Seafood salad, lobster roll, bananas foster and service were outstanding. Early dinner for a 92nd birthday celebration was perfect. Lobster bisque was unremarkable. Will return for Sunday brunch or oyster fest.
Met old friends.
Outstanding service! Clam chowder soup and swordfish are the best we’ve had anywhere.
Our server was amazing. We brought our son for his first visit and she was so great with him. She her time with our family and offered options that could work with us. The food didn't disappoint either, as usual.
My husband and I went there for my birthday dinner. The most fantastic server, and I so wish I could remember her name! King crab leg were killer! Pricey, but great food and Chicago like atmosphere.
Great lunch! My friend I also had the soft shell crab appetizer—all those were great! For entree she had swordfish; I had the king crab legs—those were all great too! I almost had to take a nap in my truck afterwards— I was so blissfully stuffed!!
Food was good but they couldn’t give us our appetizer because the crab claws were frozen together. It also took a long time to get our food.
I have been to Shaw’s before and have had good experiences. This time the food was below average. We were a party of three. Two lobster rolls were order and came with very little lobster in the roll. I order the halibut, recommended by the waitress, and it was cold and undercook. I would think twice before I would pay this prices to get a below average meal. There are to many good restaurants in the Schaumburg area to be served below average meal for a high price.
Nothing but race discrimination.
I reserved for a group of four to have a nice family meal. When I got there, we were taken to the bar area while everybody else was taken to main dining room. In the bar area, there were 3 groups including us and were Asians.
It was so obvious that Asians were segregated because there were many seats remained in the main dining room. It was not a dress code issue because I saw people wearing shorts and t shirts while we were dressed properly. What even worse is that the waiter for our table was the bartender. Not only he prepares the drinks for all the guests but he needs to take care of all of our tables in the bar room.
Five months later, we returned to Shaw's for dinner. We both had lobster dishes. Overall, food and service were largely improved by Mr. Steve and our wait staff. Keep up this level of service and we'll think of Shaw's Crab House the next time we crave seafood.
While a bit pricey, it is definitely worth the money. Even if for a once-in-awhile treat for yourself. The food is fresh, service impeccable. I try to visit at least 2 times a year. You will not be disappointed.
My family went to Sunday brunch to celebrate my mom's 60th. At $65 per person not including any drinks it's a not a bargain BUT it is delicious. The quality and variety is exceptional. It's worth the splurge for special occasions for sure.
Craw legs were delicious, but expensive - $72. The lobster linguini was even better and less than 1/2 the cost.
our first time...service was very slow at first..after a few tables left service was better..we always make reservations a little later to miss the rush..we tend to eat slow..the sea food appetizer for two was fantastic..jambalaya...more oysters..ceviche..lobster tacos..and ended with a fantastic desert platter..if you like whiskey try their version of an old fashion i had a few...nice...will be back soon..
We have been to Shaw’s many times, but er had a disappointing evening. Other than the two salad entrees, all of our dinners were served cold.
Very good food and service
Great food, atmosphere and service
Our Waiter was personable, but not very attentive. We were there on a Wednesday evening. It took 2 1/2 hours for dinner. Not counting the cocktail hour we spent at the bar. We asked the waiter to bring our check with the desert. But he forgot to do so. When we finished he was no where to be found. We actually had to get up and search for him to get our check!
Grilled calamari were rubbery and not cooked enough.
Outstanding service and seafood!!
It was my third time there. Food is really amazing. Everything I had was super delicious. I’m only not giving 5* as this time food was a bit too cold for me. And felt like was siting in the kitchen before it was served.
Just a little disappointed in the basket of rolls and flat bread crackers. It was hard and cold. Even the thin cheesy flat bread crackers felt stale along with the rolls. And, even though our server was very good, as soon as a table of 8 showed up, service slowed down.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Shaw's. We started with cocktails at the bar and ended with a perfect meal in the dining room. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. The dessert sampler they provided for our anniversary just made it an even better night!
Excellent variety. We came at 1:15, so some of the food was cold. The service was wanting.,, Food was delicious though.
Our server was fantastic and we enjoyed the entire experience.
Great dining experience. Our server was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. I definitely recommend the clam chowder. So creamy and buttery.
My only complaint was how expensive it was. Definitely a restaurant for special occasions.
My new favorite restaurant. Special shout out to the foodie of the year, excellent server - Yasmin. She's so knowledgeable, funny, smart and knows what to recommend based on your history of food. She was outstanding.
Always have a great time at this restaurant food is amazing service is good and Price is Right
The food was good. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I don't think it was worth the price. $120 for two people was a bit pricey, especially since we did not have any drinks. Two courses, one side of veggies, and one appetizer.
Shaw’s is our place for fresh seafood. Time after time we are never disappointed in the quality and service here!
It was our 44th wedding anniversary and our experience was beyond outstanding. Everything was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed this anniversary dinner
Our server was fabulous! The seafood was delicious, surf and surf was the best we ever had. Seafood tower allowed us to try a little bit of everything.
The decor in the main dining room needs updating but that’s the only bad thing I can say.
Shaw's Crab House continues to be our favorite restaurant and always continues to be five-star in food, ambiance and service. Our experience this time was excellent, and our server, Jake was exceptional. His recommendations were spot on and we left the restaurant more than satisfied as always.
Our server Angel was stellar. Drinks were offered immediately. Angel did not rush us to order.
Food and service was excellent
SHAW'S SEAFOOD IS ALWAYS FRESH AND DELICIOUS...WE DO THINK THEIR PRICES ARE A
BIT HIGH BUT FOR AN OCCASIONAL SEAFOOD MEAL IT'S WORTH IT
Brunch was exquisite - food choices abundant. More subdued diners.
The Sunday brunch was bar none! Too many delicious items to name!
Very noisy with many loud parties in the dining room. Made for a stressful evening.
