Shor Seafood at the Hyatt Resort & Spa Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful venue outside brunch on Sunday, reasonable prices. Incredible fresh fruit bowl with generous variety. Fruit served with yoghurt was delicious. Continental breakfast was filling and attractively served. Fried egg was possibly the best I’ve had .
Our waiter was helpful, attentive and friendly. I would definitely return here if I was back in Key West! Prices were reasonable, better than free standing town establishments. The view of the water and all the boats made this perfect.
Staff was very nice. Table view was excellent. Food was not great. Rare steak was overcooked. Oysters were sandy. Fish dip was bad. Surf and turf was extra salty. We felt the restaurant must have a new chef who was still learning how to properly cook the meal as ours was not good. The server was very nice though.
Delicious rib eye & chicken dinners , exceptional service and view after long travel day. No surprise they won the best key lime pie 2 years in a row, and after 3 days of trying lots of key lime pie, there's is by-far the best thanks to their crunchy crust! Amazing & heading back for more.
Was looking forward to eating there because of it being a seafood restaurant and the waterfront view. So we planned an easter brunch. This was a special occasion for us and we looked forward to eating some seafood. But, we had a reservation and had to wait 30 minutes before being seated which wasnt so bad because of the bottomless mimosa's so we waited patiently. So, the food was such a disappointment because there was not a lot of seafood to eat . And the crabcake bennies were very bready and dry. And the oysters on half shell you can get anywhere. So very unhappy with the mediocre food and choices and this was a buffet. And for the $50 price tag , we were very unhappy. Also, they inluded an 18% tip and this was a buffet, where you get your own food. So over all won't go back nor recommend to our guests. We are locals in a small town and word gets around. But the only thing positive is the view. Beautiful!
Sunset view was very nice and skirt steak was very bad. Service was ok, nothing special. Only food highlight was calamari fingers which were very good. For the price both food and service must improve. No one to greet when you walk in. Service was not bad but nothing special. Skirt steak looked great but couldn't eat it as it was like chewing on leather. My wifes fish was reported to be ok. She had a salad which was ok. Again, for the price of 80 to 90 bucks a piece expect much better than this.
The food was ok but what killed it was he service. We were seated for 1.5 hours before we got our appetizer. Mind you the restaurant was about 10% full so it wasn't a busy evening. We ordered 2 appetizers and two dinners that was it, no drinks or anything else. It only was the service bad but the bill was very high.
We have gone to Shor once a year for many years while visiting Key West. The views are outstanding and the food was always acceptable. However, this time the food really was not very good. My husband had a rib eye steak which he had to send back because he ordered it rare and each time it was med/med rare. Both steaks were very thin. I also had the ribeye and mine was slightly overcooked, but acceptable. To their credit, they made an accommodation on the check. We were also disappointed in the wine list. The views from the outdoor dining tables are spectacular, however the food and wine list are not of the quality that we're used to at other Hyatt resorts. Our waiter was great, though!
Shor is on our short list of favorite Key West restaurants. We come to KW every year about this time and dine at Shor at last once. Easy to get to, not too hard parking nearby, very nice decor, exceptional view, always good service and the menu is always a treat. Try their Key Lime pie, which is quite good.
My father is a local concierge and had cash value vouchers. They offered us a local discount. Which we expected. And then took it away. My fish was suggested med rare. Which it was and was cold. After heating it up it was delicious. Wine list is very limited and boring.
Food was good but over priced for what it was even in Key West. Table outside overlooking the harbor was incredible, so that and the fact that it's in a hotel is what you're paying for. Service was very slow and a bit inattentive. There was a table with several unmanaged little kids next to us that really marred the experience. Not really the restaurant's fault but seems to happen more and more even in nice hotel restaurants.
Perfect weather made the whole experience better than expected. Exceptionally good preparations for a hotel restaurant. Nice wine selections from a short, but well chosen wine list. You can lounge around here all afternoon watching the Key West waterway action.
Just awful! I wouldnt mind the super small portion if it tasted better. I had the scallops for $42 and I got four small, over seasoned, scallops. The bisque was disgusting. I couldn't finish it. And the creme brulee was inedible! One bite and I spit it out!
I will never eat there again. Terrible waste of money!!!
Very good experience during our first night in Key West. We were able to choose a light dinner from a creative menu. Superb margaritas. The key lime pie belongs in the transcendent category, light and creamy with just the right texture in the crust. Christo was an attentive and pleasant server.
