Exceptional food, local fish and such, great recommendations by the server including local beers.
Smaller place, so be sure to make reservation. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the food.
Great food great service!
AMAZING!!! One of the best meals we have ever had. Our server was lovely, made awesome recommendations, and the food was unreal. Definitely try the scotch olives and the octopus and the paella!!!!
Loved the food. The Airmail craft cocktail was fabulous. Service was prompt and the staff were pleasant to interact with.
Pleasantly surprised. Loved the appetizers.
We were bothered by the fan, but it was kindly turned down by the manager.
Did not like the sitting and restaurant set up of the table. However, the food and service were great. Can not complain!
I've loved Shaker & Spear since it opened. They do everything superbly. Recently went for a birthday brunch with my girlfriends, and we can't wait to go back. The service was spectacular and they added a few special touches that really enhanced my birthday celebration.
Restaurant was understaffed for the breakfast service.
The food is fresh, imaginative, and creatively presented. Our server David was knowledgeable and friendly. Love the street side atmosphere and soundtrack.
Excellent service and food!! Loved the lemon ricotta pancake and herb and cheese omelette!!
Staff was friendly.
Great food and great service. Lots of fresh seafood options and really good drinks.
Our server took great care of us and the food was wonderful!
My partner forgot it was our anniversary, so the staff and I had some fun with her memory. Thank you for helping to make #31 fun!!
Came here by chance. Their appetizers were amazing, especially the salt cod begniet. Had the whole Snapper. It was a little spicy, but very tasty. Can be shared. Highly recommended.
Refreshingly creative & innovative menu without being too precious. All dishes at our table were well prepared and visually pleasing. You could feel a positive energetic hum between the cooks and the servers. Mutual appreciation & respect. This restaurant has verve and we’ll return!
Shaker & Spear serves delicious seafood in a casual yet modern setting. The Palladian hotel is upstairs from the restaurant but you would never know it's there because of the lack of noise coming from the lobby. The service was friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and I would recommend it to friends. I did not, however, feel that that the food was life changing. Furthermore, the layout of the restaurant would have been better if it could have been on the same floor as the restrooms. All in all a good night out kind of dining. Nothing too complex.
Incredible just great food. Staff fantastic
Great seafood with inventive ingredients. We'd definitely return.
The server was exceptional- very patient with our elderly guests. The food is also quite good. My only quibble is they give you approx 2 tablespoons of syrup for your French Toast order. And that's not an exaggeration.
Great chef, unique food. Great surprise! Staff was professional and friendly. Terrific cocktails.
Delicious seafood. Nice selection of beers and drinks.
For lunch it is strange to be described as a seafood place with literally only fish and chips on the menu.
Cocktails, dinner and deserts were delightful. Disappointed in the coffee drink and the bill was much more than I anticipated. Did not like the service charge.
Dinner at Shaker + Spear became one of the highlights of my first trip to Seattle! I was advised to make a reservation, and for good reason. Guests are served fresh, flavorful, satisfying food by attentive and knowledgeable staff in a sleek and modern environment with large glass windows and cozy lighting.
The staff at Shaker + Spear managed to make a delightful dinner even more memorable, and I ended up staying later than I had anticipated because the company was so pleasant. I hope to see them again to try their brunch on my next visit!
Incredible experience! I’ll be back over and over again! This was my first time at Shaker and Spear and I was more than pleasantly surprised. We had a wonderful server who was incredibly patient with us when we took forever to make decisions about the menu. The drinks were great, every single dish we ordered was incredible and beautifully plated. Oftentimes, when a place has great entrees and appetizers, the dessert is a little less thought through. Not here. We got dessert and each one was unique and incredibly delicious. I want to eat here every week! Also, we made a reservation for a medium sized group that afternoon and they were able to seat us. I’m so thankful they did.
Unexpectedly delicious. After a bit of a snafu at the beginning (note that there is no waiting area but the bar if you're early for your reservation - and anyone under 21 in your group cannot wait in the bar), we were seated at a nice table, and treated very well for the rest of the evening. Each of our entrees was perfectly-executed, and each of us remarked how much better they tasted than they even sounded on the menu. The closing lemon-cake-in-a-mason-jar was the perfect topper on the culinary experience. Server was terrific - it's clear the management is paying attention to the front, as well as the back, of the house.
The menu was limited and we had a hard time choosing what we would eat. The main thing we found issue with was the chairs were solid wood, heavy and uncomfortable, which took away from the experience of being there. Put some cushions on the chairs.
Great meal with great service. Good wine list and comfortable location.
Kate was the best! Thank you to the whole team. You always make it a wonderful experience! Incredible food and great service keeps us coming back!
We were here to celebrate my birthday. Our server, David, was awesome! We had the salt cod beignets and the octopus apps to start. Then the whole Branzino. Dessert was the coconut panna cotta. Everything was great, but David made the experience! He was very professional and informed on the menu. He made my night by bringing out a tiny cake with a candle and sparkling wine. We will be back next time we're in Seattle.
Great brunch, yummy food good vibes!
We had an amazing time here for Easter brunch. Love the attention to details on table setting and the addition of eggs for the table to decorate. While our party of 6 became 4, the restaurant was very understanding and accommodating, not making us feel uneasy about our time there while we dined. The cocktail menu is so creative, being movie (Mean Girls) themed and they rotate these themes! I would love to come back again for a special occasion with family and/or friends.
We went there for Easter brunch; tried a few different dishes and they all were really good. there was a cheese steak that was the stand out dish, but everything I had tasted great. Wait staff made great recommendations, the waiting area was also really cool too, cool comfy couches. Nice decor. I’d go back again!
Best waiter ever. Delicious meal. Dining experience was wonderful-every course timed perfectly. Loved the entire evening.
Enjoyed a very nice meal here. The octopus appetizer was amazing and we all enjoyed our main courses of scallops, rock fish and Arctic char. Our waitress was fantastic, very attentive and gave us great recommendations. Highly recommended.
I have eaten at this restaurant many times. Every time I have eaten here it has been such a great experience, except for this last time. The server was overwhelmed, and absent. He clearly had more tables than he could handle, and the kitchen was very slow! We were disappointed, to say the least. I was introducing the restaurant to a group of friends and I they were unimpressed. Hopefully, it was just an off day.
I ordered the ricotta blueberry pancake with Greek yogurt and lemon curd. It’s worth the wait.
Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Would visit again.
