the food was good all though the selection was much smaller then in past years
The menu was not up to date on their website, which was a little disappointing once we got to the restaurant. Overall, the options they did provide were great and the food was delicious. Service was very fast and this was a very quiet restaurant for a nice romantic meal. I definitely plan to return.
Great service!! Waitress was the best of the best! We will be back!
We went there on a Saturday night with my daughter and BF. We wanted a table by the water but all were already taken. The room is very quiet and comfy. Food was enjoyed by all, we had salmon, a bolongese (sp) dish, pork chop, and rib eye. Everyone was satisfied. Apps were good, and a very nice wine there I would recommend, Tom Gore cabernet.
All in all a very nice evening.
Very nice, all our small plates were tasty and we shared a generous pasta bolognese that was delicious . Was there for a conference and some old college friends met us there for wonderful dinner. Attentive friendly service
Nice place with a view. Restaurant was pretty empty when we went, but that made it nice and quiet and relaxing. Server was very attentive. Food was very good, although prices were a little steep.
The food was pretty good, nothing noteworthy, but the service was quite attentive. We had a nice table, nice view. The restaurant needs some serious interior maintenance, but if we looked past the shabbiness and had a lovely brunch.
We had a wonderful time, the food was very good, the portions were larger than expected for a fine dining restaurant. There were not very many people at the restaurant when we went at 6:30 on Saturday. The total bill for 6 people, with wine, appetizers and tip came to $220.00. We would definitely go again.
3 of us ordered ribeye steaks. First few bits on one end were excellent. As we got into the steak, it became tougher and tougher. Same for all three of us. We ordered aujus...no help. All three of us ended up with at least a third if the steak remaining. No one took it home.
So many better choices for less money. Bypass hotel chain restaurants.
We had a great experience. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere - I would fully recommend this gem in the suburbs.
Service was slow people
My husbands steak was not cooked properly and fatty
After the wait he didn't want to send it back
Service very good and friendly. Food was a little better than average. View of water and surrounding grounds is lovely and peaceful.
The waitress was great and gave us recommendations on the food and very helpful
Best for celebrations and dinners with family, great ambience, staff makes u feel very comfortable and cuisine is amazing. Definitely worth visiting again.
Our early Sunday evening dinner was lovely. Our waiter was attentive, but not intrusive. The food was good, the view is very nice and we will be back again.
Limited menu and expensive. Quality of food was marginal.
Great food and friendly service. Nice views and relaxing and romantic setting. Food is well prepared and good portions.
Have dined at Shiraz several times. The food is excellent, although the menu has been shortened considerably since the last time we dined here. For such good food and scenic view, we were the only ones in the restaurant at 7:30! Was kind of creepy to be there in this huge eating area with no else around! Maybe some extra advertising and specials would bring in a Friday night crowd. Had the salmon and it was very, very good! Our guests also enjoy the pasta choices they ordered and the salad was outstanding.
Service was horrible! Gave this restaurant a second chance first time food good and service was horrible than too!! Waiting over 20 minutes for server to even cone over to ask we wanted drinks. Took 20 to 30 minutes to arrive!! , waiting that for glass wine than salad than food, server even come to check on you wave them down each time. Food was cold and tasteless ! Complain to server, her response was they have a new cook and handed me the bill!! Very expensive night I add. Never gave them two tries wasted a lot of for bad service food.
We have gone back for brunch many, many times, and it has never disappointed.
Was much better the last time that we were there. Two of us sent our steak back because it was over cooked. Requested medium rare they were well done. Baked potato was warm not hot. Vegetables were too salty to eat. Service was very good probably because the restaurant was close to being empty. One guest said that his salmon was good. It tasted exactly like the salmon that he buys from Costco. The appetizers were OK but not worth the money. The overall dining experience was too expensive for what we got. No one in our group will go back.
Our server, I wish I could remember her name was so sweet, helpful and very prompt. She also was our bartender!
