Shine Ratings and Reviews
We just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to try out "SHINE" The service was spectacular- the hostess who seated us as well as the waiter were fantastic and welcoming. We had a table indoors but the wall opened up to the side walk so it was like being outside/ Great ambience and decor. Very light and airy. I had a great signature roll- spicy tuna/avocado/ cream cheese. It was beautifully presented and tasted great! My husband ordered the "morsels" chicken dish was delicious- perfectly cooked bite sized pieces of tender white meat chicken in a delicious, spicy sauce. The brown rice was cooked perfectly. The hot and sour soup was very good- with a slight lemon grass taste that made it fresh and different. The staff made us feel welcomed and we can't wait to visit again.
Lovely atmosphere with comfortable tables widely spaced, and a relaxed, quite ambience. Friendly service really aiming to please. Delicious fresh food in large portions, nicely seasoned. Many vegetarian options for us. We really enjoyed it and plan to go back.
I went here for a date on a Wednesday nigh since my significant other is vegetarian it was one of the best places to go to for vegetarian options. I had the sushi and it was fresh and fantastically tasty. My date enjoyed her meal as well as the wine. The service was very attentive and polite from the greeter, server, to the help. The price is fair since it is a Japanese Restaurant. I would go back to this restaurant multiple times. Thank you for the wonderful first experience!
My review title is clever... :)
But in all seriousness, Shine was a great sushi restaurant. I have been to their sister location, 'Rise', which also provides a great dining experience. I recommend both of these restaurants for casual dinners or even a solid date spot
Shine has both Japanese and Chinese cuisine, and we tried some of both. We had one of their special sushi rolls and Tempura for appetizers. The roll was well made and flavorful. The Tempura was crisp and tasty. Our main courses, which were Chinese fare, were also very tasty and well prepared, and were good size servings. With the appetizers, two dishes were sufficient for three people, with a little left over to take home. I will definitely return to Shine again.
