   I desperately want to give this place an excellent review, but I cannot. First, our orders were incorrect, especially the one for our toddler. He was not happy. Next, three other tables who arrived after us (by 15 min) received similar meals as we did. The waitress seemed stressed and not sure of our order. We asked several times and were told soon. We finally got our meal- one person at a time. Mine came 10 minutes before anyone else, then two more meals, and the last adult one 5 minutes afterwards. Our little nuggets was forgotten and needed to be made making it another 5-7 minutes before he got his. The place has potential, but at this time, we will not be going back.

   The food was delicious as always but our server was lacking today. It was a long wait between ordering drinks and him coming back to take our main order we had to flag him down. Then my order was missing an item that I asked about and it never came. He refilled one person’s drink order at the table but didn’t bother to ask the rest of us we had to ask him as he was walking away. In general just not best service this time

   We love shoes every time we go. Indoor or outdoor dining, but especially in the secret garden. Kid friendly, our 18 month old loves it. Also recently went with a friend who can’t have gluten and learned that it’s extremely GF friendly. Separate fryers and everything.

   Server went beyond typical expectations. In addition to being attentive during meals, he provided rain ponchos for us. A sudden rain storm and anticipation of walk to parking garage motivated him to design a very efficient rain poncho from garbage bags.

   I was seated next to a speaker, making our conversation level much louder. We asked to move to a different table, which was taken care of quickly. Our server was amazing, actually all the staff were polite and helpful. Definitely going back.

    We were disappointed in most every part of our experience since the restaurant had such good ratings. Service was very slow to begin but once he made contact he was attentive. The food was average -except the mustard vinaigrette which was great.

    I love a brunch menu that embraces an eggs benedict, and you're spoiled for choice here. Food was excellent, drinks were great and the upstairs dining room was really lovely for lunch with my friends. Absolutely recommend and will return!

    Loved the drinks and food. Our waitress was attentive, energetic and kind. Had the Bellini and salmon entree and the meal was delicious and huge, so bring your appetite! Would definitely recommend.

    Very quaint place but their systems need some work. It really should not take 15 minutes from the time drinks are ordered to receiving them. Additionally, biscuits & gravy, and a tuna sandwich should not take 45 minutes to get to the table. Food was good once it arrived

    We did not stay and eat so I cannot comment on the food. Though we had a reservation we were seated at a narrow window bar (not a table) that was also a busy corridor. It was so loud and we were so tightly crammed in that we left without ordering.

    We enjoy the secret garden and good very much. The service is usually very attentive however last night was a bit off and unusually slow and inattentive. The evening was not as pleasant and enjoyable as usual due to young kids being unsupervised at the bocce ball court. They were throwing the heavy balls overhand often and they came out of the court fairly often and hit our table on multiple occasions. Two dads came and joined once and used a ketchup bottle from one of the tables as the target ball since that was missing. The boys threw that and one of the other customers caught it as it hit their umbrella. The dads did not say a word and left the boys to go back to their table. The parents were under the tented area and had no interest in supervising or checking on the group of young boys. We enjoy the garden but would hesitate if staff didn’t jump in to help next time.

    We had a large party of 7 for a birthday. Service was friendly and attentive. The outdoor seating was so cozy and relaxing. The brunch was super yummy, and all the food was fresh and warm.

    Francisco was awesome. Went over and above to accommodate a request, great attitude and smile the whole time. Truffle fries were perfection as usual. Roasted brussels sprouts the same. Black bean burger was ok, but it's beans you know? You can only do so much to play pretend, and the cooks did a fantastic job. Great vibe, nice and low key even with the flower festival outside and prom night. Will definitely be back again.

    The is the second year we've made reservations during the Leesburg Garden Festival and both times have been wonderful experiences. We were seated immediately and service was friendly and prompt. The rear garden is such a wonderful setting and so beautifully set up. Our food and drinks were delicious.

    Tried to have a business meeting over breakfast. I requested a table in a quiet section of the restaurant, which for the 1st 15 minutes of our arrival it was then two large loud parties were seated right next to us. However I will return with my wife I did enjoy the food and ambiance.

    We’d never been to Leesburg so had no idea what to expect. Go eat here. Spectacular service, the food choices are plentiful, and everything was delicious. We went for the muffin basket, substituting a raspberry white chocolate scone got one muffin. Worth every, single, calorie, people! I lived to ranchers scramble with goat cheese & bacon as suggested by my server. Their potatoes are incredible. You’ll get A LOT of food, so go hungry. My husband pronounced the avocado toast fabulous.

    If you don't like noise don't go to Shoe's. A table of 6 women came in for brunch that created so much noise I had to yell for my wife to hear me. We just quickly ate what was left of our food and left. Shoe's needs to find a place upstairs for loud/potentially loud tables. I am all for having fun however this table took over the restaurant with their noise. Unacceptable and unless Shoe's finds a solution we will not be going back.
