Food was DELICIOUS!!! Perfect date night for my birthday!!
Great food and service as usual !
Our server Steve not super friendly. Couldn't even get a refill on coffee told us it was all poured out. Then decided to reset our table while we were still trying to finish our half cup of coffee. Ugh. Slow service unfriendly. Very dissapointed. One of our favorite places
Unusually poor service on this trip. There were very few people there so no excuse
Forgot to ask 2 guests if they wanted drinks even after drinks were brought for others
Long waits on bottles of wine
Cocktail glasses empty for abnormal periods of time
Super long wait on desert offerings
We made a reservation for 12:45, Sunday, 4/15. We were not surprised to see how busy the restaurant was, due to the Tax Day Special they were doing. However, after waiting over a half hour, with no status update, we were starting to get upset...and very hungry. After being seated, still didn't see our waiter for over five minutes more. Many of the food selections on the brunch were empty and it took quite a while for more product to be stocked. The food in general, was wonderful, as usual, but it just seems that they just weren't prepared for the volume of business this day. We're able to consider this a one off experience, and hope to have our usual great experience in the future.
We've eaten at Shaw's before, usually for early dinner, and the food has been average to above. This was our first brunch, and disappointing. The staff seemed to have a difficult time keeping the hot buffet replenished, and even then the food wasn't hot when brought out. We tried several items, most were just okay.
Servers also seemed to be spread a little thin.
I realize there are some who like quantity over quality, but we're not big eaters. We would have preferred something better.
Overall, I guess we expected something different at this price point. We'll stick to the regular menu after this.
Everything was excellent. Service and food quality was amongst the best I have seen. Couple of instances there were no plates or food was getting refilled, but that is due to a promotion they had going on. Will be back soon!!
We came in for brunch and were seated promptly. The service was excellent from everyone we came in contact with. Our table was nice and the room was relatively calm and quite. Where the buffet was staged was loud and very crowded. Constant line of people waiting for food. The food was replenished immediately. However the food was very average, to subpare and was not the level we expected especially for the cost. We did not feel the dishes represented high quality, nor was the variety at the level of a high end seafood reasutrant not only was the food cheap it was either tasteless or tasted unpleasant. The oysters were dry, bisque was luke warm, crab shells were found in crab cakes, chicken dry,mac n cheese was a joke. The cod was good but really that's the only fish.???
The fish is so clean, fresh and tasty. The service is wonderful. I would recommend Shaw's to everyone!
We had a wonderful meal and great time celebrating my son's confirmation! We arrived early and were seated promptly! The host were friendly and accommodating as was our server Maria. She did an excellent job and was attentive, friendly, fun and recognized we were there for a celebration. We truly love going to Shaw's and will return in the future!
The food here is always very good, and the service is always exceptional. The only thing wrong that stuck out to my wife and I were the several large water spots on the ceiling, and also several ceiling tiles were sagging down or popped up. This was the first time I noticed this at this location, hopefully they get that fixed soon.
The staff was very friendly and extremely attentive. Portion sizes were great; food temps spot on and downright delicious! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Crab legs are the right choice.Wine list and bar drinks are great at a fair price. Service is outstanding and fast. Once you try this place, you will be back. Enjoy.
Kevin was our server for the brunch. He was extremely helpful and a delightful conversationalist. It was a pleasure.
I love this place,so I chose it to celebrate my birthday with my sisters. It has delicious seafood and I love the atmosphere!!
Have been to Shaw's in both the city and Schaumburg several times and always enjoy. This visit was no exception...The food and service were first class. Thank you.
The bartenders were awesome as were the cocktails and food. The manager was also accommodating when the temperature in the bar dropped dramatically. We will be back.
Definitely a few steps below the quality of the downtown Chicago location.
Tim was a excellent waiter. He was knowledgeable about the menu and he understand how important timing to great service.
The service is great. Appetizers were very good. My crab cake was filled with shells. Could not eat it. Shrimp and scallops average.
