The food was quite good and creative. The service was exceptional from the valet parking to the waiter. The beautiful sunset is an added plus.
Maria is our new friend who made great recommendations, treated us to great service, made our dining what it should always be - an experience. Oh, and the food was amazing too!
Food was vert good, best mozzarella in caprese salad ever. Server was awesome, steak slightly overcooked, but still delicious. Crab cakes were incredible, grilled Cobia a bit too salty.
Amazing food, great service. We sat outside in March in watched the sunset! Gorgeous!
Our server was great. Everyone that came In contact with us made us feel special. The seafood is great, local and fresh. The kitchen is open in the middle of the restaurant so you can see them prepare all of your meals. Top notch. I will be back.
Try the whole snapper. You won’t go wrong.
We enjoyed two amazing dinners while staying at the Hyatt! Our meals were delicious and the service was terrific!
I brought my wife there for her birthday. We both enjoyed the experience. Thank you
The server gave us the wrong thing and was not very attentive to us but was to the table behind us. I did not think the crab cakes were good but the Scallops and She Crab soup was excellent.
Amazing calamari; super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amazing drinks!
The lobster club sandwich was incredible. Great beer on tap as well.
Go for the service and view, but not the food. The food was pretty bad. Cold seafood (expensive appetizer) was very rubbery. Salads nothing special. Ok for sandwiches.
Our waitress Maria was great! She took excellent care of of! Food was very tasty too.
It was less than I expected to be the highest recommended for the hotel.
Outstanding for a hoteltrestaurant. Extensive menu, friendly staff. High quality food.
Our waiter, Remington was awesome! My wife said it was the best lobster that she has ever had! Fantastic view of the sunset! I very much appreciated the birthday wish and dessert!! We'll be back!!!!!
It was absolutely amazing! Rob was a gentleman and a scholar. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy the food and the atmosphere!
We were not seated for 40 mins in spite of having a reservation. I was over hungry and they weren’t very apologetic. Our server was great-whenever he came to the table to check on us, but couldn’t flag him down between those times. The whole red snapper was cooked to perfection but I resent restaurants that take reservations and still don’t have your table ready within about 10 mins.
We LOVE this restaurant!! Everything is top notch from the greeting to the service to the food. Highly reccommend!!
food was too spicy for my wife and it wasn't noted as spicy on menu. otherwise great view and service
We went last year for Valentines and the food was amazing... However this year we got the exact same thing and it was horrific..... Paid $36 a plate and managed to choke down half of it and had the waiter take the rest....didn't even want the leftovers
We came for lunch with relatives. It was our first visit. The menu was nice, but not exceptional, the service on the sun porch was superb. Prices were typical for a Hyatt attached facility. We got our parking validated, but the parking deck claimed the voucher was invalid. No humans around, only the machine. Had to pay $15 for parking that was supposedly complimentary.
Very disappointed. Unfortunate choice for our wedding anniversary. I'm sure there's a nice view during the day, but for evening dining, no ambiance and not special at all. At first they had us sitting in the middle of the walkway, and we asked to be moved. The wait staff uniforms had a cafeteria vibe. We noted that we were celebrating our anniversary on the reservation, but there was no mention of it by the hostess or waiter. The she crab soup was good, but the mussels were shriveled up and dry. The seasoning on the snapper was bland and not sure what they were going for with the seasoning on the vegetables (carrots and green beans). The ribbon pasta in the lobster and scallop paradelle was too heavy and dense. Overall, not worth the money and will have a do over on our anniversary dinner.
We are seafood snobs from the panhandle - we thought the ciopinno and seafood tower were “okay”
I’m not a person that typically complains. But the environment was Really Loud to the point of not being able to hear people at our small table. Food presentation was very good and open view kitchen was nice. Service was pretty good and our waiter knew the menu well. Food was mostly just ok. Taste was unexpectedly off with one of my guests pushing back saying lobster/scallop meal didn’t taste right. Another of my family stated similar issue with steak. About 3 hours after my lobster/scallop dinner I was awakened with sharp abdominal pains that I attribute to my dinner choice. I agreed at the time that the taste was off and did not finish. Our waiter did offer to “get us something else” but the evening was late and we just declined that offer or to box it up. Prices were higher than expected, but in line with fine dining.
