fresh fish, okra, fresh vegetables, steamed rice
Great lunch, Great service, Great food.
Entire dinner experience was amazing!
It was a little quiet due to Covid restrictions but the food and service was excellent.
At least part of the beauty of Shaw’s is that it doesn’t change. The decor, the way you are greeted when you arrive, the sweep of the place reminds you of the (a) place you’ve known and loved forever. The seafood as you might expect is fresh and expertly prepared. The service is omnipresent but never in your face. Experts all. A must go/see/eat place when you’re in the City.
amazzzzing love josh the entire staff is fantastic
Wonderful experience. Breathtakingly fresh oysters, nice wine selection, cooked seafoods at perfect levels of doneness. Great service from staff member Rubén. We will definitely go back -- often, I hope!
I think we had bad oysters
Lobster Mac not worth it. Calamari overpriced. Everything else was good.
Wonderful experience during these times in the era of COVID!
This was my first time at shaws and it was amazing ! The service was top notch and the food was excellent. I would have given it 5/5 but the macaroni and cheese was not good, it was watery and a bit cold. But I had an amazing experience
Brunch was amazing I can’t believe how much food they brought out
Scallops a little too rare and gummy inside. Lobster Mac was runny and watery (it’s not suppose to be the same consistency as soup) and steak was well done when I asked for medium. I did not make a fuss because I do not make a scene in restaurants. I just take notes and never return. This is not a place worth ever dining in again. I will say that the chocolate cake was phenomenal but from one chef to another, the food quality is poor and not worth the price.
Every time we end up going to Shaw's, it turns into a special night even when it is a regular Saturday night. Kevin the General manager always goes above and beyond and makes you feel special and appreciated for choosing them. Sushi is outstanding especially as a starter (we had a California roll this time). My wife and I sort of split a filet and halibut that came with a pea sauce and mushrooms. The fish was perfectly cooked and the filet came out the perfect temperature. Sides were good and enough for 2. Corie our server could not have been sweeter and more accommodating. Finished the night with chocolate layer cake...enough said! Always a treat and always enjoyable. I highly recommend Shaw's!
We had a lovely and delicious dinner at Shaws Oyster Bar! Rafael was our server - attentive and helpful! Kevin the manager stopped by personally to check on us a couple of times. Delicious meal (tuna and halibut) with tasty cocktails and a complimentary desert to celebrate our 22 years!!! We are happy to celebrate at Shaws!
The food was great! And I actually like the new way of brunch! I miss the fried shrimp but that’s okay.
It was a nice dinner for a date and I would definitely go back!
Safe and tasty during a very stressful time!
It was so nice. We love to Go to Shaws when we visit Chicago and this was the first time doing this since the pandemic started
Classic old school dining room and oyster bar. Very attentive and accommodating white-jacketed servers. Gumbo and halibut was outstanding. Etouffe was a bit spicy but very good. Skip the crab cakes.
Outstanding food and atmosphere. Our server was absolute top notch.
Shaw’s is the best seafood in town. I have never been disappointed in the food, service and ambiance. At lunch, we had a quiet table allowing a coherent conversation without the noise that is the standard in many restaurants. I live close and feel that this is my go to place for seafood.
Enjoyed a great lunch at Shaw’s after 20* years! Love the old school supper club ambience and jazz tracks-timeless! The seafood is the shining star! Don’t miss the crabcakes & snowcrab legs!
Shaw's is always a wonderful experience!
Great Food, Great Service! We had, Oysters Rockefeller, Lobster Bisque, Seafood Salad, and parmesan encrusted haddock. they even made a drink for me that is no longer on the menu. I forgot how much I missed eating out !
Simple and straightforward seafood. The chef’s let the food speak for itself.
The staff is a happy bunch of folks. The ambiance is simple and highlight the fish/oysters of the day. Great recorded music. We love the oyster bar as opposed to the higher scale dining room.
Shaws never disappoints. The high price point is matched by the high level of service, quality of food, and overall experience. This should be on your short list of go-to restaurants for seafood special occasions.
Servers were excellent and the food was lousy.
This was the best brunch I've ever had. Everything was delicious and it was great value for the price.
