The menu was revised since our last visit here. The crablegs are served ala cart now , the carved beef also. The choices are beginning to vary much more compared to the menu at the Chicago location. Also did not see the soups that were available before. May not visit this location again
We don't eat at Shaw's often due to not being a big seafood fan and the proximity to our home.
But we do enjoy the Sunday Brunch. I will admit we have not been to the brunch since last Feb. and did notice a few changes that were disappointing. The have remove the carved tenderloin from the menu and I also noted no crab legs. Some of the favorite items on the dessert station for our kids was the candy that has also gone away. The layout of the food items has remained mostly the same but the action station was relocated near the exit which seemed a little congested this time around. The new items including the fried chicken, blintzes and bananas foster were nice additions.
Very attentive staff, super friendly and helpful!
The brunch was very good and had a wide variety of options.
It was a great first experience. I will be back.
We are generally pleased with Shaw’s. However, this visit multiple shrimp weren’t properly cleaned and the bisque lacked Ingres. That was a huge disappointment. However, my spouse was happy with his food.
Seafood was excellent. Very good food on kids menu, which is just as important to our family.
Amazing as always
Food was good but service was very slow. It was very busy and it appeared they didnt have enough staff especially bus workers
It was a wonderful date night with my husband. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I tried a raw oyster (the waitress recommended) and it was delicious..
Fantastic Seafood with Great Service and a Friendly Atmosphere.
Great atmosphere, friendly service, and AWESOME seafood! Can't ask for more!
A wonderful meal with overall great service....crab cakes and calimari were delicious...salads were cold and crisp...server was very responsive...only negative was the overly frequent refilling of water glasses...
While the food is great and the ambience very relaxing, the prices are a bit steep until you note how amazing the service is. Fantastic service throughout the evening.
We had a separate room. Food was delicious, service was great, but soup was cold as well as a few seafood portions of the meal.
Always make a point to stop there when in Chicago as their oyster is always top notch, service is spectacular, and I’ve never been disappointed by any menu items.
Great service. Lobster bisque just ok. Seafood salad was tasty but should have been “crab salad “. The mini dessert creme brûlée was wonderful.
I’ll return but will try something different.
We went to Shaw's Crab House to celebrate my parent's 47th Wedding anniversary. The staff went out of their way to make it a special night for all of us. The service was beyond excellent. They brought my parents a celebratory chocolate cake topped with whipped cream and a single candle. The staff are very accommodating and not only did they take pictures for us, I noticed that they seemed to do this for many other tables dining in the main dining room. Kudos to the staff for going above and beyond for the patrons. They clearly love what they do. Also, the food is amazing. We ordered the oyster sampler which was spectacular. Thank you to Shaw's for making this a night to remember for all of us.
We had early reservations so the ambiance was great, but as it filled up it got quote loud. The food and service was exceptional.
The entrees and soup were absolutely awful and overpriced.
The tuna and guac appetizer was good.
Strong service but skipped std bread before meal. Forgot that cannot use points on Saturday, which kinds sucks as a rule. My mistake, not Shaws.
I like the casual dress attire. The busboys were awesome, very quick to fill my water and supply us with more delicious bread.
Wonderful seafood as always and fresh and tasty oysters. Not used to so much butter though in the Calamari and the Scallops.
We eat here several times a month. It’s always high quality and fresh. Thanks Shaws staff! You’re great! Keep up what you’re doing. It’s perfect. Nothing is broken. And that’s from very picky people.
My wife and i met an old friend, who we havent seen in years, at Shaws . Happy hour was great. Dinner even better. I had surf and turf. One of the best tasting lobsters tails that I can remember. The filet was perfect. Not a cheap night but food and service was excellent.
Everything was excellent. The server was attentive and even gave us a complimentary dessert sampler. It was a delightful dining experience.
Shaws Schaumburg is not shaws Chicago, but it charges the same price! The waiter was great, food good/great, value, probably not. I will try Weber grill next time. $19 for one stone crab claw!! That’s too much x 4! I still got one, but would have liked 4! It is very nice, but they are pricing themselves on a higher level than they should be.
Nailed it as usual. My wife has the king crab signature dish. Best crab she has ever had.
I have been to Shaw's many times, the food is always good and value is great. The other thing we encountered this time was that we ordered two dozen oysters for an appetizer and it took literally 30 to 40 minutes to get our appetizer. Not sure what the reason was but felt it was way too long. But other than that i will be going back and always enjoy the atmosphere and service.
Delicious food—from the tasty buffalo shrimp to the crab legs and twin lobster tails and birthday cake dessert and everything in between. Plus impeccable service
Great food and great selection!
They couldn’t accommodate us because OpenTable screwed up on the reservation it was one of my worst dining experiences considering I was the ringleader and embarrassed and probably will never go to Shaws again next time we’re going to bonefish
We have dined at your downtown location many times over the past several years, and those experiences have been excellent. This was our first time at this Schaumburg location and it did not impress. Did not seem to be at the same level. Food was good but not spectacular and service was slow for example. Your downtown location is and will continue to be one of our favorites. But we will not be returning to the Schaumburg location. Just not at the same quality bar.
All was good with dinner. We had reservations and still had to wait 30 minutes for our table and it took quite a bit of time to get service once at the table
Food was excellent. Ordered a prosecco that was flat but was readily replaced with a fresh glass. Had the red snapper. It was fabulous as was the lobster Mac and cheese. Super fresh oysters. Tables are very, very close and it is very noisy. Would go back for the food!
Shaws never dissapoints. Dinner with family, a few cocktails, a great dinner. We really enjoy this place. Highly recommended.
I was looking to impress my Fiancé with a nice dinner for his birthday and I accomplished that. The food was delicious and the customer service was outstanding. I will definitely be returning soon.
We came to celebrate the 18th birthday of our son and was very pleased thay we chose Shaw's Crabhouse! I will highly recommend this restaurant! Great food and service. We all love what we ordered. I had the scallops and my husband and som both got rhe surf and turf. Very flavorful but yet light and not overpowering. This was our second time to visit and we were very pleased both times. We will be back again sometime soon!
We had reservations, but they seemed unorganized in getting us to our table in what would be a normal waiting time. Our dinner was very good, but I think over priced overall. Our waitress was very friendly but not very interested in getting us anything. We had to ask for drinks, ask for the specials, ask if we could get appetizers, ask for coffee and dessert. Maybe she had too many tables? Anyway, it was a nice dinner but would definitely not hurry back.
Excellent service Mike is the bomb
Food is always great !!
Our reservation was for 12:30 and we were served promptly. Our waiter was friendly and quick. He did a good job of explaining where everything was located.
The buffet itself was very underwhelming.
1. Food on hot buffet looked extremely picked over. Some items had little or nothing in them (Eggs Benedict)
2. The egg dish on the buffet looked horrible. It was burnt and looked as though hadn't been attended to.
3. For being a seafood buffet I was very disappointed in the amount and different varieties of Seafood. No Scallops, only 1 type of fish on the hot line.
4. For the cost of the buffet was surprised that there wasn't any beef selections offered.
5. Four of the Oysters that I had were gritty and had either sand or shell in them.
6. The smoked Salmon was Excellent but would of enjoyed being able to eat it on a hot bagel and not the cold ones they offered.
7. Desserts are not that special. Raspberry was not a tart. Is was just fruit piped into cup.
