Thought pared down a bit from the past, (smaller sweets table, fewer options at the carving station) the quality of food is still very high.
Very nice, as always at Shaw’s. Appetizers and glass of wine in the bar before dinner, and both were delicious - Dinner for 7 - was very good... service was excellent!
I believe for what you get it is way overpriced, I have had seafood much less priced and tasted better.
We were told on our first visit others were given a piece of the chocolate cake. we were not.
They were great for my mom’s 75th birthday. They know how to treat grandparents right.
Underwhelming and bland. Will not be back.
Always a great choice for any occasion. Best seafood in Chicago and suburbs.
This restaurant use to be excellent. Not so anymore.
I wanted a lobster. They claimed they haven't served them in 5 years.
I had it there last year.
Food is way overpriced and not worth it,
It looks just like the one downtown! And the food is every bit as good. Where we were waiting for our meal, the warm buns with sea salt sprinkled on top were a delightful distraction. TheShrimp scampi was lightly dusted and deep-fried and swimming in a sea of butter. Who could not like that. The clam chowder was creamy and rich. The wedge salad is always my favorite and always done well at Shaw’s. I loved the parmesan encrusted haddock which is lightly fried and crispy and delicate. And of course the Keylime pie was as tart as always The only suggestion is that the waiter brought all of the food at almost the same time and so while it was hot when I arrived we could hardly eat it all before it got cold. it turned a five star evening into a four star evening
A bit disappointed this time at Shaw’s. We celebrate Mother’s Day and our anniversaries at Shaw’s. Both years in a row I put in our reservation stating it was our anniversary and I requested one of the larger rounded booths. Both times they didn’t accommodate us. They acknowledged it was our anniversary when we checked in so they knew. Not even a complimentary dessert at the end of our $200 dinner. Will go somewhere else to celebrate special occasions. Food was very good though.
The entire experience was top notch; from the initial greeting by our server to the quality of the meal.
Great Happy hour menu, Great Service, Great drinks Great food. Even brought me a cake for my Birthday . Just amazing
Food is always outstanding.
I did not appreciate that we were seated n the bar area despite having a reservation and asked to be seated in the main dining room. We had to stand to reach across the table to get the salt, pepper, etc. one of us actually got food on her clothes trying to reach over.
Parmesan crusted haddock supurb. Seafood platter as well, lobster bisque , and chopped salad a truly perfect meal
October is oyster month at Shaw's. The oysters on the half shell and the oyster po'boy were amazing good!
Great food and service. Other restaurant workers should visit this Shaws and take notes.
Outstanding as always. Looking forward to return of stone crabs soon. Mike is best server . Thanks
Great seafood and service. We ale Leary’s enjoy Shaw’s. And a great muni too
Our server Yazmin was outstanding
Great oysters and crab cakes. Attentive wait staff. Quiet atmosphere.
Quality of food and service is top notch. We’ve never had a problem with the staff, always pleasant and willing to help.
Our server, Luís was fantastic! Everything we ordered was excellent, particularly the lobster and double baked potato! Overall a wonderful experience that was top notch. Highly recommended for a special occasion or just if you want a great seafood experience.
Our server was great, dinner was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and very delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner. Loved it..
Although our server was wonderful, the food was just okay (steak very bland), and the ambience was somewhat pretentious. Tables also very crowded together.
For the amount of money it cost, I would not go back.
We loved the cold seafood appetizer!! Delicious!
I've been a fan of Shaw's for many years. But this last visit was disappointing. The food was o-k, not anything special. The servers were very nice and attentive. We found a small insect in the glass of wine but they removed it from the bill when we pointed it out. The restaurant also looked a bit worn -- carpets were not clean and the restrooms were somewhat dirty. I don't think I'll be returning.
The only problem we encountered was in the Oyster Bar. We arrived early and decided to have a drink in the bar. This was on Sept. 27 around 6:15 PM
We understand it was crowded but the woman who waited on us was inept. To say she was slow is an understatement. It took forever for her to serve us and when I requested the bill it took her almost 20 minutes for her to bring it even though I could see she had it in her possession as she waited on other tables. I had to ask another server for the bill.
Thanks to her we were 15 minutes late for our reservation.
FYI, we were seated at the table near the door and an older woman with black hair waited on us.
In the future we avoid her.
Food was very good, overall solid experience. Server was very nice and attentive. Comp dessert for special occasion was greatly appreciated.
Food significantly not up to par with the Chicago location. Dining room was pretty empty and the service was off as well. Need to up the game to live up to the Lettuce Entertain you expectation of quality and service
Atmosphere was great! The food selection was mediocre according to price value compared to other Sunday Brunch Menus. The king crab is the only factor that would encourage me to return. Downtown Chicago location I feel was better
As always Shaw’s did not disappoint from the service to the food to the incredible bloody Mary’s - a great place for Sunday brunch with lots of options for even the pickiest of eaters all delivered graciously and with a smile .
Birthday brunch was fabulous!
Local favorite with great fresh Seafood! Highly recommended, Arctic Char was delicious!
We will be back for more!
Michael was great with special requests
Great Food great service
We had a quiet booth table. The waiter was knowledgeable about the dishes and the service was very good. The food was also very good with the exception of my baked potato. (It was large but nothing special.) I had the ginger-soy tuna which was excellent. The food was ample. (We were too full for dessert.) I thought the food prices were a bit high as no sides were included with the entrees. But I would go there again.
Seafood salad, lobster roll, bananas foster and service were outstanding. Early dinner for a 92nd birthday celebration was perfect. Lobster bisque was unremarkable. Will return for Sunday brunch or oyster fest.
Met old friends.
Outstanding service! Clam chowder soup and swordfish are the best we’ve had anywhere.
