This was our Valentine’s Day dinner and we had never been here before. To start off we had a reservation and they are super busy and we were a little early and told to wait and could get a drink at either bar. That was completely unrealistic bc they were both packed. The service was great. The oysters were phenomenal as well as the lobster bisque! I got the salmon and to be honest it was was quite plain. I expected it to have more flavor for the price. My boyfriend had the crab cakes and they were very yummy! This place is nice and we would definitely come back for the oysters and maybe try the crab legs next time!
Mr Steve is the best. Great experience tonight.
Valentines Day in 2017 was a disappointment at Shawes. After a long break, we returned to our favorite seafood restaurant. We were happy we tried again. We are seniors. We’ve found that we are most comfortable being seated in the bar in the main dining room. We scheduled an early seating. All went well. Our booth was ready. Service was great as usual. The food was delicious.
It's an excellent restaurant with excellent service.
We sat at bar. Bartender we had wasn’t very attentive and when he did ask if we needed anything, he interrupted us right in the middle of my boyfriend giving me a valentine gift. Other bartenders there have been great. I wish I recall the name of this one. Otherwise Shaw’s is great!
Surprised my husband for his birthday and we enjoyed the service and the food was awesome..
Always an Awesome experience
Great place, great service, great food
We went to Shaw's in Schaumburg to celebrate an early Valentine's Day on Tuesday to avoid the rush, only to find out when we got there it was Fat Tuesday! We had a great time any way and the food and service was fantastic.
First item I ordered was not available.
Prices are way too high for the dinners.
Food was average
This was our very first time at Shaw's in Schaumburg and we can't wait to come back! Sat in the Oyster Bar which was Lively with great ambiance. Our bartender came over quickly the minute I sat down and made an excellent gimlet martini. I've never had that crab bite appetizer and it was amazing. My husband had the Nantucket scallops which tasted so sweet and delicious. I was going to have the crab legs but was kind of full so decided on the seafood salad which showcased you're amazing shellfish! It was our 33rd wedding anniversary and my birthday so the waitress offered us a sampling of deserts on the house. Thank you for making this day special.!
AWESOME: LARGE & LONG Alaskan Red King Crab Legs.
Delicious Desserts a must have especially Raspberry Pie and Key Lime Pie.
(Sample plate has 4 mini desserts nice for sharing.)
Other sides also very good: Garlic Spinach & Au Gratin Potatoes.
Professional & Attentive Friendly Service.
Our Family's Favorite Place to gather and dine.
Excellent Seafood Appetizers & Entries.
I would recommend the parmesean encrusted halibut. Outstanding!
We continue to love Shaws for superb seafood and for a Sunday brunch to die for. Because we love lobster and crab legs, our dining is restricted to special occasions, but is worth every penny when we do go.
Poor compared to downtown. Reception staff. Are not experienced!! Made our reservations a poor /bad experience. And th overall comparison to downtown Shaw’s. There is no comparison. Poor value.
Seating was crowded. Waiters serving the table next to us needed us to move to serve them their dinner. They were very polite but it was a little awkward.
Server was good describing the menu but was not very present after we ordered.
Overall, it was a very good meal, although it was a little pricey based on the service and tight quarters.
All that said we plan to be back.
Probably one of the best meals I have had. Their seafood is fantastic and you cannot go wrong with their steaks either. The restaurant is pricey but well worth the visit. It isn't a place you will go to weekly but one or two times per year will certainly work out.
They have a great wine selection as well as various desserts. You can't go wrong going here!
Good cocktails. Everything about the food was terrific, including dessert. Service was really great as well. Good server who took care of us without being intrusive.
Went there for lunch. My wife and I ordered the salmon entree. It was a very small portion; way overpriced for what we received.
Service was very good.
Total bill with tip was $117 (had only water). Went home hungry
Had the restaurant week dinner deal. Shrimp cocktail was fresh and flavorful. Caesar salad was great and loved the crab cake and lobster tail. Mini chocolate cake was excellent. Sat in the bar so our waiter was also the bartender. He did an excellent job. Everything was first class!
