Miss the high top tables by the kitchen it would make you feel like you were there in the kitchen with the chefs.
Seated immediately was appreciated for sure. Our server William was a bit laid back for the setting.
Ordered cocktails to start Sent a lemon drop martini back for being a syrupy mess. Wrong glass and an coating of granulated sugar like making lemonade. Remake not better but felt bad sending back again. A(was taken off the bill in the end)
Ordered two appetizers to share.... Caesar Salad very vinegary dressing with a core hunk of Romaine. The kitchen split the salad. Shaved cheese was tasteless. If it was supposed to be Parmigiana it was aged a day or two. Tasteless.
“Shared” the crab cake appetizer... served on one plate no extra plate or utensils. Had to ask for plates. Served st the same time as the salad rather than paced. Way overpriced for two crab balls!! More fanfare look than substance for sure.
The lobster ravioli dish was replaced with pappardelle an scallops. Drowning in cream sauce an pasta clumped together. Disappointed
Just when all seemed lost......
The whole red snapper was the redemption of the meal. Delicious sauce compliments the vegetables. Wish there were a plate for the Carcass for it or if after a presentation it was fileted and served.
We were able to have a tartlet of key lime pie. Also a highlight. Not sure why they would not feature it regularly.
Nice view of the kitchen
Our server, Maria, could not have been more gracious and really added to the experience! The food was delicious and the view of the beach was lovely!
Food was excellent, and our server, Maria, was an absolute delight!
Do not expect a steak cooked anything other than Medium Well. Take girlfriend here for special occasion, very disappointed.
The staff seemed lost. The food was good just not worth the money it took forever for dessert and espresso and we just wanted the check and to leave the sword fish was very good but I wouldn’t go back just for that
Service was great, the menu had something for everyone. Our waiter, Rob Resnikoff, was outstanding - very personable, enjoyable and did everything he could to ensure we had a great experience.
Very good food and varied menu. Extremely pleasant and helpful wait staff.
I had Ribeye steak that was fantastic. My wife had the lobster Mac and cheese and loved it. Waiter was extremely helpful and pleasant. Go to Clearwater Beach every spring and will always dinner here at least once.
The shrimp and grits was to die for. The service was spectacular as well! Wonderful setting right on the beach. Great place for watching the sunset!
Surf and turf was amazing and ahi tuna app was perfect. Sat out on the balcony for dinner and it was beautiful. Only thing missing was they did not have key lime pie! Hahaha... we will be back for sure.
I host meetings for six or seven people at this restaurant several times a year, always with the same booking requests. It was disappointing that there were no more round tables (which were there four days before!)
Great food. Great services
Lightning needs to be changed Too bright in some places dark in others
Food is not that good for that price. The restaurant is nice, clean, with a nice view
Nous avons été pour la st Valentin dans l'ensemble bon service mais lent . Mais ils ce sont excuser en nous offrant un verre de vin. Par contre le dessert était très ordinaire. Nous avions pris le menu st Valentin.
We were not told at the time we made the resv. That this (2/14) would feature a fixed price menu. It was $70 plus drinks for a mediocre 4 course dinner.
Our waitress (from Pittsburgh) was great and overall service was very good.
We will probably not return to SHOR.
Wonderful St Valentine’s Day dinner. I made the reservations a few weeks back after I looked at their menu online. They had a prefix menu tonight. We were a little surprised but the options were fine. Service was excellent and so was the food. The scallops were our favorite. Beautiful sunset of the Gulf of Mexico,
First while we knew it was Valentines Day, they never said anything about having a special Valentines menu you HAD to order from. Very very disappointed in that as the menu did nothing for me. Service was excellent and our server was very good. Food was ok, but here was nothing on the menu that made me change our minds that food was great. I had snapper which was good, but nothing I would certainly rave over. My wife had a chicken selection and again was descent but not worth the price. I may try again just because the ambiance was good and view of the ocean was very nice. But not running back soon.
Food was different and excellent. Overall an outstanding experience and will go again. Recommend sitting outside overlooking the water as long as it's not too hot.
Excellent meal - great wait staff, made modifications tot he menu and they were excellent. I will return.
