Shooters Waterfront Ratings and Reviews
Service was ok. I got the chicken and waffles. I definitely would not get that again. The chicken wasn't fried, and it had a funny vinegar taste. The syrup wasn't syrup. It was watery and not sweet at all. I would definitely come back to shooters I would order something else
Such A Shame! I've been coming to Shooters off and on for many years and this last visit might just be my last. The ambiance certainly does not match the food. We started with the guava chili chicken wings. They looked wonderful on the plate but when you bit into them, the chicken tasted as if it was boiled and then dipped in the marinade. Chicken wings should have some "crunch" factor to them. These were soggy. The Caprese flatbread was soaked in balsamic and was also soggy. The spicy tuna roll was the only appetizer worth eating.
For dinner we ordered the Schzewuan shrimp salad, Seared tuna salad and Mahi Tacos.
The shrimps on the salad were nicely cooked and had a little tang. The seared tuna was cooked perfectly but the salad itself was lacking. It tasted like those bagged chopped (cabbage) salads from Publix and the dressing was tasteless. Our friends said the tacos were okay. On the bright side, our service was excellent and as always, love hanging out in their beautiful outdoor sitting areas. Maybe I'll just go for the view and drinks and skip the food.
"Mother's Day fiasco" is what I would call it!
I had reservations set for 12:30 and did not sit down until 1:30/1:45. From what I was told by the host, they had a party of 80 people that were occupying 16 tables which caused a delay in seating other parties with reservations.
I was completely annoyed and frustrated!
My party and I finally sat down outside and there was a sworn of black bugs everywhere which made it extremely complex to enjoy the food. I requested to be moved inside, and to my surprise, we were moved within 5 minutes. Unfortunately, in the next 5 minutes, we were approached by another host and waiter who advised that the seats were taken and we would have to move. Again, adding to my frustration!
We were moved once again but this time, for good. I requested to speak to the manager Mark who was outstanding! His demeanor was awesome and he was extremely approachable.
Besides the exhausting delay, bugs and playing musical chairs, my experience at Shooters was once again enjoyable.
This was my second time attending Shooters and they definitely did not disappoint! We were seated within 5 mins of arriving. The menu options were great. I tried the chicken and waffles this time since I had the unlimited brunch on my previous visit and Boy was it delicious! The view of the waterfront is certainly an added bonus as well as the live band!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!
This was one of the greatest experience I've had eating at a restaurant. Wanted to switch things up for date night with the lady, we where getting restless with the regular sit in dining. Shooters outside tables right next to the waterfront with the occasional taxi boat docking to shore, outside entertainment, great service (she was awesome btw). Notice I haven't even mentioned the food yet....it's a must see, must experience for yourself type of thing. Ps. Must try the key lime pie, it's true there is art in food.
This place is alright but not amazing. Been twice and the first time the portion of couscous and salmon was for a toddler... The second time the short rib tacos were messy and bland...the sushi was alright not super...the waitress was training someone and her tact while taking our order was a little off (semi-rude)...the cocktails were good but for the price (which actually isn't too bad) ive had better at chain-restaurants...
Great place to be on a sunny Florida afternoon. Paced ourselves with our appetizers and main meal. Ate 8 different plates, just to give the afternoon a slow, tranquil pace. Typical fare, calamari, coconut shrimp. Neither great or bad. Just enough to enjoy the view. What could have been a perfect afternoon, food wise, got side track with the last entree of the meal. The kitchen Must have lost their touch! Steak and tamarind sauce turned into tamarind soups with meat under it. Very disappointed. Service was great, Zanna I believe, great job. Didn't complain to the manager. Short on time. By then, not hungry any more. Presentation was bad for this plate. My second visit, wife's third. 50/50 I'll be back!
Place is gorgeous. Nice waterfront view. The food however for me was not great. I ordered steak and eggs and both where dry. Never had dry eggs before. Also hostess are not very nice. I understand it is busy but they represent the restaurant and are the first part of the experience people receive when they come in.
We made reservations 4 days before arriving. We got stuck by the kitchen while other tables were open and available. I refused the table the hostess wasn't terribly pleased, but took me back to the front. Within 10 minutes, we had a better table. Good food and decent service. Pretty view!
The food was great, the service was outstanding. I will definitely be going back. I visited for lunch, next time I will be going back for dinner. I dined outside and took a beating from the sun. I loved the experience though. Great ambiance, great spot for dates, and special occasions.
Best make a reservation to get the seating you want, free valet parking please tip accordingly, friendly hostess to greet you, we had perfect seating on the waterfront, Our waiter Andre was excellent and helpful and great, service was excllent by Alex, food was super tasty and hot and delicious lollipop lamb chops, cajun schrimp fettuccine pasta, cashew crusted mahi, drinks were great huricane and margarita, cheesecake. We were an vacay. Had a great time.
I have been to this restaurant before and sat inside but close to the window. We had a great experience. This time I was disspointed because my boyfriend and I had made reservations and requested to sit outside. The hostess asked if inside was ok and I nicely explained that I requested outside. She was very rude and told me requests don't mean a guarantee ( which I already knew) and proceeded to tell me, with an attitude, it would be an hour wait for an outside table. We took the inside table which was the furthest away from the waterfront view. The only reason we decided to come to this restaurant was for the view. Our waiter was great and explained to us that there was a huge event outside and they took up most of the outdoor space, which was completely understandable. This restaurant could have handled this situation better. I would have appreciated if they had called me and said that the outside table would not be possible due to a large party that night. Due to the rudeness of the hostess and the disorganization of Shooters, I would not come back.
I'm a huge fan of Shooters. When friends come into town Shooters has it all. It has atmosphere, wonderful good, great waitstaff. I do suggest if there's big parties that have areas roped off like outside by the water you let folks know when calling for reservations that there will be no outside seating. I was a bit disappointed when I arrived that there was no dining outside. We had a wonderful night, but your outside dining at night makes a difference. I will be back. Thank you, Patti
As a frequent customer for this restaurant, I was totally disappointed, especially because we were entertaining guests. First, I had a reservation through open table, and when I walked in the door, the two women behind the desk were having a conversation. After waiting for a few minutes, I finally interrupted and asked if they worked here. They unapologetically seated us. Then as if they fired the entire kitchen staff, the food was terrible in addition to taking a long time to be served. All four of us were disappointed, especially the Jumbo Crab Cake which advertised lump crab meat. It was anything but jumbo and the crab was like tuna salad. The calamari and the salmon were overdone. Such a departure from the usual experience at this restaurant, I had to wonder if something major was wrong. The valet server and the waitress were excellent.
