Great food and casual atmosphere!
Way overpriced for average quality food. Service is good. Way too noisy & crowded, they cram people in.
we understand we are at a ski resort town, but nonetheless Shabu is not worth going to. Plenty other better options in town.
I felt rushed, we ordered several small plates and they were delivered at the same time. Waitress seemed to just being her job, she was not friendly at all. She was really not interested in our dining experience. The tables are very close together. Great firecracker shrimp.
Servers gave our table the wrong food multiple times but the food was great
Very cool ambiance and although I think it would be a better spot to go with friends, it was a great dinner with the kids. Water was very friendly and engaging with the kids. We hit all the top spots on our vacation and this was the most memorable.
We were in from DFW to snowboard and enjoyed Shabu so much that we had it twice. Sushi was very good and so was the other fusion dishes. Highly recommend the Cod, chorizo and duck wrap, yellow fin tuna and jalapeño starter as well as the Waghu beef (seared on a hot stone).
Beer selection is good. Wish i would have tried some sake.
Friend joined us who visits during the summer and said prices are at least 50% more in winter. It’s good but pricey in the winter.
Great food! We all enjoyed! Loud but that was fine for us with small children.
The food was absolutely fantastic, creative and fun. It was easily the best restaurant we experienced in Park city for the whole week.
Reservation was made for 915 and although we arrived 20-30 mins early they still didn’t seat us until 945. The place is very small and everyone is squished together. Not good if you want an intimate setting to have good conversation or family time as it’s so loud you can’t hear anything unless you’re yelling . We ordered sushi at 9:50 and didn’t receive the five different rolls we ordered until 1 hour later. That’s ridiculous seeing as though nothing needs to be cooked! They said they ran out of rice and delivered the order to us in pieces instead of all at one time so everyone could start eating at the same time.
I particularly loved the comment from the hostess that stated “ everyone decided to order sushi so we are really behind “. My thought was...aren’t we in a “sushi” restaurant??
Bottom line.... food is good. But ambiance is noisy and crowded and service is slow and disorganized. I wouldn’t repeat unfortunately.
We were a family part of 8 and picked shabu based on its reviews. I definitely give it 5 stars. The place was packed ams our server was quick to keep the drinks flowing and he service was great. You have to get the potstickers, one of the best.
Went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. So, getting the worst table (a hightop by the kitchen door) in this tiny, noisy restaurant was a disappointment. We’ve eaten there in the past and were disappointed with the food (tasteless seafood tempura served with a tasteless sauce etc). In fairness the pot stickers and squid salad were excellent as was the service.
The restaurant was way too loud. Hard floor, hard table tops that were too crowded together gave all the acoustical ambiance of a parking garage. Everyone was shouting to carry on a conversation at their table. So for most of the dinner, our family didn't talk. Portions were too small, but tasty and very over priced. Not much choice on the menu for our teenage kids. Service was average at best. "Ski shots" with 3 shots on a ski taken by three people at the same time with some patrons missing their mouth seemed to be the popular dinner activity. If you're more concerned about looking chic and being seen than having a fine dining experience then go to Shabu. I had a much better conversational environment, better service, food equal in taste at 1/4 of the price at Squatters restaurant in Park City.
We loved Shabu! We are there twice. The cod is what they are famous for, but do not miss the green beans and shishito peppers. Yummy! Aimee and Brian were wonderful servers. We will be back!
Good food. Pricey but within Park City standards, cool decor. Recommend the crispy coconut tofu. Would go again.
Waygu kinda bland, Shabu Shabu kinda bland, Green Beans amazing. I dunno. 5/10.
Love you the cozy ambiance, very cool vibe for an Asian restaurant. Food was fantastic, waiter Jordan was top notch, the Hot Pot entree was awesome!
Shabu offers a very lively atmosphere with creative and delicious Japanese fare.
An array of Asian food in a hip setting and a welcome addition to Main Street’s offerings. Sushi was average and not much of a fish selection, but the cooked dishes were unique and delicious. Servers were helpful, knowledgeable and fun.
Always the highlight of our trip to PC!
The food is amazing , delicious and unique . The overall experience is tons of fun!
Great service, food and art
Everything was great
Everything on the menu is wonderful. The hot rock is my favorite.
The only criticism I would have is I made it known that it was a 60th birthday and they didn’t ask or send a dessert
Other than that. I live the place .
Small, cozy place. Service and food were excellent. Try the samurai scallop app, it was awesome.
Have been dining here every time we visit Park City for many years. Sorry to say, but notwithstanding great wait staff, food quality and overall experience was not what it used to be.
Interesting menu and excellent food! I had the Black Cod which was awesome! Tim the bartender was great but the other bartender served me triple sec in my craft cocktail instead of countreau. When I pointed this out to him, he said it didn’t matter and they’re bascially the same. I think they should stick by what is listed on their menu or let me know if they’re substituting, especially something that’s a cheaper alternative! Other than that, a great experience and I look forward to going back again!
Food was very good, but pricey for what we got. Noise level was over the top! Couldn’t really carry on a conversation.
Obnoxious waiter, but still a peasant experience. Also, sushi chef ignored instructions as to spice level.
Park city has many fine restaurants, but Shabu is our first choice for a return visit. Their signature glazed black cod served over egg foo yong was outstanding. Duck confit was also great. When you can't have everything on the menu, you notice all the things your neighbors are enjoying with a tinge of envy. Go here.
Sat promptly , great service. Loved the hot pot.
We were squeezed into a small table, crowded by other dinners on both sides and when we tried to order the signature dish, Shabu Sizzle we were told our table was too small. Really! If you can't accommodate one of your dishes then you are crowding too many people into a small space, it was like being on an airline, getting as much revenue out of all available space. I dine out frequently and don't mind tight quarters in a busy, trendy restaurant but I have never been told I couldn't order something from the menu because it was too crowded. The food was good but it was an expensive disappointing evening.
Wonderful sushi restaurant! The rolls are unique and delicious.
The food is wonderful. We have had several different rolls and they were all great. My favorite dish’s are the hot rock and the yellow tail sashimi with jalapeño All of our servers we very friendly. One of my favorite aspects is that they text you if they are running late. So nice
Love, love the food and decor.
Always the best meal on Main Street. Incredible dining experience! - Ron J
the regular part of their menu is fine. sushi rolls were poor. sushi wrapped rolls were like leather.
Excellent food and great service!! Fun, lively crowd. Staff is incredibly nice, helpful and friendly!
Great food and fun atmosphere thanks to the great 80’s music!
I've always loved Shabu. I don't live in PC any more, however, it's still worth the drive around from BCC!
One of the best places on Main Street! The miso cod is NOT to be missed!
Lovely. Dark and cozy. K& D Sessions took me back 🎶! Tuna tataki, shishito peppers , hamachi , THAI rice & coconut crusted tofu were standouts. Service warm . Very considerate regarding food allergies.
