, multi-level cruise ship serving fine American cuisine on Lake George. The menu is chock full of delicious seafood items with bits of other classic fare sprinkled throughout. On the appetizer menu at Shoreline, guests have options like fried calamari, crab cakes, steamed clams, lobster bisque and of course clam chowder.
The entree menu has burgers, pasta, steak and fish but the real highlight is an entire page of the menu is devoted just to lobster dishes. Guests at Shoreline have their pick from such indulgent choices as lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese, a lobster rueben or even a lobster and asparagus mac and cheese. They also offer dinner cruises with or without fireworks, and pirate ship cruises to delight the little ones.
Jessica Q. our service was tremendous and the food was great. Next time in Lake George we will ear hear again.
They didn't seem to care that we had a reservation at all, we still had to wait a while. Our table ended up being off to a side of the restaurant where there were only 2 other tables and our server was hardly ever around, I assume because her other tables were in the main section. For our server to even come over to greet us took a good 20 minutes. We had to ask for things like ketchup and drink refills multiple times before they finally made it to our table. The table next to us had three different groups seated at it and then leave before ordering while we were waiting for our food. Maybe they were understaffed? I am not sure what the problem was but the service was very poor. We stayed because we were with 2 very tired children who would not have made it if we had to find another restaurant. The only thing that made up for it was a 1lb. lobster for $20.99 and excellent clam chowder. I would not go back though.
Did not honor OpenTable reservation. Hostess said that the system had been down for months. No tables were available outside so we had to sit inside (no other table was seated inside as people clearly come here for the view only). Food was ok, seemed frozen. Our waitress was nice and attentive and apologized for long wait on the food due to the kitchen being backed up.
The reviews on this place are varied as was our recent meal on the weekend. The food was OK with nothing special to note. The service seemed like "get in, sit order eat get out so we can serve another. When we return to Lake George we will likely skip the shoreline restaurant. The saving part of the evening was the view.... Outstanding.
The service was great (Attentive, friendly) ... food was prepared well
I had the opportunity to sit outside - which made the experience even better.
The view of the lake at night is just beautiful - a relaxing way to experience Lake George dining!
The only thing that this restaurant has going for it is the location.. We were a large party (19) and only 2 people were happy with their meal.
Our first night in Lake George, the week before summer actually begins up here... no crowds, choice of table to see the lake while dining The waiter was friendly enough, though not very attentive.
The food was definitely NOT fit for a foodie. The stuffed sole was out of the freezer quality with stuffing that was heavy bread consistency with a hint of the shellfish that was advertised on the menu.
We weren't expecting the best that LG offered but, what we were served was a poor example of the kitchen's own standards.
Restaurant in need of updating. Shoddy carpets and woodwork. Has potential with renovation as it has great views of lake george
Great spot for a group of 8 (4 kids / 4 adults) for a Saturday night on Memorial Day weekend. Good table, good food, good service. Good kids menu. The waiter accommodated separate checks for our two families which was helpful. The kids got to watch the action on the lake and sidewalk below. If the kids are happy and have something to look at and keep them occupied, it makes a good meal for everyone!
My wife and I visited this restaurant expecting a dining experience that would be casual but professional. When we walked in, the young female hostess was irritated because a customer was asking directions to the restaurant. She ended up slamming the phone down on the person. We were shown to our table which overlooked the lake; this was the highpoint of our experience. I ordered a soft drink... which came in a plastic cup. Really? Plastic? The french fries were cold when they arrived. The burger was good. My wife's fish was satisfactory at best. The waitress needs further training. In all, I would not recommend this eatery to anyone. In fact, we were disappointed in Lake George in general. It is a tourist trap.
Decent food although, poor delivery and pacing. Not acknowledged for reservation through
OpenTable which made it uncomfortable for me and my party. Poor seating and mediocre table service. Not how presented on the site. Never going back.
The restaurant is Ok ,the lake view is limited , the menu is Ok nothing special, the drinks some good others no, capuchino machine not working but service good.
Cannot say enough about the restaurant. EVERYTHING was TERRIFIC.
Given the location and the view it only need to serve a better food quality
Been going to this restaurant for the past two years and have always received great service, wonderful food and a view that is worth every penny. Especially enjoy the Thursday night fireworks over lake George during the summer.
My wife and I visit Lake George every couple of years and this was our first time here. It was wonderful. We had a great seat on the veranda overlooking the lake. It was a beautiful night. The food was really good. My wife didn't care for her chicken dish due to it being on a bed of pasta with vodka sauce. Not a good mix. All in all, a great place to eat and we will return.
Nice setting, easy access, good appetizers And fish, but services was poor, and breads were stale
reported to BBB, had hair in our food and bread manager wasn't pleasant at all. night was awful never go their!
We had a great experience here. We were in town for 4th of July and you couldn't ask for a better view of the fireworks. We were seated right away upon arrival. The service was slow, but considering the number of tables and that it was a holiday weekend, things seemed to be running pretty smoothly. Our server was friendly and apologetic for the amount of time our food was taking. Food itself was great and a great value for the price. We would definitely return if in the area again.
We ate on the deck and watched the boats come in and the early evening crowd walking by. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was great! The eggplant appetizer was fantastic!
We were on a bus tour and ended up in Lake George NY for 2 hours - free time for dinner. i made a reservation on my phone through open table at the shoreline. When we arrived, on time, we were told that they were not taking reservations that day and definetly not on open table. When I showed the hostess my confirmation, she went to the manager who agreed to seat our party of 4. The food was lukewarm, the coconut shrimp raw. For the price we paid we will not be back
Clearly, this is not the place to be in the fall. The restaurant was empty which was great for the kids to run around in but the food was subpar.
Right on lakefront and marina. Family place. NOT fine dining. On a Sat night at 7:30pm there were 4 tables taken, a bad sign as soon as we entered. Screaming children from one of those four tables were the only music for our meal. The tables are green formica. The plants are fake. Food was ok, nothing special. Typical, predictable, mediocre quality. Service was very good. The girl was sweet and helpful.
Super waitstaff - had a great meal & a fabulous view!
This restaurant is all about location. It overlooks Lake George and has a view of the lake and cruise boats. The entrees were tolerable but not the desserts. Danielle was a very nice server.
