Sheila's Place Wine Bar and Cafe
I am so happy I finally was able to enjoy this experience. I would consider this overall and upscale restaurant. Service was amazing, food is top notch. Thanks to our waiter ( believe his name was Mali) for the wine pairing with our meal.
Non descript on the outside, much nicer on the inside. But what makes this place spectacular are the low key/quiet atmosphere, wonderful food and fantastic service.
We went on a Saturday evening and the owners were there working, tending to the management and seating patrons. Also, their son came over and introduced himself. He's the chef creating the edible wonderfulness coming out of the kitchen. Their daughter tends the bar and a younger son buses and kept us fully hydrated. They all had a such a friendly, easy way with the patrons which made the whole evening that much more enjoyable.
Bottoms line . . . I can't wait to go back!
As always, great food, great service and great environment.
The food here never disappoints. Always excellent and creative.
We always find the food and service to be the very best in the area. Over the years we have been going I find that anything on the menue is better than good, more like great! Very nice presentation and value both quality and portions.
It was great I think the owner might have came over not sure it was a lady talk to us if you got the desserts and then brought us a complimentary dessert wine to go with our dessert that was very nice and special definitely will go back
First time at Sheila's; booked online. No problem doing this. Everyone was nice; food great; service great. Glad to have found a new restaurant not far from home.
I don't like chain restaurants; this is NOT a chain!
Manager checked on us several times. Each course was well timed. Took another couple for their first time. Great night!
Another great dinner, the halibut was cooked perfectly and the service was on point.
Food was really tasty, ambiance was nice. Don't ask for anything but wine or beer on accident did that and was not told no other alcohol, just handed a menu, made for an awkward evening. Service was mixed, sometimes great, sometimes weird, felt rushed, not sure I'd go back. It was a long overdue date night with the husband. Wanted to have a nice long relaxing dinner without the kids. Felt like they were in a hurry to move us along, though don't know why.
This is a hidden gem in Camarillo. The food is great, the service excellent and the ambiance perfect for a special occasion or a romantic night out. I had to try their special of wild boar, which was fantastic. Give it a try.
We met old friends and asked for a quiet table which was accommodated. We wanted to talk and catch up and wait staff was attentive but gave us space.
3 of us ordered different pizzas and all were quite good. The fourth had a salad that was deemed delightful.
In all, a very pleasant and satisfying experience.
We thought it was excellent in every way.
Will return soon.
DELIGHTFUL FOOD AND SERVICE
We went to celebrate a special anniversary and we both enjoyed everything about our evening. As their website states: “Sheila’s is Ventura County’s best kept secret for fine dining” and that is so true. We are glad we finally tried Sheila’s and definitely will be returning.
The wine list is outstanding and we had bottle that is hard to find. Pablo, the owner, took such great care of us all night. We shared the pear salad which was wonderful. I had the scallop entrée which was delicious and my HH had the duck which he thoroughly enjoyed. Pablo also made sure all of my food was gluten free which I so appreciated.
So was fabulous. Service was great very attentive. We brought a bottle of wine & bought a bottle of Ramey delish. Great selection of great wine. Will go back!
As always Sheila’s was awesome. Outstanding food and great service.
I mentioned to two individuals that it was my friends birthday, however, that fact was completely ignored. Very disappointing.
Wonderful find. Great decor, fabulous ambience, popular venue. Extensive wine menu, some amazing local wine choices something for every budget. The menu offered a great choice of different tastes and flavors for all palates
Service outstanding, had a marvelous experience and will come back again and again and again
I have heard of Sheila's for years. For a friend's luncheon we wanted to go to a wine bar since our day trip to Santa Ynez wine country was cancelled due to the rain and mud slides. Service, ambience and food were extremely good! We would definitely come back.
Outstanding wine selection, excellent food and good service. Sheila's is a great choice for a nice dinner. A family owned and operated restaurant, Pablo, the owner, is well-versed in the wines he carries, Bertha, his wife, helps to staff and manage and all the staff is friendly and attentive. The chef, their son, does a great job with the menu, both regular and seasonal selections. Food is excellent, properly prepared and nicely presented.
A great family owned and operated restaurant - its a nice hole in the wall find with good eats, wine and not as noise as most places.
Great food, attentive service, and an extensive wine list. Always a hit
Very tasty food! We tried three appetizers and each one was delicious. Good wine selection.
Great food and wine, warm atmosphere. A gem. Appreciated.
Wonderful wine selection. Good food. A perfect mix for s wonderful evening.
Always wonderful and very delicious!
Had a great anniversary celebration! This is our favorite restaurants. Great sharing with friends and family!
I love this place. It's very classy and high end. Also has a nice atmosphere. A bit expensive, but worth it.
Sheila's is a family owned and operated business. Everything is fresh and high quality. We had the scallops and filets --- fresh, tender, amazingly wonderful quality. We have gone to Sheila's for special occasions or when we wanted to treat friends to a consistently friendly, high quality, restaurant. We and they have always been pleased. Nice wine selection and cozy atmosphere makes for an enjoyable evening.
This our new favorite place to eat in Camarillo. Food is always outstanding as is the service. Love the entire place.
Looked for an "Open Table" restaurant in Camarillo. Not many to choose from ~ Shiela's place did not disappoint. I had a wonderful stone fruit salad with quinoa, goat cheese and rocket greens with a healthy pour of sauvignon blanc. We would certainly return if in the area again.
This place was simply amazing as our last time!!! Everything was outstanding, service, food-so good, wine and atmosphere! Meals were superb and the Chef has such talent at creating/preparing and plating the food! Pablo/Berta and all the staff are by far some of the best we've ever seen. We enjoyed the exceptional wine list and will be back in the area for our next celebration! The dining experience here is such a wonderful one we can't wait to share with our family at Christmas when we bring them with us. Absolutely tops in our book!
An awesome experience and a true wine and food "hidden gem" in the midst of CAMARILLO and the 101 Highway.
This is our new 'go to' restaurant. Pablo's enthusiasm for what he does in infectious. Awesome wines that go with great food prepared by his son...priceless!
Great food and friendly service!
Sheila's is consistently reliable for good food, great wine, and excellent service. I've had salads and pasta dishes that are always well-prepared. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
We met three different servers... one lady who was very friendly; one male with a pony tail who was also very friendly and helpful; one male who apparently assigned to us. He was the most arrogant unfriendly waiter I have ever met
Food was tasty and served piping hot the way we expect.
My wife and I have frequented Sheila's on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. Some menu items are a little on the pricey side but the food is excellent and seasonal. Their wine selection is fantastic and they even managed to create some extra room for us on a jam-packed night.
Sheila's is our go to restaurant for delicious food. Consistently Great, never disappoints.
