This was an absolute excellent experience!! The staff was great as was the food. The menu was custom to us.
This will be our first pick next year!
This is a great place for a fine meal. After a long absence, we went back to the Westin Share Restaurant based on my sister's recommendation. It was indeed excellent. Well prepared tasty food, great wine and attentive friendly service. The mian dining room is under renovatio so the interim dining space is somewhat sparse. However any deficiencies are miore than offset by quality of food and drink and also the staff. We have already been back and also recommended Share to others.
They need to complete their Renovation! Where they are currently serving food is NOT a restaurant; it is just a room!!
The restaurant is under renovation and a “makeshift” space was created in a meeting room. The waiter spent his time catering to a table of hotel staff and we felt neglected. This has been our go to restaurant for many years and hope to try it again when the actual space reopens. The food was underwhelming and tasted like it had come from under a heat lamp for 30 minutes.
Showed up for a 12:15pm weekday lunch reservation, and there was no host(ess) at the stand, the lounge was completely empty, and there were a small handful of people eating in what looked like a large conference room with some stand-up projector screens playing some sports. Zero staff in sight. Proceeded to ask the concierge of the hotel if the restaurant was, in fact, open. It was. She went through the conference-room-looking room to the back to find a server. Turns out that that was in fact the restaurant. We were seated near the projectors. Great.
Get menus, things were much more expensive than what was suggested by the opentable menu. We asked about the “express lunch” menu offered on here for $16. They have phased that out over a year ago. They have had multiple menu changes since then. Nobody has updated opentable. Okay, $22 burger it is.
Burgers were actually quite good. But if the menu was accurate and somebody had told me that the ambiance/service would be that sub-par while paying top-rate pricing, I definitely would have chosen one of the many other great restaurants (in that price range + area: Madison’s grill, Harvest Room, Lux, Kindred, etc.).
We reserved with a note we had to be gone by 7.00 . Show up for our reservation at 5.15. Took at least 15 min before we saw the server. Food arrived cold and for myself expensive. I had 3 scallops for 20$.Few beets (4 little ) . Finally when we could see back the serverwe gave up for coffe and deserts,it was already 6.50. That it for us ,we will go somewhere else...
Unfortunately the Westin is renovating due to a water leak a number of months ago. Therefore the dining room is not in a permanent location. At one end there were TV’s on the wall which were very distracting. The service was impeccable and the food was very good on all counts. Chicken, Rainbow trout, scallops were all delicious. Just the ambiance was not as expected.
Very enjoyable meal. Eddie provides such excellent service that it is a pleasure to return each time we are down town for an Edmonton Symphony concert.
Great breakfast and very friendly staff. Attentive and quick service. Can't wait for the renovations to be complete.
Unfortunately the Father’s Day brunch buffet was very very disorganized. Instead of being buffet it was delivered to the table. Which was fine. But many of our orders were never brought. Or brought only when we said we missed a course. The table next to us never even got their salads, egg sous or charcuterie. They missed our eggs and only brought them under cooked when we asked. Bad first impression of the Westin.
We were scheduled for 2 pm and arrived 20 minutes early. We were able to be seated at that time only to be informed food service was closing at 2 pm! We informed waitress that we were duly registered for 2 pm. A manager did come to explain service would go a little beyond 2 pm. Hardly good news to celebrate Mother's Day!
In addition, cost for the food menu was excessive.
In general we have been satisfied with the services of the Westin chain. Very disappointing!
Everything was fantastic. The variety of options for the mother's Day brunch was incredible as was the food. I was really impressed with the displays, Specifically the mini desserts selection. The fact that there was options for kids was wonderful and both my kids opted for gourmet mac and cheese which they devoured. A little pricey for adults but the selection was incredible, so we didn't mind.
Difficult to find this little restaurant - tucked away behind the washrooms and ballroom at the Westin. We were the only patrons on a very quiet Saturday. The server was attentive (as she should be with only 1 customer) but forgetful. The salad was the best thing we ordered between the soup, salad, chicken salad sandwich and flatbread.
Great service friendly waiters and food was delicious. Would go back.
Great food menu, no wine to go with it.
Great selection of menu options, super attentive staff (breakfast and evening!) and excellent local craft beers on tap! I will be back!
