Shooters Waterfront Ratings and Reviews
Went for a dinner with my wife (and our 4-month old son), we ordered roasted beat salad as a starter, she ordered fish and chips and I ordered florida black grouper, we took the Caribbean bread pudding flan for desert, everything tasted just fantastic! Our server (Jordan) was a very nice and helpful guy! Would give 6 stars and an A++, would definitely recommend!
I have written several reviews over the years for Shooters. This one will not be as glowing as my past experiences.
First of all the food is consistently wonderful, the view is magical at night especially with the mega yachts cruising past on the Intercoastal Waterway.
My only problem is that it has become TOO popular! Make reservations and still you may have to wait. The Hostess staff does a remarkable job contenting with the throngs of people all wanting to be seated immediately.
If you like their Happy Hour, get there early or go in the off season. They do have 3 large bars which are full before 5 o'clock. But when you do get a seat at the bar, you will probably be sitting next to happy vacationers that offer fun conversations that make your table wait bearable.
I assume that because of the large crowd this might have caused our server to miss a request or two.
All in all, I still love this restaurant. I only wish everyone else did not also.
Took my husband last night as a pre-valentine's dinner. From the moment we arrived, everything was great. I made a reservation for 730pm, arrived a few minutes late, my table was not ready but they showed me to the bar, and by the time I got my first drink, my table was ready ;) Perfect!
My table was outside, right by the water. Spectacular view. My waitress was Maria, She was Great, very attentive and sweet. The food was fenomenal and over all my experience was amazing. I will definitely be coming back.
Very busy spot with long waits even with a reservation. However our Open Table reservation was held and we were seated right on time. We arrived early and too advantage of a great happy hour. My husband and I split the Roasted Beet Salad and the Frutti Di Mare. Both were delicious and large servings. We even had leftovers! Service was crisp and professional and we did not feel rushed.
Shooters Ft Lauderdale is such a beautiful spot. There are different bars/tables to accommodate whatever mood one is seeking.
Our server Brent was terrific. Leisurely drinks and taking some time to order was no bother to him! He knew the menu well and helped us decide what to order.
Everyone’s food was exceptional- from raw oysters to scallops to grouper. All was delicious
Angela (I think that was her name!) was amazing! My husband and I are on our baby moon and I ordered a seltzer water and she brought it out like it was a wine bottle and pretended it was alcohol. I know that sounds cheesy but I seriously appreciated it. All of her recommendations were great! My only craving during pregnancy thus far has been milk, and she brought me milk in a wine glass :) we never had to look for her, she was very attentive. She is what any server should aim to be like. I hope she’s there next year when we come back with our little one cause we will definitely be requesting her.
Also just want to throw in there how amazing the food was; the sushi was excellent, the flatbread was perfect and my fish and chips were to die for. My husband got the scallops and said they were the best ever. And our dessert the peanut butter pie bar was the perfect end to our perfect day!
This is a beautiful restaurant but the experience at the hostess stand when you first arrive is rather unpleasant. The ladies there are somewhat rude and they had a SWAT guy hanging out in full gear behind the hostess desk which was really strange for a place like this. Then some other guys arrived and were hanging out behind hostess stand as well. It just made me feel like something was wrong or that we should be worried about security. It’s also a bad look overall, in my opinion.
The rest of our experience was great. Nice food, nice bartender and waitress.
Always been a fan of Shooters! My boyfriend and I make it a priority to stop by when we visit Fort Lauderdale. As always the food was amazing and Kyle our waiter was pleasant and inviting! He even had the bar make a seasonal drink that wasn’t on the menu but is one of my favorites. Overall Shooters is always consistent with their service and their overall dining experience. Customer for life!
I order s soup starter and my husband order coconut shrimps. Neither starter was served, so when our mains courses came we asked what happened. A few minutes minutes later the manager came and asked if we wanted them served ... after we had started out main course. When we informed him no he asked if wanted them removed from our bill which we thought was a ludicrous question. When the bill came we were charged for came we did not have. We took friends from out of town with us and the entire evening was ruined.
Waiting over 20 minutes after our reservation to be seated when place was not full is not a good start when entertaining visitors from out of town. The front desk told me it would only be a few minutes but proceeded to sit people who arrived after us, only to find that she texted me that the table was ready, but I didn't have my cell phone and she didn't explain that's their notification method when we checking in. Food was fine to very good. Asian shrimp salad was ordered by 2 guests who loved it and the Florida grouper was modified at my request without potatoes and sauce on the side -- all delicious! But the service was quite slow. Asked for a second glass of wine, which didn't come until after the entree was nearly done, as well as table salt, pepper and water which took forever. Ambience is great, but the restaurant was half empty (including all outdoor space) so really no excuse for slow service.
Took over an hour to get our meals and we had to ask for an update. Waitress was not bad but we had to seek her out. Did her job but nothing above basics so I would not say the service was great. Minimal interaction from her. We had a reservation and had to wait 20 mns for our table. Decided to go the bar and service here was great. Our meals we just ok. I miss the Chart House.
