Went there on Fat Tues. Service was impeccable, but was underwhelmed by their Fat Tues. The live music didn’t feel like brass jazz of NOLA. Just a regular live band. Was disappointed that there were no desserts on the Mardi Gras menu . Crawfish was very small in crawfish boil, etouffe was good, jambalaya & gumbo was just ok. Raw oysters were not shucked well, had to pick out shells in almost every oyster.

Oysters were amazing and went for the crawfish. Crawfish was smaller then usual but still nice and spicy.

I adore Shaw's. The seafood is the best in Chicago, the service is attentive, and I always have a wonderful, relaxing dinner there -- never rushed, even I spend 2 or 3 hours catching up with whomever I'm with!

Had a great dinner date with my husband in the bar area. Our server Pat was awesome and accommodating but totally not pushy or hurrying us along. The bay scallops were to die for and everything else we had was delicious also. Can’t wait to go back soon!

A great dining experience at this classic Chicago restaurant. Excellent service, comfortable seating, a beautiful dining room where tables are spaced appropriately to engage in conversation without yelling. Expensive, yes, but totally worth it.

From the time I entered the restaurant until the time I left, service was impeccable. There was an abundance of food, breakfast station, seafood station, desert station, were all fully stocked and tasty. Will have to visit next time for the total brunch experience. Now drinks were free, except alcoholic beverages. I personally tried the pineapple mimosas, which was tasty, then server at the end asked if we wanted tea or coffee. Overall, service was wonderful except one stall for men’s restroom and three stalls for women, with limited seating area and long lines outside the restroom. However, I’m planning on another visit soon.

This is a great place for great food. The service was outstanding! It was a Saturday evening so it was quite crowded but considering the number of tables and people it was still very enjoyable and not too loud. I would recommend without hesitation.

Always enjoy coming to Chicago and eating at Shaw’s. It was my son’s 21st birthday and his first choice of restaurants.

Great food as expected.

First off, the food at Shaw's is amazing. There does not exist a better New England Clam Chowder on Earth. My problem was with a reservation issue. I initially made a reservation for 4 for a business dinner on a Friday night. At about 1pm it looked as though it would only be 2 of us dining, so as a courtesy to the restaurant I called to let them know. 30 minutes before my reservation, I had an additional member want to join us for dinner. Instead of just showing up there with 3, I called and explained. I was told they would not be able to accommodate a party of 3, so I had to decline the other person to come with us. Once there, we were seated at a 4 top. I ate dinner without any issue but before leaving I told the hostess and she seemed like she could care less. I actually got a snide comment back.
