Shokudo Ratings and Reviews
Miami doesn’t seem to be a goody town. This place is off the beaten path. Our waiter was professional and attentive. I tend to like sashimi and crudo, my ItAlian dinner companion not so much. We had a really good 15 year old
Pw folds Sirah priced at a few dollars less than Vivino. We had rolls. I had very good sashimi. Service was really attentive and engaged. I’d eat here again in a heartbeat
Authentic Asian food and flavors, prepared with the same high level of care as you would expect as if the chef and owner were inviting you to a special meal at their home. Always impresses and never disappoints! And, as frequent diners, we recommend trying as many different plates as possible, and return often!!!
Definitively a big positive surprise. High quality and really fresh ingredients used. The Sushi and Sashimi combination was superb. For the appetizer try the Fois gras Dumpling and the Chashu Pork Bun...excellent. Super friendly and attentive service. Finally, the Clobber is definitively a must...
Food and Service excellent!
But everything turn into a bad experience when the people of the table next to us started smoking. The restaurant didn't want to help, and said they wasn't t able to ask them to stop smoking. At the end we end our food as soon as we could and we left.
Unbelievable cuisine that elegantly brings together various specialty dishes that are well known within various Asian countries that maintains their traditional and authentic flavors, while offering a contemporary twist. This restaurants is a perfect fit for those looking for traditional Asian cuisine and for those looking for a fusion and creative spin. Cocktail were amazing and the staff was unbelievable. Koodos to the bartender as he new his stuff, both cocktail wise and the details of the menu. Definitely a go to spot on my visits.
Fantastic food and service. Will become one of our standards. Great tartare, sushi and eggplant dishes. Pad Thai was one of the best !!!
Orange chicken was amazing and the rolls were fantastic. Great Japanese whisky selection.
Amazing place and great service. !!!!
The food is delicious, the Octopus, the momo, all the dishes....But the service needs a little bit of improvement. The waiter we had was helping both inside and outside parts of the restaurant and didn't come by for a while after we finished our meal, when we were ready to order dessert.
This is our go-to neighborhood restaurant. The food is great and the ambience is lovely, inside and out. Great outdoor area and bar in back. Standout dishes are hamachi jalapeño roll, grilled octopus on sweet potato, shrimp and chive dumplings, chow fun. Solid sake list. And the owner Yoko is just lovely. Hughly recommend this place!
The menu has a selection of the best plates of the south-east Asia and a wide variety of Japanesse food, sushi is great, with the right amout of rice (little) with a loose consitency (enough to hold it with the chopsticks withouth breaking it apart), the ingridients are fresh and tastefull.
We tried more than 12 different items and all of them were really good. The grilled octopus (special) and the hamachi jalapeno were outstanding.
So I wanted sushi and I wasn't sure what they had in the area so I went to OpenTable and I found this late night spot and when I got there I had made a reservation. The Hostess was very nice and friendly, she sat us down very quickly and everything was off to great start. Then after that I waited almost 15 to 20 minutes for someone to actually come to take our order and give us waters. The server was horrible not attentive and he never refilled our cups. The food took forever to come out and the sushi came out after the hot foods; which was ridiculous. The food portions were so small and incredibly high in price. I know it's Miami but the food they are serving is not worth the amount you're paying for. Would never go back.
