Another fantastic dining experience. Friday 6:30pm reservations, restaurant was busy, seated promptly. Friendly staff. Great food, must try their Special Sushi Roll. Our waitress Brittany was most attentive. Enjoyable meal.
It was a great experience. And the food is to good!
There was hair in my sushi they comped the sushi but I feel like they should’ve comped the whole meal because of the hair
Overall the food and service was good, the server was attentive and our food came without delay. However when we looked at the dessert menu, it was dirty and sticky, it made me wonder if the kitchen was just as dirty. When I informed the server, I was told " I think someone was cleaning them today!" wow those things should be cleaned on a daily basis. I went right to the restroom to wash my hands. Very disappointed, I don't know if I will be back.
The food and the ambiance at Shinto have always been great. However, we went there last Sunday and were disappointed with the service. Shinto was very understaffed in the sushi lounge. We would see our waiter every 20 minutes or so and have to wait even longer for our food and drink orders. Our waiter was friendly, but he was very brief with us. We were celebrating my birthday and my wife had to tell our waiter three times that it was my birthday. He just said that the kitchen was backed up. My wife had to apologize to me about the long wait on my surprise birthday treat as we were both looking to leave by the time it finally arrived. Shinto has had a good track record, but last Sunday was poor.
The food is great. The only thing they should improve is their hibachi cooks training. Or have more cooks on staff. Our cook looked so tired …. and it was just around 4PM..
You have to try the calamari and sushi was very good
Great food and chef. Service was slow, we were there for business lunch and it took over an hour. Also were trying to celebrate a birthday, but they did nothing special.
Wonderful place, I was greeted by wonderful hosts and had a great server who made sure we were okay during our whole dinner. The chef was wonderful and fun yet professional in his craft. The dining experience was top entertainment, nothing like good food and a show! It was amazing that one restaurant can perfect good cooking and good rolls of sushi, both were amazing options to take and left a party in your mouth.
We went for the Naperville Restaurant Week nenu. The food was abundant, very good, almost too much (it WAS too much for my wife), and a good bargain (were it not for Restaurant Week, the ssme food would have cost quite a bit more). The service and "entertainment" were also top notch.
Food was a bit salty tonight. Need to use les salt
The sashimi was great and the seaweed salad is worth the visit by itself.
Has turned into a family dining establishment. Appears a little worn. Staff singing Happy Birthday every 10 minutes. Don't think we will be back for a date night. Sushi still okay. Staff very friendly and attentive.
All about Shinto!!
We went in a Wednesday and the food did not taste fresh at all. I also don’t like that the chick in the fried rice is already cooked- it tastes weird. Everything else was good
