Penne pasta, baked with eggplant in a ricotta & tomato basil sauce topped with melted mozzarella
Mozzarella, Jalapeño peppers, grilled chicken, Caesar salad
Pancetta, shallots, black pepper & egg yolk with a touch of cream
Extremely disappointed. Soup was awful and they would Not remove it from my bill! Service was lacking the they are jacking with the lights as we are trying to finish the meal. Staff was hanging out at the front of the
Restaurant by our table and all talking at the end of the night. Completely unprofessional the way we were treated and what we witnessed
Veal Parmigiana was the special. Good, but not great. However the accompanying penne pasta with cheese and butter sauce were fantastic. My wife's pumpkin ravioli was also excellent. Caesar salad dressing was good, but lettuce was not as crisp as I like.
My mom and two sisters got together for a Christmas dinner, a rare occasion! Everything was perfect! We plan to be new frequent customers!
Great spot for a romantic date night
Great Italian food made by actual Italians in the kitchen. Reservations recommend and definitely worth its. Apps, drinks, and main dishes were great. Will be the only place I eat in that area. Thanks k you.
The food was fantastic. The service was less than stellar but the industry is getting it’s butt kicked right now, so I think reasonable to cut some slack there. Overall a great experience for our party of seven for a birthday dinner.
I would love to give a full 5⭐️ rating, but I can’t. Compared to my last visit (which was before COVID), the food this time was just okay. My food was warm, not hot, so it was cold by the time I was halfway through the meal. Our server was present, but not attentive. We had to “wave him down” a few times for drink refills (could be staffing issues like everywhere else). This was supposed to be a special celebration for my wife’s birthday, but in my opinion it was not as special as I would have preferred.
It was meh.
It was a birthday celebration, but no cake….
Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly attentive staff.
We had the unfortunate experience of sitting on the most uncomfortable benches ever! Our party of six were crammed into a hot corner. My fish was wonderful and our server was super- GET RID OF THE LOW TABLES AND HORRIBLE BENCHES!
We had family in from out-of-town visiting and despite making reservations earlier in the week, when we arrived at our designated time our table was not completely set. It was clear from the start the server wanted us to order our supper and not linger. The food is straight-forward Italian.
Towards the end of supper, the host added another table to the end of our seating and a chair at the head of the table clearly indicating they needed the table and wanted us out. Nothing was said to us however and I found this to be very rude.
Solid basic Italian on Pearl Street. Totally empty when we arrived but it was pretty late for lunch. Italian music nice but very loud. Food good but unremarkable, service was adequate.
I had butternut squash ravioli which was very good my daughter had penne which was good. Very pricey for the proportions.
Have been many times, Restaurant needs updating but did good.
This is one of our go-to spots. The food is always great
All 10 classmates rated their food as excellent. The restaurant was very accommodating for our group. The table was ready and set up we did not have to wait. True Italian food and everyone had different entrees. All the pasta dishes one could tell was homemade pasta. The person ordering the trout kept raving how delicious his meal was. The portions were adequate, those who couldn’t finish had requested take home containers because the food was that good.
Hostesses not helpful, and not friendly. Tried to buy gift card and they said were too busy despite nobody at the hostess stand. Waiter was rushed and disinterested. It was so noisy I could not here him.
Great food, atmosphere and service!!
Sforno always abides by our dietary restrictions and delivers excellent dishes.
This was our first time eating here and we were very pleased. The food and service were amazing. We will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend it!
Holy Cannoli this place was unexpectedly fantastic. Everything we had was phenomenal. The ravioli dizucca was the perfect fall combination of butternut squash and sage, the Cannelloni was a uniquely wonderful combination of flavors while the Gnocci and Bolognaise were perfectly executed traditional dishes. Don't sleep on this place!!
Maybe okay for college kids, but not a good destination for foodies.
It was just a business lunch, but it was great!*
Waiter was unengaged and unhelpful. Had to ask for everything food was good but service was poor
We enjoyed a meal on the patio, people watching on Boulder Mall on a Saturday night. Heat lamps kept us perfect. It's expensive, but great location. Red Sangria and clam linguine was YUM.
The food was good, but coming from Northern NJ, not outstanding. We really had to coach the waiter about when to bring the food. We got there early and really wanted to linger over dinner, but that was not the vibe we were getting. When paying, they told me my credit card didn't go through, as it was flagged as a "fraudlanet charge". I showed them my driving license and told them to go back and try again. Same result, so my husband used his card. This morning I have multiple charges and notifications via email from my credit card company. When I called the restaurant, they said to wait a couple of days for it to "sort itself out" as there really wasn't anything they could do. I'm sure they wouldn't like it if I have to file a fraudulent charge claim with the credit card.
Dinner and service was amazing! The side is a bit tight and very loud but we had a great night!
Authentic Italian food that is very consistent year in year out.
I’ve been here 3 times in the last 2 months. The food is delicious and service exceptional. Last night we sat inside and as the restaurant filled up it got very loud. There is a lovely outdoor patio when the weather cooperates. Really authentic Italian and such nice servers!
We took part in the “first bite“ promotion in Boulder. We were on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. It was pretty loud and full, but we expected this. We had to ask about “first bite” and the server told us they weren’t offering it unless people asked for it specifically. She brought us the special menus which had a number of great options. The portions were huge, and the food came out fast and hot. Trout was over cooked, lamb shank was delicious and the Chicken Valdostana doused in sauce but yummy. The server was kind of flip and when I asked if she could take a quick photo of our party, she said “No, not right now. Maybe later…” Everyone in our party has hospitality background and have worked as servers and bartenders over the years. That didn’t sit well. Probably impacted her gratuity overall. In general, the food and atmosphere were good. Good enough that we will probably return. Everything tasted real good and was authentically Italian. Service could use a bit of improvement though…
Exceptional Italian food and great ambiance with bar
Awesome all around. True Italian food. Can’t wait to come back.
It was a very cozy place and the food was good. Great location on the Pearl Street mall.
Our waiter James was excellent. Great food & drinks!
A great place we discovered thanks to Boulder Country Restaurant Week, but we will definitely be back. From the bruschetta to the lamb shank, it was a memorable night. Great food and great service!
Went as part of First Bite week. One of the entree choices was a chicken dish, which both of us ordered. How can you mess up a chicken dish? Swimming in something I suppose was meant to be some form of a sauce or gravy. Now I love gravy; chicken-fried anything and gravy is right up my alley. But not this concoction. Neither of us could get more than a few bites down. On the upside, service was great.
For my husband’s birthday dinner on First Bite Boulder, we had a great experience, for First Bite we had lamb shank, trout piccata-style with capers, lavender creme brûlée and also linguine with clams. Everything was excellent and so was the service. Only The tiramisu was not as good as the rest of the food. But I would still highly recommend the restaurant!
Sforno is about as authentic as Italian food gets in Boulder. Most dishes are made with homemade pasta and are divine!
Our only disappointment was not being offered a dessert, as we were celebrating a big anniversary and they knew it, from our reservation and our waitperson was told.
We enjoyed Sforno. The food was very good. They offer gluten free which was a plus for my husband. The decor was beautiful.
We visited Sforno for First Bite Boulder. The Butternut Squash soup was excellent, as was the lavender creme Brule. I did care for the lamb shank, but it was a very large portion.
Sat waiting for half an hour past reservation time. Still no table. Snd no apology. Ridiculous.
