We had reservations for 5- on a holiday. And, then two folks unexpectedly showed up. The restaurant graciously handled the mistake on our part and gave us a wonderful meal with outstanding service.

Shalom Bombay is of course first an Indian restaurant (and then one which serves Kosher food). as an Indian restaurant, the food is very tasty without being over spiced or overly muddled as many other Indian restaurants seem to produce. it is also not "greasy", another common traite of Indian restaurants these days. The tastes are clean and even authentic at times. a very good find. And if the diner is Kosher, even better but not necessary to enjoy the food.

Overall, a very good dining experience. The service was good and the chicken tikka masala was a good choice; the lamb vindaloo was excellent. We enjoyed the naan as well.

Nice place, food was light and tasted fresh, dessert was very average, service was there, but somewhat slow.

A hard to find combination of Kosher and Indian that was truly delicious and accommodating for our large group!

Everything here is just OK. There aren't alot of kosher Indian choices, but many things on this menu don't seem authentic. Also, many items are deep fried which should be lightly pan fried. The flavors in the tofu or chicken tikka massala are wonderful, but the jafreze sauce tasted like bbq sauce, not the usual spice mix at all.

I went to Shalom Bombay with 2 of my children who are in college. One really liked the food the other was not into Indian cuisine as he thought it overly spicy for his tastes but he managed. He liked the appetizer, soup and desert but was less enthusiastic about his entre. My daughter seemed to like all of her choices. I thought that the food was very good. We all thought that the service was friendly and prompt. The meals were moderate to reasonably priced and the portions were plentiful. I would rate Shalom Bombay as a good restaurant value.

I consider myelf to be a good judge of Indian food. I've been to India a number of times and cook Indian at home regularly. Shalom Bombay is an excellent option for Kosher Indian food. The restaurnt is small and has a lot of charachter.

We ordered a beef dish. It was tough and inedible. ThE portion sizes were tiny. The service was slow. My clothes stunk after we left the restaurant. We will not return there.