Wonderful Easter Brunch. We sat in the bar area and did not feel like we missed anything not being in the main dining room. Sean our bartender and server was phenomenal. Very friendly, attentive and truly a pleasure to be around. Food was very good and there was something for everyone. The only negative that I have with almost every Buffet including this one is that the food is not hot enough. Despite that we had a wonderful Easter brunch. Especially loved the raw bar!
Easter brunch was great!
Easter Brunch. Very nice. Worth every penny!!
Very limited seafood on buffet. Very expensive for mainly breakfast foods on buffet. Buffet tables are in different rooms and people walking into you.
We came for the Easter brunch. Last year the food was much better. This year it seemed very bland tasting. Also I noticed an employee in the facilities going straight out without washing his hands.
Went here for Easter brunch. We've gone here for brunch a number of times in the past and it always included Crab and beef tenderloin. no crab or beef tenderloin this time. At $55.00 per prerson, this is pretty steep for the food that was offered. The food was good, but not worth $55/person. It's not about the cost, but the value you get for it. Will not be going to brunch here again.
Exceptional service, wonderful cuisine and they will make sure that your dining experience is enjoyable. They will “make it right” if they don’t meet your expectations, which is why they go above and beyond! Highly recommended!
8pm, reservation. The food wasn't as good as it has been in the past. Not sure if received the bottom of the barrel Bisque, but it wasn't good. Sushi was also mediocre for the price.
Very pricey for the portions. Food was very good. I had the seafood salad which was very good and worth it . The rest of the meal was over priced for what you got.
To be completely honest this restaurant was absolutely overpriced for not only the quality of food but the amount of food as well, the drinks also had no booze. For 3 couples our bill was over $700 - we could have spent half of that and gone to Boston Fish Market and had our table filled with food with drinks. I'm not going to say the food was horrible however dont believe the hype and go elsewhere.
Need to implement and enforce a basic dress codes on Friday and Saturday nights in main dining room. It is difficult to justify $100/person for nice occasion when people sitting next to you are wearing truckers hats and/or Under Armor hoodies. There are less formal options in the lounge and pub.
It started with our son's milestone birthday when we asked him what he felt like, sushi, pasta, seafood or steak? he says "yes" I look at my hubby and ask is there a place that has all that? we came, ordered oysters, sushi, king crab, prime steak, lobster with pasta and the 21 year old ate all of it. so now he thinks that he can plow through $260 worth of food for every birthday. This time it was his 26th and he enjoyed it just as much as his 21st. ate all of that, oh and since he is growing, added fish and chips this time. love it, everything was so good! and they have him a chocolate cake with a candle.
I have been to Shaw’s many times and this was the first the service was not up to par! We asked 3x for flatbread crackers (from the bread basket) and asked the manager if we can finally order our lunch! The restaurant was not 20% occupied and we couldn’t get decent service! It’s a shame as we dine at Shaw’s often enough to know the difference in their customer service department.
Excellent food, great service. Unexpectedly, a wonderful steak at a seafood place.
The food was exceptional! The waiter was so friendly and professional! I was there on a date with my wife. We came in from out of town and my wife loves this place. She loves the fact that everything is fresh and they cut open the crab legs for you! Exceptional service!
Ordered sashimi and got nigiri. No soy or teriyaki. Forgot asparagus. Lobster take undercooked. Downtown Shaw’s is far better
Shaw's Crabhouse is well known for their fish entrees, which were really good. I had the lobster bisque soup which is always a favorite. I had the haddock which was very tasty. The service was wonderful. However, ask for a booth if you can as the tables are situated very close to one another, so you feel like you have tablemates. The only downside to Shaw's is that it is very pricey so expect to "shell" out some "clams" for this restaurant!! Overall a good experience!
Our wait staff seemed over burdened, maybe too many tables to attend to. The Food was good, but not good enough comparing to the price.
Way overpriced for what you get. $19 for one small stone crab claw!! Food was cold for 2 of us and had to be sent back. Waitress was not attentive and made $150 tip because food is overpriced.
Expensive, always is, food was just ok
