Take your taste buds on an unforgettable journey at SHABO'S Barbecue!
Delicious authentic Moroccan food. Order anything not-American. Barbecue chicken charred and dry. Palatable with extra barbecue sauce. But the tajine chicken and olive, couscus and other authentic entrees just phenomenal.
Great Mediterranean Dishes served with a smile
I’ll be back. Friendly service, paid special attention to our guest with allergies. Felt no rush to leave and food was very good. Made me miss Egypt.
We came all the way from canada and were recommended their steak.
They didn't have it available that day for some reason...it would have been nice if they offered something on the house....
It was more of a 'oh sorry...comeback next time '
Otherwise it was good food.
Great authentic food served with a smile
Wonderful place with outstanding food. Thank you very much for a lovely experience. We enjoyed everything. Also, thank you for having numerous gluten free options as well. We will be back!
This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. I am doing the KETO eating plan, my husband doesn't eat red meats, and our guests were Vegetarian...we were ALL happy!
Great dinner with friends. We shared appetizers and some plates. Really tasty food, always delicious.
Food was okay service was good but I thought it was a bit pricey I would rate it three stars.
Everything was excellent. And it was quiet enough so our group of 6 could hear each other. We questioned why it wasn't crowded. We can only figure that being one block off the main restuarant drive hurt it. We will be back!
Loved the ambiance..quaint and a bit romantic. The food was fabulous except for one of our dishes; the Chicken Tagine. The chicken was overcooked and dry but the sauce was delish. Two of us had the lamb shank which was a 10+. Fall off the bone and flavorful. The couscous was filled with potatoes, raisins and wonderful aromatic spices. We ordered the hummus platter and chicken livers for appetizers. All were great. Can't wait to go back !
I adore this restaurant! The menu is great. There are dishes for every style of eating or diet. If you aren’t in a diet...leave room for THE BEST baklava!
Meat on Kebabs was tough. Ambiance was lacking (very simple decor, no music or entertainment). Restaurant was empty on a Saturday night, perhaps that was a sign?
Overall poor experience
Every time I go I enjoy my food so much, this time had pomegranate mimosas..the best, everyone there is lovely the food is great and the place is cozy and just right, must have the baklava!
Excellent food, All the meats were flavorful and juicy. CousCous was a bit dry. Nicely presented in a wood cutting board. I would certainly return.
My newest favorite restaurant! The food is delicious, and represents classic Middle Eastern cuisine.
Amazing service and delicious food . Highly recommended
Wonderful food with fantastic flavors. The Moroccan dishes were fabulous. We were delighted to find this place! It's a bit if a drive for us, but we'll be back.
I had the hummus dish, which was plentiful, for the appetizer and the beef shawarma platter for dinner. Both tasted amazing and were good sized portions. Shabo's nailed it!!
We enjoyed experiencing Shabo’s. We reserved a table on Open Table and they had the table ready when we arrived. The restaurant was quiet, which we love! It’s nice to hear a conversation. We had the massive platter. All the meat was prepared as we had asked, very tender, and delicious. The couscous was great as well. Although the massive platter fed all five us just fine— I expected a little more for the price. Other than that, it was very good!
February 2, 2018, was our first time eating at Shabo’s. The food was great - a great change of pace from the everyday American cuisine. After recently completing the Master Cleanse, we were looking to eat as clean as possible and remembered Shabo’s! Had the lentil soup with the hummus platter as appetizers. Main courses were falafel platter, salmon platters, and an extra lentil soup (yes, it was just that good) with the Mediterranean salad. To wash it down, the homemade lemonade😊
6 of us had dinner there on a Saturday night. The menu is Egyptian, as is Shabo, the owner.
We ordered from their extensive menu and chose a variety of lamb, chicken and beef entrees. We ordered Cous Cous, which was delicious and ate saffron rice, as well as sweet potatoes, which in truth were the least appetizing. Shabo came to greet us toward the end of dinner and was very gracious. I hear their brunch is delicious so we plan to go back!
Decided to come here last minute for Mother’s Day dinner and enjoyed ourselves. All of the adults got the Chefs Special which included a lamb kebob, two sides, an appetizer and a glass of beer or wine for $25. It was a great deal and everything was delicious. The hummus and falafel were especially good, as were the couscous and salad and fries. I brought my kids who can be kind of picky but there are enough American dishes on the menu for kids or finicky adults. My son had the Philly Cheesesteak which he loved and a side portion of grilled lamb with fries was the perfect size for my 6-year-old for dinner. There are so many options in Hollywood but we enjoyed the food and thought it was a great deal for the price.
The food was wonderful. We will definitely go back
Shabos took my special requests and made the night wonderful. The food and drinks were great, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. Definitely coming back soon for lunch.
Our beautiful waitress was outstanding!
Good food & excellent service.
We love Shabo's! Such good food. Probably some of the best falafel I have EVER had. Such delicious food every time we go! Will continue to be back!
Good food! All of us enjoyed our meals.
Really great place for delicious food. I loved the BBQ rib. It was a huge hunk of beef on the bone cooked slowly and flavor was unparalleled. The couscous was also delicious, cooked with rainsins and cashews. My only complaint, and it was a big problem for me, was that the phone kept ringing and it seemed like no one was answering. The waitress was very pleasant and the location ideal. Laid back, family friendly in a all-inclusive, old-world sort of way.
Fabulous portions, well done, chef takes pride in his cooking, very authentic Egyptian food. Very reasonable prices.
Was in search for a vegetarian menu. Used a Google search and came upon Shabo's. Service was good, food was pretty good, though one member of the party wasn't pleased with food choice, the waitress did take it back, asked if she wanted something else, and she was accommodated. The waitress could have been just a little more attentive. She had to be called over for more water (reason for 4 stars). She was very accommodating when our party went from 6 to 7, just a matter of adding another place setting. Parking was A little difficult to find, though there is a huge lot directly across from the restaurant, it didn't appear to be legit... no lighting, NO stalls, NO markings, though there was a parking attendant. I would definitely return and recommend to others.
We fell upon Shabos because other locations were packed. Immediately this has turned into a favorite. The food is incredibly authentic, delicious, high quality. At one point our table was silent because everyone was simply enjoying the food! We LOVED it. The tarjine meals were the best, and I've never liked baklava, but this was homemade. The mezza plate, hummus, lentil soup, kababs, etc, ALL excellent. I can't say enough good things. Casual enough for last minute and decorative enough for a special night out.
We had New Year's Eve dinner here with our friends from Philadelphia. The food was fresh and delicious! Loved their combo platter ! Shabo's barbeque was outstanding!
Our waitress Oksana was just wonderful, made us feel so welcoming and comfortable.
Will definitely come back again!
We went with friends and were seated at a table near the window. There was only one other table occupied so we received a lot of attention. We picked $19.99 dinner option which included a drink (wine or beer), appetizer and main dish. The food was prepared well and tasted very good, meat (choice of beef or lamb) was quite tender. The service was friendly and prompt. I recommend it as a casual dinner place for family or group.
Best Middle Eastern food in Miami! Falafel to die for. Great service. Casual atmosphere. Below average interior.
The food was great, made with fresh, quality ingredients and the service was friendly and attentive.
