Our wine list is the recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Breakfast is a daily event with multiple creative entrees to choose from. Next door, the Pub is English in style, while pub grub and decor offer a distinctly American twist. The elegant dining room and stained glass Inglenook with its overstuffed chairs are the perfect place for a couple desiring a romantic setting or a group out to enjoy each others company. Live music is a weekly feature on our grand piano. Special events are often planned, including wine dinners, tasting events and afternoon teas. We love this place. David is a culinary genius. The bar is always great with great bartenders. Breakfasts come with the hotel stays with lots of options. The first breakfast I had was biscuits and gravy. This was different than any biscuits and gravy I've ever had and they were spectacular. The second breakfast I had was the hang town fry. Oysters I love em. For dinner I had a double order of pan fried oysters...wonderful. My wife had the crab ravioli she loved em.

Way to expensive for the dishes that were offered. I think they are taking advantage of being the only "nice" restaurant in the area. Waiter dropped the ball a couple of times. Also, made a reservation on Open Table and noted it was my husbands birthday, and told the waiter also, and received no free birthday dessert or just candle on the dessert we did order and pay for.

I love this place and go there very often for Breakfast, Lunch and in the Pub with good local beer and wine and they serve there too with nice crafted fresh local food. They raise their own herbs too. David the owner is always there to service too and what a great humor and friend he is. Every one there is freindly and accomodating. The hotel is great, you have to go see the rooms for they are open to look see. Each is individual and set to a cuzy period with history and antiques and the most comfortable beds. This is a couples romantic Inn. Just down a staircase from upper rooms or the lower rooms, you can enter the bar or setting room to read or just hag out or go into the dinning room. This is a Home Type environment Inn. THIS IS A GEM>>>

Service was good, food was not. The seafood chowder was more like a watered down, bland curry. The olive oil that came with the bread tasted like burnt nastiness. The crab Ravioli was also watery and bland. The steak with blue cheese that my lady ordered was flavorful, but it hardly made up for the test of the meal. Definitely does not justify the prices they charge here. Never going to return, not impressed at all.

Most of our visits to Long Beach include a dinner at Shelburne Inn, and sometimes the pub as well. We've enjoyed many visits with David over the years, but didn't get to talk with him this time.

On this most recent visit, there was something lacking. It might have been that our table of 9 was placed in the no-mans land between the restaurant and pub. It might have been the little plastic piece in my drink which didn't seem to bother the servers at all. It might have been the lack of "caring" about the food being served. We had attentive service from the 3 different waitstaff working between the pub and restaurant, but it all felt rushed, like we were an afterthought (oh, yeah...can you check on that table in the other room?). Our drinks were good. The food was good. It was all just missing that little extra that we'd come to associate with the Shelburne. We will definitely eat there again on our next visit, but hope for something more like prior visits.

David, the owner, was very pleasant, humorous, attentive, and interesting to talk with. The food was excellent as was the ambience. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the experience. We will return there next year when we vacation on the Long Beach peninsula.

Wonderful restaurant. We loved everything. We had a great table with excellent service. The cocktails were wonderful. The music was lovely. The food! My husband had cioppino and said it was the BEST he's ever had and he is a connoisseur of cioppino. I had black cod simmered in a curry sauce, delicious. We didn't have room for dessert. Only suggestion would be the table could have benefited from a period relevant vase and fresh flowers.

Before my husband past away, we would occasionally stop at the Shelburne Restaurant and Pub for a nice lunch. They never failed to meet or exceed our expectations. Since he has past, I now bring friends to the Long Beach Peninsula for a weekend stay. Whenever we are looking for somewhere nice to eat that also has great service and wonderful food, we end up at the Shelburne Restaurant and Pub. After all these years, it still rises to the top of the list as a great place to dine when in Long Beach, WA.

We had a wonderful Mothers Day/Anniversary Brunch at the Shelburne Restaurant today. The Crab Ravioli was loaded with succulent meat and covered with flavorful bechamel sauce and cooked perfectly. We also had the Five onion Soup Gratinee which was delicious and made from five varieties of onions making it exceptionally yummy and topped with their homemade bread crouton and Gruyere. The Malted Waffles and the Roasted Turkey Sandwich rounded out our brunch also delicious. We were full, but couldn't pass up some homemade ice cream and chocolate soufflé. What a great meal, exceptional service and atmosphere. We highly recommend coming here for breakfast, lunch or dinner and the Pub is lots of fun too!!!😉

Food was fresh, very tasty, and beautifully served. Well worth the cost. Service was friendly and accommodating.