Can NOT beat the view!!! Extraordinary experience. Made reservations for Valentine’s Day 2019 for a patio seat. It was a little colder than expected (low 60s) so they moved the reservations inside bc they don’t have heating lamps (no storage I was told). We persisted and had the ENTIRE patio to ourself. It was extremely romantic. They offered a wonderful 4 course meal with choice options, the drinks were made to perfection, and the sunset was just magical. Roses were placed on each table and they offered free cheese and brandy sampling. Live music was on the inside. We had the best time & you can’t beat the ambiance!! This is one of my fav hidden gems!!!
Food was excellent but they were very under staffed. Our waiter was also bartender!
Maria was the best and made great recommendations, everything was cooked to perfection.
Our waitress Maria was beyond wonderful!!! Our food and service was exceptional!! We can’t wait to come back next year. 😁
Excellent location with sunset view. Outstanding food.
Food ans service was superb. Recommend the surf and turf. Our server Maria was wonderful and very knowledgable of the menu. Best food in Clearwater.
This was our first time at SHOR. I had the butternut squash risotto and my husband had the lobster mac and cheese. The waiter also recommended the crab cakes for an appetizer and ensured it was gluten free for me. Great meal and beautiful location. The staff were friendly and helpful.
This by far was an outstanding dinner. We were greeted at the host/hostess stand by Maria who was very pleasant and to our delight ended up being our waitress for the night. Maria was bright and cheerful and took her time to describe the menu and the choices. We cannot say enough about her. The cocktails were amazing as well as the calamari and scallops appetizers we had. We went with a chicken entree as well as the lobster Mac-n-cheese... Both entrees were incredible.. we will definitely be returning on our next trip...
There is only one restaurant for this really nice hotel, which is unfortunate, as they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner here. You would think they would up the ambiance for dinner, and put candles on the tables and tablecloths. Instead it looked exactly the same as if we were there for breakfast with place mats! Tacky, considering this place thinks of themselves as “fine dining” for dinner. It was my birthday, which the waiter never even acknowledged, but knew. I had the lobster Mac and cheese, which was awful, with raw lobster and the Mac and cheese was soupy and runny. I also ordered a drink that didn’t say it had mint in it, but came with it anyway, which I don’t like. We sent my diner back as it was awful, so they did take it off of our bill, but my birthday dinner was already ruined. The manager did come by and apologize, which was nice, as you could tell she was sincere and very apologetic. Also, it was a Thursday night at 7:45pm, so the restaurant was not crowded; however, we were put at a small table that sits in the middle of the restaurant with people who constantly walk past, as it was the aisle. You would think we would of been put at a nicer table by a window. It would have also been nice if they offered a small free dessert when it’s someone’s birthday, something every nice restaurant I have ever been to has done. Everyone likes to feel special for their birthday, abut this place really missed the mark. Would I ever eat here again? Probably not.
I cannot recommend the breakfast Cuban enough! The food is always very good and the service is exceptional! Not to mention fantastic views
Great place, food, and view at this restaurant.
Amazing views!! Super staff! Would definitely go back!
We had a very pleasant time at dinner.
Our server Maria went above and beyond, knew the menu inside and out, and was very friendly - we would go back just to dine with her again.
It was New Year’s Eve so was expensive but you kind of expect that on New Year’s Eve. However for the money, I didn’t feel it was the ‘grand’ experience it should have been. Food was ok, some even quite good. But overall not the level I expected for a $70 a plate meal that didn’t include drinks or gratuity. Service was good.
New Year's Eve dinner buffet was sub-par. No appetizers and desserts were were picked over / not frequently refilled. Quality of main courses was good though.
