   We had to wait a bit, but it was a busy day for them. The service and food were very good! We hadn't been there in a while and the back room was bright and cheery! We had a very enjoyable meal!

   We had a 5PM reservation the food did not come out until 7PM and came out not all at the same time. Food was not very warm. Very disappointing for the price and they did not offer to comp anything said the kitchen was short staffed.

   Many positive improvements since Chef Irvine’s visit. Wonderful renovations, excellent service, delicious menu. We had a very satisfying Mother’s Day! In particular, the lobster bisque and brie appetizer (with green goddess and balsamic tomatoes) are PHENOMENAL.

   We were there for Mothers Day Brunch. We both had the Eggs Benedict with Maryland Crabcake. Let me start with the crab cake was very good, was the star of the dish and the only reason you got 2 stars for the food. Garrett, our server, clearly seemed like he didn't want to be there. When our eggs finally came out they were not poached but more like hard boiled. No runny yolk at all. There wasn't even enough Hollandaise sauce to moisten the English Muffin. In the description it should have have onion and avocado of which there was none. When Garrett came back to ask how the meal was and I told him the eggs were over cooked he did not seem pleased that we were sending these back. Hw came back with the same plates we sent back, and I am assuming same English muffins as well, but with new eggs. Our new eggs were still way over cooked and COLD. COLD like right out of the fridge cold. How does that happen unless you poached the eggs the night before? Your $12.00 Bloody Mary was sad with a mediocre Bloody Mary mix with a stalk of celery. A lime wedge would have been a nice touch or maybe even an olive for that price. If you are going to do a brunch you should have someone in the kitchen that can poach an egg or don't put them on the menu.

   Unfortunately, this was a bad experience. We took our 95-year-old mom to dinner to celebrate Mother’s Day. We had a 5:30 PM reservation and our food did not arrive until 7:30 PM. We had to send back the fillet mignon. A salmon plate was undercooked. The server was working so hard and she blamed the delay and the quality of the food on a lack of staff. While we felt sorry for the server, this restaurant is not recommended.

   Impact of Restaurant Impossible is still apparent at The Ship Inn. Ambience is casual and inviting, service was attentive, dinner and dessert were delicious, and owner is supportive of his talented chef. Great date night.

   My quesadilla was good, not great but the coffee and dessert were excellent. It was a little drafty sitting by the patio window but very nice restaurant interior, comfortable.

    It was just OK. Service was rushed and not attentive. Never offered bread, second drink or even refill of water. Fairly noisy, thought we would be seated in the quaint inn. All seating was in a bright white over lit area that felt like a cafeteria. Had not been to ship inn in years and will not return. Not what it used to be.