Had to return the steak because it was slightly overcooked, but the server agreed, apologied, and very professionally handled it. The second one was perfect!

Whenever I'm in Long Beach for business, I like to bring colleagues to the Shelburne Restaurant. The building is a period piece, inside and out, which makes it fun and interesting. The owners keep rotating modern art through the dining room, making it more interesting for those who prefer modern over historical. Service and food quality are uniformly high and the menu, although not as extensive as chain restaurants, always features meat, seafood and vegetarian choices. My best advice: safe room for dessert! They always includes a new take on comfort sweets.

we had reservations for 7pm on a Friday night. As soon as we walked in, the server said she'd been walking around, waiting for us to show up since 4pm. She also said that the restaurant closes at 8. I don't like to rush, so this caught us off guard. This isn't her fault...there just simply hadn't been anyone else there, which made me suspicious from the start. In addition, for a place that had been pushed as "high end", there was no cocktail menu, and the french onion soup and fried cauliflower appetizers were void of flavor (sorry for using all your salt). My date's crab ravioli was lacking crab and the dish's cheese and butter took over what crab there was. That said, I was happy with the cioppino - tons of fish, clams, and squid. Overall, I was disappointed in the ambiance, the appetizers, and the lack of patrons in a place that is really, really cool. It was just a shame.

Place was amazing. Stopped during the day for a cocktail and ended up hanging out for 3 hours drinking, watching football and meeting new interesting people.
Upon leaving we made reservations for dinner that same evening. Antique furniture absolutely stunning. The meal was prepared to perfection with a large wine list.
I recommend and looking forward to visiting again from Seattle.

It used to be a northwest destination restaurant. Sadly the once great menu is now very limited, what we had was good but compared to restaurants in the NW metropolitan areas not in the same league. The service was at best confused.

During our visit to Washington, we spent one night at the Shelburne Inn. We had dinner and breakfast before checking out of the Inn. For dinner, we had an excellent server that worked hard to make our meal very pleasant. The chef came out and spoke to us and asked if we were satisfied with our meal. The salad was fresh and hid homemade dressing was excellent. He told us the ingredients and how it was prepared. The Razor Clams were new to us. The chef explained what they were and how they were prepared. They were excellent. The Cioppino was delicious. Of course, the Key Lime pie was to die for!!

Our breakfast was complimentary, included in our stay at the Inn. For breakfast, we had eggs cooked the way we liked. Being from the South, we missed our grits but his potatoes were excellent. He made the ketchup, preserves, and biscuits. The fruit was so fresh. Our entire dinning experience at Shelburne Inn and Restaurant was just delightful.

Ordered a cocktail before dinner, but it was made incorrectly. I took it back to the bar (our server was too busy with a twelve-top) and told her what when in it (only three ingredients) which she replied "That what was in it. But Ill make it again". I watched her make the second (remake) drink and she grabbed the wrong bottle and pour it in. I stopped her and told her it wasn't the correct liqueur (by name), which, in turn she replied sharply that she would have somebody else make it. 55 min later, An hour and fifteen minutes after arriving I told our bus person to cancel the cocktail and bring a wine list.
A Four-top next to us arrived after our party of three and completed their starters, soups, entrée's and desserts, paid their bill and left before we received our appetizers!

We had dined at the Shelburne a couple years ago so was really eager to relive the experience. We were celebrating a birthday and were very disturbing. The clams were very rubbery and difficult to chew. I found the Cesar salad not up to standard. It was very evident the lettuce was prepackaged. It was wilted and brown at the edges. All in all we have decided the Meal was a flop and we will probably not be coming back.

Excellent! We have been coming down from Vancouver, Canada for two decades to this remarkably intimate Inn and restaurant. Innkeeper David Campiche was, as usual, the most engaging and gracious host (ask him about european art and architecture). We enjoyed fine food and superlative service as usual. The wine selection was daunting but the special wines on sale in either the $20 or $40 range were an exceptional value. We chose a $40 local selection and, not surprisingly, David was able to not only tell us about the Washington state valley it came from, but the history of the vintner's personal connexion to the region. The piano player played beautifully during dinner, making this an unforgettable and romantic experience. Oh, and it was oyster month, so of course the menu included a range of gourmet oyster specials at ridiculously modest prices. We can't wait to return to this very special historic Inn and it's gourmet restaurant.