We choose to work on Sunday and celebrate once the crowds die down. I have stayed at the Hotel before and wanted to visited the restaurant. So I read alot of reviews. I mostly read the bad ones to see if it could be an isolated incident. So we choose to make a reservation and we were the only people dining in, there were three people at the bar eating. The grilled shrimp (4) were great, so we order another order. I had the short ribs he had a filet mignon, we both enjoyed our meals service was wonderful but we were the only ones there. We left with a bill of approx. $125 with a drink and desserts. I love a great deal so if the price was lower I would love it more but its not to bad. I don't remember anything on the menu of $30. So not a bad night. So I would recommend this place to other and I have. As a travel agent I look for certain things when visiting places. I would like to know if they have valet at the restaurant door for busy nights and or for older or disable people. But overall we had a wonderful time.
Good was very good, ambiance very nice , service wasn't that great
The violinist was amazing and
It was a lovely experience with great ambience, good food and service
We shared a nice meal and were very happy with our service. The view of the pond outside the restaurant added to our experience.
Wonderful place. Great grilled shrimp appetizer with quaqamole and salsa type veggies. I had the large filet mignon cooked to perfection and GF had petit filet mignon cooked to perfection both medium rare. My baked potato could have been Warmer. I ordered it loaded and those sides came along on plate for me to add. GF'S wild rice was great. Waitresses timing was perfect throughout the evening along with water service. Much better than Harvest at Pheasant Run.
The waiter was not personal at all. He came out with the kids food 10 minutes earlier than ours. He also got my drink order wrong and ordered me a vodka instead of a vodka and soda. The overall look of the place was poor. For the price, the food needs to be better.
We dined on a slow night and got the impression that we had staff that was not experienced. My husband ordered tea but was not given a cup nor was there any sweetener on the table. long after the tea arrived. We ordered 2 appetizers but only one was served - the waitress misunderstood our order. The menu was confusing. The 3rd column indicated that entrees included a salad and side dish, but the center column, which included similarly-priced entrees showed nothing about inclusions, so we asked the waitress. She explained that only the 3rd column included the extras, but did not sound sure of herself . She said the center column did include a choice of rice/potato but there was no mention of it, so it seemed as if she winged it. My husband's entree was disappointing and he found a small wire in it, which seemed to be from a wine bottle. The waitress was apologetic and did comp the late 2nd appetizer and his entree, which was the right thing to do. We tried Shiraz because of previous good experiences when it was under a different name, but we will not return.
Food was good. Service was a little slow and wait staff a little confused.ushroom Flatbread was best dish of the night.
Even though the it was fairly empty the server never stopped by our table. The manager came by once and took our drink order and said the server would be by sometime soon. We waited 20 minutes and then left. The drinks showed up as we were leaving.
We booked an informal reunion at the resort and given this restaurant was the only dining option we selected it. I was pleasantly surprised how elegant it was with beautiful scenic views from any table. The good was very good and our service was great! Thanks to our server, Vicki, for taking such good care of us!
Even though our server was very attentive, the decor was tired, the menu lackluster and the wine list disappointing. Will not go back....
Warm and inviting... wonderfully romantice says the wife. With less than an hour to eat and be back in our room for a conference call, the service was quick. Surprisingly quick. We ordered the warm steak salad (medium rare...perfection) fishermen's bisque, potatoes au gratin, and fish cakes. All were good size portions maybe too good as we didn't have room for dessert. Hands down the best restaurant that experienced on our short stay in Bloomingdale.
We had our anniversary dinner at Shiraz on the water and I would highly recommend it. Great food and great atmosphere.
Food was very good, certainly much better than service.
My husband chose this place for our 49th wedding anniversary. We live in the area but hadn't been here in years. He wanted something romantic, quiet and with a view. It was all that and the food was out of this world. The baked French onion soup was fantastic and the filets were perfectly medium rare as ordered. The waitress was very good and did not rush us through our cocktails ( which also were excellent) as some places are prone to. We definitely will be frequenting Shraz in the future. Thank you for such a memorable evening.
Even though most had reservations, the restaurant was unprepared for a full dining room. Food was good, but it took an insanely long time to even get a server to the table. Dinner for 4 people (with no dessert) took almost 2 1/2 hours.