I can't say enough GREAT things about the Shor at Clearwater Beach Hyatt. We stay here annually while visiting my in-laws and love coming here for an elegant, exquisite dinner. The food is excellent - try the lobster mac & cheese - more lobster than you can imagine - you won't be disappointed. It's succulent and delicious. The view at sunset is amazing. This place is nothing but spectacular. Don't miss it.
Been here twice. The calamari is excellent. Whole snapper, fabulous. Haven't ordered anything we didn't like. Unfortunately, it's dead - at least on those two occasions. Such a great place - wish it was busier!
The servers were timely and friendly, the food expertly prepared and eye- catching. Even the manager stopped by to introduce himself. When you stay at a quality venue like Hyatt, why go down the road to save a few bucks? We tried local fare and the results were telling. Go where the people strive to please you, it’s always worth it!
We came on a Sunday night to celebrate my mother in laws bday. The bartender seemed very stressed out and it took forever to get a glass of wine. He was also rude to the servers as well. It was quite awkward.
Maria was our server and she was outstanding. She made great recommendations and really took care of us. Maria was attentive, professional, and we will be asking for her when we come back.
I would recommend that the servers and hostess wear a more formal attire. This place has the potential to be a really nice dining spot just seemed odd how casual the servers were. I know it's in a hotel but the pricing of the dishes are definitely upscale.
The food was amazing and our waitress made our night extra special. The apple tarte was beyond delicious. Great date night with hubby.
Great. Felt well taken care of.
Overall dining experience was good. Our biggest complaint is that my father-in-law is diabetic and ordered french toast with sugar free syrup. We were told that none was available. The waitress, who did a good job, elevated this to a supervisor to no avail. My in-laws advised that they dine out frequently and have never encountered breakfast service (especially at a higher class establishment) that could not accommodate them with this simple request. This was quite disappointing. Otherwise it was a nice morning.
Delicious grouper bites and a salad for lunch. Service was very attentive. Nice view of the ocean from the outdoor dining area.
We were visiting Shor with our kids for a nice dinner. We made reservations a day ahead and when we arrived were seated at a table in the kitchen area at a high top. The hostess explained that was all they had for us. I saw her seat everyother party in the dining room area, we were the ONLY people sitting in the kitchen area. We asked her for a kids menu, never brought. Our waiter was fine, just seemed a little over worked and we were the last ones to get help. He did bring the kids menu finally and would disapear for long amounts of time. We only had a few items from the shareables section of the menu. The grouper bites and calamari were very good, burrata salad not so good, little to no flavor. All in all this was a very disappointing night. We actually ended up elsewhere to have dessert which was so much better. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to be treated like they are not outsiders.
This is a wonderful restaurant with an incredible staff. The view of the water makes for a beautiful setting. The black grouper was delicious and the crab cakes were amazing! i would go back again the next time I travel to Clearwater.
Came to the Hyatt to check out various venues and stopped here for lunch. Our server Remington was efficient and friendly. The cocktails and entrees were delicious and well prepared.
The staff was very friendly. Food was good except for my husband's steak had a long blonde hair in it. Neither one of us have long hair, nor did our server. They did make him another one, but by the time he received it, I was almost done with my food. They did not charge us for his meal. The hair, was just kind of a turn off.
Our server Maria was extremely personable, a pleasure to deal with! Her recommendations were fantastic! We returned a few days later and ordered the same meals- lobster mac ‘n cheese and mushroom risotto. Maria suggested adding scallops to the risotto- delicious! Great experience!
Ben was a wonderful server and the food was amazing
WE spent New Year's eve at the Hyatt Regency. Excellent hotel good service beautiful rooms overlooking the gulf. Perfect for watching the fireworks display. Shor is an excellent resturant and great food and service.
Sorry to say I was disappointed about our New Years Eve dinner at SHOR. First of all I didn’t realize it was a buffet. I never read or saw anything about a buffet dinner. I am not a fan of buffets so I would of never made reservations if I knew prior to arriving . When I found out buffet only I thought to myself where can I go last minute if I had turned around. So I decided to give it a try . Never again ! Prime rib was ok, all the sides were terrible . Very heavy and a lot of carbs. Hardly any veggies . Disappointed at a place like the Hyatt for having something like this. The room was noisey and small . Getting up and down for food made it difficult with little space to move around . Very expensive too. $70 each for lousy food , then cocktails made it a $300 night and not so good.
