I made a reservation for 2 people. We ended up having 6 and the host/hostess were very accommodating and pleasant. Good Job!

I have always been a fan of Shaw's. The Mother's day brunch was not what I expected. It was above and byond fantastic. The variety was great not only did they have traditional breakfeast items and lunch items, they also had there delicious seafood and sushi. The service was excellent and loved the mimosa and bloody mary bar. I will definately go there again for brunch.

It is all very high quality seafood. The servers are experienced, the oysters are delectable, and everything else is just plain perfect. Can't think of a single thing that wasn't satisfactory. The restrooms are up a flight of stairs, however, so if you feel you have to go (and maybe you have had a few already), be sure to go sooner rather than later, and watch your step.

We love the service which is always friendly and attentive. The raw oysters are excellent and the condiments are a perfect addition. I had the dungenness crab and my date had the lobster tails, I would recommend both dishes, but be warned the dungeness crab does take a bit of work

All was well until I was delivered a knockout blow with a spoiled oyster that I did not discover until consumed. The best they could do was offer a desert sampler and coffee. I should have had my whole meal comped.

We arrived early and were accomodated with a table. Our server and all the staff were very friendly and attentive to our every need. I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and they did bring a complimentary piece of birthday cake. A wonderful finishing touch to a great dining experience. I'll be back.

The luncheon was for business. The ambiance was very conducive to a business setting as there was ample room around us and the noise level was quiet. The wait staff is very attentive to your needs without being intrusive. While I rated the food in this particular survey as only "Good", I have been to Shaw's many times and find the food to be excellent. My rating here related more to my choice in entre. I chose the seafood sampler which is fried and I am not particularly a fan of fried food.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes seafood.

We frequent this place, but this was an "off night". Although restaurant wasn't that crowded, Open Table availability wasn't the best. We assume they are only offered limited availability of seating. Two tables near us were open for half an hour, and a couple stood by another for 20 minutes and then were seated in it!

A lot more casual than the main dining room but same great menu. You can't go wrong with the Lobster Bisque and the Alaskan King Crab, yummy!

The food was fairly good. The service was terrible on this particular night. The waiter was extrememly slow despite the fact the restaurant wasn't very crowded. In addition, our waiter couldn't speak English very well and he neglected to go over the nightly specials with us. The drinks were also a disappointment. Our Mai Tais were pretty much fruit juice and we sent them back to the bar in exchange for wine and beer. They did give each woman a rose to celebrate Valentine's Day. That was a classy touch. Overall, it was an extremely lackluster experience. The fact that it was Valentine's Day made it sting even more. I'm sad to say I found Shaw's to be much ado about nothing.

Shaw's Oyster Bar is a delightful place for oysters. They have six different types and you can even order the sampler which has one of each. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Best scallops I've ever had (Nantucket Bay Scallops). I also loved the wine and raspberry pie.

Excellent service - informative, helpful waiter. I wouldn't have tried the scallops if he hadn't mentioned how good they were.

Our visit to Shaw's Oyster Bar was exactly what we were looking for. The surperb quality of the food was amazing. By far the best seafood I have tasted. We started with the Island Creek Oysters which had the best flavor I have ever tasted in an oyster they were just the right size and came with a delicious Champagne Pepper Vinegar crused ice that really brought out the perfect Oyster Flavor. I had the Steamed Alaskin Crab and My finance had the Nantucket Scallops. The crab was perfect, large thick but tender and sweet legs with sweet melted butter were the best I have ever tasted. The Natucket Scallops were very good and were tender and sweet with no grit or toughness. They were perfecly camalized and we shared both orders.

For the money, it could have been better. The amount of food was questionable for a $36 per plate price tag. The food came to our crowded 4-top table, hot, but not steaming. Sushi at the bar was nice looking, but the taste was not "there" and the wine was less than premiere. Some people will like this place because it is trendy and a safe pick. I will try another venue that is a bit more special for the money.

Shaws is consistantly an excellent place to dine. Whether you sitting down to a romantic dinner, or interested in relaxing with a plate of oysters and a drink at the oyster bar, Shaws always pulls through with an excellent atmosphere and great food list. Will continue to recommend and dine at Shaws as we always leave satisfied.

Food was very good. Ambience in Oyster Bar is typical bar atmosphere. Casual and fun. It was not very crowded so not too noisy but I assume on a busy day/night it would be louder. Great seafood selections and really fresh sushi.

What could be wrong with this restaurant. The food is excellent. Never had a bad entree. Their blue cheese wedge salad is wonderful. I've had the oysters, shrimp, scallops - most white fishes. All are the best. Yes, it's pricy and a little noisy (in the oyster bar), but it's always busy. Would go back as often as possible.

We had the most amazing dinner at Shaw's! The food was excellent; the no rice maki rolls were delicious and the Nantucket scallops were the best we'd ever had. The service was outstanding, Marlene took excellent care of us all evening. It was one of our best nights out in a long time.

Unfortunate that I had had such great expectations for Shaws and not one of them delivered.
The seafood was o.k. but not worth the money that they will charge you.
Do not even think about ordering a steak, literaly the worst I have had in years and the server did not even check on the table until the meal was over.
I would not eat here again even for free.

We felt the food was average. The seafood platter was really bad, how can you not make a good crab cake when youre called the Crab House? The service, though very nice was incredibly slow!!!! On a high note, the desserts were excellent!! Terrific best pecan & raspberry pies.

Our service was exceptional. Most of the food was outstanding, including crab cake dinner, lobster pasta, king crab legs, filet mignon and chicken caeser salad. Only the oysters left something to be desired. Thanks for asking, Bernadette Collins
