Shari Sushi Lounge Ratings and Reviews
This was my second time at Shari, and the food is absolutely amazing! I'm a super fan of the pork belly, BFF sushi roll and their seasonal bread pudding for dessert! Their cocktails add a nice touch to your meal as well! I'll definitely frequent Shari! It's my new sushi spot...can't wait to see the additional items they're soon to add to the menu!
Amazing deals for Happy Hour- Service was great. If you don't want to get there at 5 make a reservation it gets packed!! Tiffany was our server and she is the best! Hands down best service i ever got from Shari. She was attentive and respectful - and funny! Great time, Great Sushi! Moscow Mules are great!
We live almost an hour away from Shari Sushi but always pick it as our 'special night out' place to go. The sushi is the absolute best I have ever had (hands down) and the ambiance and service make it that much better. Highly recommend any of the sashimi dishes (Yellowtail Himachi is my personal favorite). If we lived closer, Shari would be in our weekly rotation of places to eat at!
Great food and environment, but my particular waiter was way too rushed, he was walking away while taking and spoke so fast. It seemed liked he was running away from us the whole time. Very unsatisfied and surprised by the horrible service, but still one of my favorite sushi places. Expensive though.
Menu was very interesting and not just a repeat of traditional sushi fare. Waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the food items. Service was great. Has outdoor seating as well. Beer is limited to Japanese brands but wine list is good.
Food was excellent. Each dish had some flare and uniqueness. Will return and would definitely recommend.
waited 45 mins for the wrong food when we were our servers only table. When she saw it was the wrong order all she said was "awesome" then walked away. Used to live right down the road but now I went for a special occasion and this one experience ruined the restaurant forever.
As far as Sushi the quality was poor. More rice and vegetables than fish. Rice was starchey which made the Sushi very bland. Definitely out of all the Sushi I have eaten this place is in the bottom three for me. Very disappointing especially after driving the distance fro New Smyrna Beach.
Nice seat upstairs, overlooking the restaurant. Ginger salad was great, but two sushi rolls, (Dragon and FFF) were loosely formed (fell apart easily, and didn't offer much flavor. Spicy mayo excellent. Bottle of Kim Crawford Cab Sauvignon was overly expensive.
The ambience and the food were wonderful. Very good sashimi and sushi rolls. Very nice modern decor and quiet enough to have a real conversation without yelling!
The only problem was the waiter -- he was initially very attentive and helpful, but after we put in our order, he apparently forgot to give the sushi chefs the entire order. We received half the order in a reasonable amount of time. The second half arrived almost 90 minutes after we sat down. He apologized -- but still, a big goof in an otherwise nice restaurant.
We visited the restaurant for an evening dinner after proposing to my girlfriend earlier that day. Shari was the original restaurant where we first met so it was fitting to celebrate our engagement with sushi and drinks. We were pleasantly surprised when the owner provided two glasses of nice champagne to celebrate our new journey. The waiter was outstanding, provided prompt and excellent service. The food was amazing, we had the Ceviche roll, the lobster dumplings, and beef skewers, and our favorite drink there, the Dragon Manhattan. Highly recommend!
Shari is the epitome of a Neighborhood Gem and more so, one of the best sushi restaurants Orlando has to offer. I do not usually write reviews, but after frequenting this establishment over the past 5 years, and each time is as good if not better than the last, this restaurant warrants it! The staff is friendly and attentive, the owner is always present greeting guests with a smile; the food is always delicious, and the portions are always generous-- even during happy hour (available 7 days/wk), which is our favorite time to go. Where most places skimp on portion size or quality during happy hour, Shari does nothing of the sort. Everything on the happy hour menu is $4.50 (cocktails, rolls, sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and a few specialty rolls from their regular menu are offered for $6). The regular menu can be on the pricier side as far as sushi goes, but it is worth every penny and some of the flavor combinations are truly unique (try the Love Roll if you like raw, or the Red Dragon if you enjoy cooked); and ask what flavor Saki-tinis they have that week (Lychee and Mango are the best!). This is one of those restaurants in charming Thornton Park that has stood the test of time, and understandably so, it is a favorite for locals, sushi-lovers, and foodies alike.
