Great place to eat! Beautiful view of the sunset! Staff was very friendly! Highly recommend this place!
Lovely evening, food was fabulous, service was good and a beautiful sunset. What more could you want!
SHOR is great in terms of food, location, and sunset views. Where it falls down when eating indoors is the combination of a sparse room full of hard surfaces (where sound carries like crazy) and the fact that every chair and table grates loudly across the hard floor every time one of them is moved. An otherwise great meal is spoiled by having to talk over this chair/table noise regularly. SHOR should invest in some of the same soft pads I use on wooden chairs at home to avoid the same problem - a quick trip to Home Depot should do the trick!
Food was excellent. Get the surf and turf!!!
Excellent seafood specialty, efficient service, not too noisy. Impressed with she crab soup, beats all other shellfish soups ever tried. Grouper was amazing. Decor is '' ehh'' but is immediately forgotten when food arrives.
Calamari was the best I've ever had. Not overly breaded. You can actually taste the squid which was delicious. Sister and I split the cobia and sides. It was very filling. Sit on the terrace and you'll be able to watch the sunset over pier 60. Beautiful, magical and extremely memorable!
Shout out to Maria for making this such a pleasant evening for us.
Ok but not worth it if you’re a local.
I expected more from this restaurant from a food taste and service POV. Neither was bad. Just average. Therefore the 3 stars. I ordered Calamari as an appetizer and lobster ravioli for the main course. The calamari was tasty, but the ravioli was a bit insipid.
Excellent service, great food and a perfect buffet for children.
We love it!! Best calamari in the area! Lobster Mac and cheese was also amazing! Great view of Clearwater beach area too!
Excellent experience. Loved the kids buffet, adult meals were fantastic, view of the beach and sunset was awesome ! Our server, Maria was wonderful! Definitely recommend!
Tonight my husband, son and girlfriend dined. We were to be having a reservation at Shepard’s but when we got there we realized it was only buffet. No thank you!!! So I looked it n Open Table and found Shor. So excited we did!!
Airy atmosphere, open kitchen to see chefs and help prepare. Our waitress Maria was great. She was serving the entire place I think. We got there at 7:09 and it wasn’t very crowded but within an hour she was slammed.
We had many appetizers. We had the shrimp , the tuna, and the calamari. We thought the tuna was the best. Then we shared the lobster Mac and cheese. This was fantastic! Hit and an ample amount to share. Then we decided to just jump into the deserts. Not overly impressive selections. We split the agave cheesecake that was wonderful.
We were overall happy with food and service. However felt they truly needed one or even two additional servers so we could get the service we deserved in this upscale restaurant. Maria as I said was great but wish she was available a bit more to meet our needs .
After the beach we wanted something special for dinner. This is definitely the place. Had a beautiful view of the ocean and beach. I ordered the mahi mahi and the fish was too hard but that coconut rice was divine!!! The service was amazing I felt like I was home. The people who work there are amazing. Drinks are good! Excellent experience.
Ok place but not the higher level experience we hoped for with the Hyatt brand. Mediocre food, atmosphere and service.
Brunch was ridculously expensive, with tax, before tip $80 per person. Stone crab claws were small, overcooked and/or not fresh and therefore stuck to the shell...also they were not cracked enough to easily consume. Oysters were subpar, small and dificult to separate from the shell. Food service tables stretched into the main hotel entrance corridor where dozens of people entering/leaving the hotel passed within an arm's length of uncovered food service platters. Used plates not removed from tables when patrons returned to food service. Cheese & fruit service table looked like a tornado had hit it....very unappetizing.
They had special brunch for Easter and though it was a higher price than we normally pay, it had SO much variety and quality food choices - quality. The bottomless Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar didn't disappoint. The fun surprise - a donut station. For the food, we love the fresh ingredients, neat choices (such as Duck Tart), and an incredible carving station. The staff were friendly and attentive. The buffet was set up so none of the guests were on top of each other - a nice factor. I would definitely go to a special brunch there again!
We went on Easter brunch. Open table did not point out that there was only a brunch buffet for this day. The menu for this location was very reasonable. However when we got the check for the Easter brunch I was in shock. Open table should have informed us of the price for Easter brunch. The manager of SHOR was very accommodating. After speaking with her we left very happy. The food was amazing and the service was great.