The atmosphere at the Share is sort of like a cafeteria: clean, sterile, cold. We were seated (6) at a table right next to the lobby and consequently it was noisy, quite cool temperature-wise, and the seats were too low - one in our party sat on her coat for added height. Our waiter was great - running all over the place and trying really hard to get everything right - but he seemed to be trying to serve quite a few tables at once. The food was a little better than mediocre. The fries were good.
Enjoyed the staff and the food, they where very accommodating.
Regularly dine at The Westin in Edmonton before attending Edmonton Symphony Concerts. Good value for money and excellent service keep us returning.
Went to Share with a friend on a Friday night. We were one of two tables and we took our time and were there about 2 1/2 hours. Corn fritters and Quinoa salad were excellent but Salmon and Strip loin were average at best. Potatoes were also undercooked.
For the price we could have had a much better meal elsewhere. Convenient if staying in the hotel but I would stick to the appetizers and salads.
Value was good due to downtown dining week special. There was one server for 2 dining areas therefore very slow. Food was good for 3 of 4 diners.
we had a lovely lunch here.
the service was so personable. You might go back just for her.
The food was very good too.
Had a wonderful meal at Share as part of the Edmonton Downtown Diner's Week. The quality of the food was exceptional, as was the service. The salad itself was a meal--wonderful salmon--cooked just right. Overall, one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Nice place for pre-theatre date night. Close to Citadel and Winspear. We will be back!
We had a great evening celebrating our anniversary. The food was good but the best part was reminiscing about old days with Eddie, who has worked at this hotel since 1976. The old Carvery days!
Short staff lead to poor service timing & When food order did arrive at table was just warm as it had been sitting
Breakfast before Teachers’ Convention
Booked a table in the restaurant. Waited over 5 minutes at the door and no one came. Went to the bar for supper. The bar at least had a waiter. Will not be going back.
Enjoyed the meal and service. They were very attentive, quick, and friendly. Always had water before water was empty. Food was tasty and had excellent presentation. Will recommend this place to friends and family.
Went to share for breakfast and had the smoked salmon Benedict and belgian waffles. Both were delicious and service was great. Would definitely recommend Share for breakfast.
Share has been a family “go to” restaurant for a few years. This visit was a bit disappointing as the food was no where near the usual caliber. Salmon was overcooked in the salad and vinaigrette was VERY acidic. Corn fritters were specially recommended by our waiter and were very doughy.
Choices shown online were not available (pickerel), the cappuccino machine was broken and although it was December 2nd when we visited, the chef’s December menu was not yet available.
As a whole, the food which we have ALWAYS been delighted in was really uninspired and as it was our annual Christmas kickoff celebration that the whole family meets at The Westin Edmonton for, we were quite let down.
The waiter did a good job however he was by himself. And run off his feet, they need more staff. Food was excellent
Short staffed and Saturday night so it took us 3 hrs start to finish and therefore missed the start of our event.
Outstanding meal and service. (Don). Highly underrated place to eat in Edmonton.
food was bad - turkey dinner was dry and badly prepared
We went for a drink and appetizers before an evening at the Winspear. We waited over an hour for a few bowls of soup and a couple of appetizers. By the time we got our food we had only 10 minutes to eat! The waiter was indifferent to our dissatisfaction and didn't so much as offer an explanation, or apology, or a reduction in the bill. He just set it on the table as if we were annoying him. Very, very dissapointed and not at all the service I expected from the Westin.
We found the food to be ok. But not what one might expect. The corn fritters, thoughbothers have given rave reviews were bland. We had salmon and pork chops. The salmon was over cooked/dry and the risotto with the pork chop was not creamy but gummy. The toffee Topping on the pudding was over cooked and tasted burnt. We were one of three parties in the restaurant however service was not great, waited 20 minutes for coffee after supper. We won’t recommend or return
Table wasn't ready. Didn't get menus quickly. Water was never refilled again. Food was good. I wouldn't recommend it if you are pressed for time or if you expect quality service
Two of the six in our party had very poor food. My husband showed the waiter his tenderloin steak had probably half that was unchewable. My sisters salmon was very fishy and she could not eat it either. They made no attempt to rectify the problems or compensate us. Poor
Great as always
Food and drinks were remarkable and the presentation was immaculate. Fortunately my wife an I weren't in a rush since it took 45 minutes to receive our appetizers (a simple soup and ceaser salad). Drinks also took about 20 minutes to arrive. We loved the decor and the entrées and will likely return but hopefully with shorter wait times and the same quality of food and drinks.
