Shaw's Crab House - Chicago

Great food and service, as always at Shaw’s. Scallops were maybe the best I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely come back the next time I’m in Chicago. Thanks!
Superb as always. Come with an appetite because you’ll want to sample everything!!
We've eaten brunch here several times before, but both my husband and I agreed that this was the best quality ever. As a seafood lover & mostly gluten friendly eater, I stick with mostly the crab, shrimp, and cod plus some salads and a couple samples of dessert. (I did cheat and have a couple of delicious fried shrimp, lobster bisque, & small piece of almond coffee cake.) All were simply delicious, though some of the crab was very spiky and hard to open without additional padding. Because most gluten free foods are labeled, it makes it easier to make smart choices. They've added a very good cod entree which is GF.
My husband also enjoyed the same but added other foods. The dessert table is amazing! Service was friendly and the server checked in often. Our favorite go to place for a special brunch.
Best brunch I’ve ever had. So good. Buffet was awesome. Service was impeccable.
It was awesome from the Servive to the food. It was my first time and will be back!!!
Really great atmosphere and food!! Best crab I've probably ever had and highly recommend for a date or special occasion!
Libby the Best !
Oysters fresh not small and over priced. B
We always make time for a wonderful experience at Shaw’s on our annual trip to Chicago. This year was our 19th year. We’ve never been disappointed!
Once again Shaw’s knock it out of the park.
Birthday dinner was fantastic!!
Our server was amazing.
We very much enjoyed our time there.
We had a reservation and arrived early. They told us we would be taken at the time of the reservation. After waiting 20 minutes from the time of the reservation I inquired and they apologized and said that the person who checked me in forgot to check that I arrived. They were very apologetic and sent over to appetizers when we were seated. It took quite a while to get the appetizers and we were quite hungry, but the food was excellent.
Tried some new dishes and a new wine to go
with. I couldn’t decide what the best bite was! Fantastic as always.
The food was absolutely delicious, the best seafood I have ever had. Also the waiter whose name was Frankie M, was outstanding. If I owned a restaurant I would hire him for sure.
Amazing brunch! We will definitely be back!!!
The food was pretty good but not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend the buffet.
My wife and I Arrived a bit early, cocktails at the bar Great service from Patrick and Mauricio. Seated on time and enjoyed being allowed to catch up with our grandson. Scallops, king crab and oysters were all outstanding. We could not have had a more enjoyable evening. Service from Jose was Outstanding. Can’t wait to return. You should be Proud of your entire staff
The food! The calamari melts in your mouth! The best filet, the best crab legs, sesame seared tuna! So good!!!
Overall a wonderful seafood and dining experience with over the top waiters. The seafood ordered was cooked to perfection. A wonderful place to eat in Chicago since we were visiting from Colorado. I used to live in Sitka, Alaska, that has an abundance of salmon, halibut, black cod... and the halibut was excellent!
Have dined here many times and never a single complaint or issue. I would like to thank Kathleen Hawkins and our waitress for what was our best visit ever.
The sevice they provided was exceptional and we will be back!
Excellent food but I think it was a bit over priced
One of my favorite spots in Chicago!
Great music and food. Delightful evening!
Impeccable but friendly service. Tasty fresh food. Art Deco decor. They even gave me a free dessert since it was first visit
Food wasn’t as good as we expected it. The combination plates, cold and hot, were not too impressive, wedged salad had way too much vinegar flavor. We didn’t order main course because we were already not too impressed. Place is nice and pleasant and service was great! I’m
Sure their food is good most of the time. We picked the restaurant because of the 5 stars rating. But that’s how things are, some days are good and others are excellent.
Our favorite restaurant in Chicago. Best seafood and Service. Must get the lobster bisque and cold seafood platter
Aside from sushi and salad, we split the King crab legs and also each ordered an entree. I had the King Salmon which was the best ever I can remember having- great crust on the outside, creamy, melt in your mouth inside. I think this may have been my 5th trip to Shaw's this year, but this one was a memorable feast.
Brunch id exceptional!!! Bring you appetite. lots to chose from
Shaw’s Brunch is simply amazing! The quality and variety is best in class.
They need to do a better job when seating people. Experience started out bad although we had a very nice waitress that addressed our concern, can’t say much for the host. Food was very good and experience turned better with the hostess’ customer service.
Best brunch bin the City
Great food for the price you pay. They have a good buffet with a dessert table.
We attended Saturday brunch and it was the best brunch we've ever attended. The food was fresh, replenished quickly and delicious! The price was a little "hard to swallow" but l would go back and do it all over again! Service was also excellent!
Great food! The selection of seafood was amazing. The size of the shrimp were huge. It’s a little pricey considering it doesn’t include a Mimosa or Bloody Mary as a choice for beverage. I also felt the tables were a little too close to the serving area, making it hard to get back to your seat.
Fantastic service, and the food was top notch, a great evening !!
Nothing short of amazing! Celebrated my birthday with my parents. Had the cold crab legs with a filet! Unbelievable. Will recommend Shaw’s for every special occasion, date night, or get together with friends and family.
The service was well coordinated with the serving team working together to take care of myself and my two friends. The ambience was nice and warm. Overall it was a great evening.
The food was amazing, except for the Key Lime pie. My friend, who orders key lime pie at restaurants across the city, was horrified at how poor the pie was both the filling and the crust. The other desserts, chocolate cake and raspberry pie were amazing. The entrees: swordfish, lobster fettuccine, and 1 1/4lb king crab legs were amazing. It was just the key lime pie you should run from.
Thanks for making my wife’s birthday week amazing ! We will be back .. service was amazing . 🥰