We thought we had a new favorite restaurant until almost everyone was served before us, including a few tables that came in after us. The cioppino was delicious but didn’t include the fish we were told would be in it. We had to ask someone for the server to bring our check, because we never saw him after the food was delivered. Extremely disappointed in the service, the view is beautiful and the food is very good.
Great menu, food was delicious. The fish (red snapper) was cooked perfectly. Wish the wine list was a bit more global as well as more BTG choices. Micheal was fantastic.
Our server Maria was phenomenal! We were celebrating a special birthday and she made the evening magical. Her food recommendations were excellent, she encouraved us to take our time and even sent 2 amazing desserts to the table to complete our celebration. A night to remember***
I had asked for a special seating which they did not honor at first. The food was late and a bit salty. The only very good thing that covered the flaws was the professionalism of our server who apologized constantly. They did try to compensate with not charging for the bottle of wine
The waitress was great, but the kitchen took almost 1.5 hrs to get us our food. It was a very long wait.
Very good view little pricey was rated on the web as $. It is more $$, but the food and service were outstanding. As most restaurants seem to be, no where near as attentive to non drinkers.
Our party was a little underwhelmed by SHOR. My crab cake was cold and the other dishes in our party were categorized as fair. The calamari was not very good at all - overbattered and overfried. My husband and his friend felt his dish lacked seasoning. It was very noisy. Our server was great though. Very friendly and helpful. Kids' dishes were just okay... the usual and nothing interesting. It's okay for a quick bite, but for the prices they need to raise the bar.
Nice restaurant. Sat outside and street noise (cars racing engines , loud music) ruined ambiance
Nice dinner. Hubby had the whole snapper, daughter the Lobster Mac and cheese. Both great. Calamari and scallops apps very nice! Maria was our server and was EXCELLENT!
Food and service were excellent. However the noise level made it impossible to enjoy either conversation was impossible. We mentioned this to the manager and told him we would not return unless the problem was corrected
Food was not extraordinary for the prices charged. We were in Clearwater a week, sorry this was our last meal there, so many better restaurants to choose from. We have eaten at some great restaurants with comparable prices, do not mind paying for a great steak, these were mediocre, & needed sauces to add flavor.
Fantastic! The wait staff was exceptional and attentive. Beautiful ambiance.
This place really made my girlfriend’s 21st birthday dinner one to remember!
Very casual atmosphere. Very good food.
Miss the high top tables by the kitchen it would make you feel like you were there in the kitchen with the chefs.
Seated immediately was appreciated for sure. Our server William was a bit laid back for the setting.
Ordered cocktails to start Sent a lemon drop martini back for being a syrupy mess. Wrong glass and an coating of granulated sugar like making lemonade. Remake not better but felt bad sending back again. A(was taken off the bill in the end)
Ordered two appetizers to share.... Caesar Salad very vinegary dressing with a core hunk of Romaine. The kitchen split the salad. Shaved cheese was tasteless. If it was supposed to be Parmigiana it was aged a day or two. Tasteless.
“Shared” the crab cake appetizer... served on one plate no extra plate or utensils. Had to ask for plates. Served st the same time as the salad rather than paced. Way overpriced for two crab balls!! More fanfare look than substance for sure.
The lobster ravioli dish was replaced with pappardelle an scallops. Drowning in cream sauce an pasta clumped together. Disappointed
Just when all seemed lost......
The whole red snapper was the redemption of the meal. Delicious sauce compliments the vegetables. Wish there were a plate for the Carcass for it or if after a presentation it was fileted and served.
We were able to have a tartlet of key lime pie. Also a highlight. Not sure why they would not feature it regularly.
Nice view of the kitchen
Our server, Maria, could not have been more gracious and really added to the experience! The food was delicious and the view of the beach was lovely!
Food was excellent, and our server, Maria, was an absolute delight!
Do not expect a steak cooked anything other than Medium Well. Take girlfriend here for special occasion, very disappointed.
The staff seemed lost. The food was good just not worth the money it took forever for dessert and espresso and we just wanted the check and to leave the sword fish was very good but I wouldn’t go back just for that
Service was great, the menu had something for everyone. Our waiter, Rob Resnikoff, was outstanding - very personable, enjoyable and did everything he could to ensure we had a great experience.
Very good food and varied menu. Extremely pleasant and helpful wait staff.
I had Ribeye steak that was fantastic. My wife had the lobster Mac and cheese and loved it. Waiter was extremely helpful and pleasant. Go to Clearwater Beach every spring and will always dinner here at least once.
